My first car I bought myself is a g37 coupe and I can say love g coupes . always turns on and has no issues and it's currently reaching 250,000 miles. Thinking of putting bunny rocket style kit on it ,seeing pictures of other fully modded ones gives me the chills.
2nd owner here of an 05 coupe, diamond graphite, 6mt with sports package, 194k and I can testify to its timeless design, fun factor and reliability. Still runs strong and like new. Keep the oil changed and topped off and it will treat you well... Repairs: Replaced clutch and flywheel $1200, power steering pump $300, steering wheel clock springs $50, and suspension bushings $200, over 10 years ownership...
9. Auto shutting doors! LOL. Good one. Announcement: "All passengers, please keep your shins inside the car at all times. Doors may close at a faster rate at higher elevation."
LOl that kills me too, I believe at the first time that is an issue exclusive of my G35 but after a while I learn that is a beautiful dessigned feature of the car (sarcasm)
Your car still looks amazing man. I'm a recent G35 owner here. I didn't even know what a G35 was until I test drove one... Wow... 24 hours later, it came home with me. I have the '08 G35x sedan. Automatic, unfortunately, but it's still one hell of a car so far. Needed the sedan because I've got a wife & kids, but it's very much a sleeper. People see a respectable family sedan when they pull up next to me. Then they can't keep up when the light turns green. :-)
Picking up a 05 coupe today. It only has 60k on the ticker. I have wanted a G35 for 13 years and am finally getting one. Look forward to seeing more of your videos.
why put 11 grand into a body kit that does nothing for power. instead just a nice wide body kit if you really want to then put the rest into a turbo and building the engine internals and run 500 whp easy.
Motordyne G35 thanks man! Yeah it was a rare find. The guy I bought it from had 13 other people trying to get there to look at it so I had to pick it up quick haha
Had a 2004 G35 Sedan, bought it brand new, had it until 2019, sold it to a friend in need... Had 150k miles on it, and I knowwwwww it was gonna keep running.. So sad I sold it. Just found a 2005 G35 Couple, 58k miles on it for $9K.. I wanna buy it so bad.. Thinking about it..
I used to have a red on black g35, and I loved it. The body line of the 35 is age less and timeless...it does not get old. but....kids got bigger and got an SUV. Then a years later I got my dream car...2013 5.0, black on black...when my son learn to drive, he's going to have a G, and we will build it together.
I just got mine yesterday for $6950 including all the bells and whistles with taxes and title included. Im an old school Z31 fanatic and the g35 is my new love. Thanks for the videos.
My first car was a 240 as well and I replaced it with an '04 G35 6Spd in 2004, threw some Eibachs and HP's and loved it like a child. I then replaced my 35 with a 2011 G37S Auto in 2014 and I still have it running clean to this stay. I miss my 35 and the 6 Spd. I wish I would've kept both. Anyway, great Choice in cars my friend. Liked and subscribed.
As an 18 year old (17 at time of purchase) I was torn when i came to the realization that an 08 G35 coupe would bend me over in insurance rates. I went with an 08 G35 Sedan and I'm in love with this car. Had it for a year now and I'm gonna make this baby last as long as possible.
Excellent video. I'm in my mid-50's and I'm a lifelong American V8 / Muscle car guy and never cared for any Japanese cars. A few days ago my brother bought a 2003 G35 coupe , automatic with 198k on it for only 2000.00. The car is in excellent shape. I always thought these cars were nice looking but I never knew how relatively quick they are. I took my brothers car for a test drive yesterday and I had a blast driving it. When the power comes on, it almost feels like the secondaries kicking in on a 4 barrel carb and the exhaust note has just the right tone to it. I'd like to do drive one of the later cars with more power and an M6 transmission. I could definitely see me picking up one of these cars to play with someday. I'm going to subscribe to your channel.
I agree man this car is such a legend and Ima sound like a nerd but I'm glad I'm alive during this time. Getting the 04 G35 Coupe for my senior year this year and I can't wait!!!
I've got an '06 RevUp at 75k now. It sat for the best part of 3-4 years recently while I was abroad, driven once a month. Had to replace the rear passenger wheel bearing and engine cooling fan motor. Other than that, I've taken good care of it, and it's been dependable for me. I've only had to do fluid and belt changes. That's pretty remarkable considering it's a high performance sports coupe. I'm amazed at how low they're selling for, but that's all the more reason to hold onto them. Might even buy an automatic sedan version for my wife. My next projects are: Paint scratch repair, Windshield chip repair, Front seat repanel. Other than that, it doesn't need any work to look like a new car. Also starting to see corrosion on the underbody. Going to give Fluid Film a try and see how it helps.
Damn! I miss my G, my engine hydrolocked on me when I went through some invisible high water. Miss jumping on the toll road here in Texas doing 125mph when it was clear and safe to do so.
Detailing and stuff.....thank you. In my other videos, I show more. The funny thing is, the service records are of me doing it. I have never taken my car to a mechanic.

Nice video. Reminds me of my old 2003 G35 sedan I had when I was in high school through 2nd year of college. The first gen coupes have aged nicely compared to the second gen IMHO. Even though I’ve gone through a BMW 650i and am currently on an F80 M3, I do miss that G35 as a first car. Lots of great memories had with it.
Very well done, good attention to detail, catalog cuts details and sequencing very good , I wish some of my Jr. Engineers would be so detailed, and take the time to document and detail their work. Rob.
bhahahhah..........this is great. Currently, going on 5 years long my female human. She knows about the 12 year long relationship with the G, trust me.
Wish they had released these in the U.K. only available as JDM import as a skyline 350GT. Soon as you say skyline to a insurance company the premium goes sky high.
Congrats on a low mileage G! I am at 180,000 miles and check my next upload in 30 minutes. 370z Nismo bone stock vs my modded G35. Best video to date on my channel.
In 2006 Infiniti offered a RAS option $750 (Rear Active Steer) its an option not discussed all to often. Not many G35's out there have this. It was technology that wasn't really impressed upon yet. Let's say, ahead of its time. And it was an expensive option. I have the RAS, and without physically getting on the ground to look for the little steering box behind the passenger rear tire ⛔**(some exhausts will not fit on a G with RAS) when you turn key to accessories on, and dashboard cluster lights up, you will see dead center between tach and speedo RAS that goes out once car starts. It only gets active when your above 40mph. Taking a turn at 60mph (normally 40mph), with RAS is just flat out amazing. You want to talk about being planted!!! It feels like the car is literally on rails! I did a few vids explaining briefly what RAS is. I'm going to do a more in depth video on the subject because it really is an amazing option for a car in 2006.
I love my Stillen exhaust on my 2006 G35. It added 17hp - the most at the time. I also have the short throw stick, plenum, cat back exhaust, and cold air intake. I will say though, I just had to replace the electronic chips in the engine. Great Car, I'm getting about 330hp with my mods at 60,000 miles!
Stillen is just like my old Invidia exhaust I sold with 2.5 inch true dual pipes. Motordyne is a true dual setup w/ pipes starting at 2.5 inch and progressively going to 3". My Motordyne setup on the dyno I gained 37whp/45wtq on the dyno. With my old Invida setup it was 24whp/35wtq. What were your gains on the dyno? 17whp seems low. My mods...long tube CAI, Motordyne 5/16th, Motordyne MREV2, 75mm throttle body, Motordyne ART pipes and Motordyne Shockwave.
love the video, I have an 06 g35 rev up. got motordyne exhaust, some test pipes, cold air intake when I got my car tuned. my baseline with no tune was 268 whp and like 255 wtq, which was pretty surprising lol. I need to get the mrev2 and the nwp throttle body. I have stillen headers and 750cc injectors to put on and can t wait to see how she does once they're in!
Steven Gonzalez....thank you. You got the right parts and MREV2 is how gain so much torque. Dyno numbers don't really mean much, but the gain does. My gain on the dyno was 37whp/45wtq.....283whp final number, base pull all OEM was 245whp. What was your gain? I am curious how test pipes performed compared to ART pipes. Did you see my dyno video in depth review? ua-cam.com/video/ISFOKiAOTmw/v-deo.html
I have a M35 I plan on keeping it for a long time I would love to own a g35 tho I love how the coupe look and you are right about the ageless design the g35 doesn't age
Dude spent a soild 3 minutes talking about coefficient of drag... tf. Like that tiny increase in aerodynamics is gonna make this thing thing more fuel efficient (and it's a thirsty girl), or "faster" 😂
Dude your car is beautiful! thanks for the tips! I didn't even know that O Reily's sold window regulators with a warranty lol. I'm opting for the g37 for more creature comforts and less crude ride. (I have an Evo VIII for track day)
I've got a 2006 G35 SC, & it's great! I love watching this video, it makes my car seem better & better. I had to laugh at the auto closing doors. I really didn't know that, it explains why it closes on me if I'm sitting with leg outside. It beats crap out of my previous 2 cars, both BMW 635 CSI's. I'll probably never sell the G35!
The auto closing doors was actually a joke, lol. The doors are so long that they always close on their own like they have motors in them. Yeah, I also have a BMW E46 which I love the design, but G has been way more reliable and at this point, with how much money I've dropped into the G; I too, will never sell.
I own a 2005 infiniti coupe 6m. You forgot to mention that it's A pure mid engine vehicle. All four tires hold the same weight Which makes handling that much more secure and a pleasure Around corners.
Hey, great video! Couple questions for you: 1) Im a 2nd yr medical student and looking for a Dailey driver (everyday including winter) and I was between 350z and G35. Between these 2 which one would you choose for a dicey car? 2) 350z vs G35 cabin noise, does one have less cabin noise then the other? I don't want to get a headache since I'm planning on Dailey driving it. 3) Can you put a double din stereo like yours in the 2007 stereo setup of the g35 (diff from 2005/2006). 4) Which one would you go for at the age of 25 as a med student who needs to drive and move every 6-8 months between states?
PlasticStealth ....Please subscribe to my channel and I will help you take car of the G with content from my videos. You made the right choice, congrats.
I have an 03 Sedan 6MT, love it so much, lightest G, it's fast, and fun. I'm also keeping my G35, the only downfall with my car is that it's Open-Diff, but other than that I still love it
I Gotta tell you... looking for 350z. Found my 06 G35 by accident and I love it! Bad thing.. Gas Gussler!.Compliments all the time. Looks Fabulous..Black. Chrome Wheels? Everyone pulls up and tries to Muscle up! Some know they need to bow out!😉😎
1) Can you daily drive this car in Chicago? Winter? 2) How much can you lower it if you plan to daily it? 3) If you just like the car for it's looks and sound but want a luxury/comfort ride 24/7 like luxury lexus/honda vehicles is the stock suspension good for that? If not which 1 would you go with for that particular goal? Thanks!
I daily my G35, but I'm in Phoenix, AZ. Find a G37x or G35x they are all wheel drive. My 240sx was rear wheel drive and I drove it in the winter in Ohio. If you are in the city, you will be fine. If you drive in the country, any rear wheel drive, snow tires make a huge difference. Yes, I lowered mine to a little over half an inch on KW v3's. Which ride better in comfort than OEM. OEM still rides great, just go test drive one. Then you will know for sure. They already handle great on OEM suspension. Here this video may help you see more into my suspension..........ua-cam.com/video/sDAiIT2qXRA/v-deo.html
I love the G! I have an 04 5AT unfortunately. But the VERY low mileage when I bought it at 43k miles clean title was so hard to refuse. I'm really thinking about switching the transmission to manual and have a shop do it. Not really wanting to let her go and switch to a higher mileage 6MT
I've always loved the G35, but I have a 2011 Accord coupe V6.....close enough. :) I put 60 plus miles on her a day for work, and I have no plans to get rid of it. Sitting at 95,000 miles now. :)
Alex Moran ....keep oil in the Honda it will also do close to 300,000 miles. I see you are checking out my channel, enjoy and thank you. I also daily my G35. I used to drive 55 miles every day for work. Finally a field rep salesman, so now I work from home. I get more free time and I do not spend 2 hours per day sitting in stupid traffic.
Oh and I'm not saying the cars are similar. The G35 has way better driving dynamics, It's just that I was in a position where the bank wouldn't finance a G35, and I couldn't afford a G37. So I went with the Accord, but like the G35, I think the 8th gen Accord coupes have aged really well.
Alex Moran ....I never thought you were saying your Honda is better...lol. A car guy, is a car guy. Honda makes awesome cars too and they are known for hitting big mileage numbers no problem. Very reliable. 300,000 miles on a Honda is very do able, just like the G.
Been searching for a G35 for a while now. Going to look at an 07 tomorrow. Hopefully nothing serious is wrong with it. Looking forward to owning this car. I'd prefer a coupe, but I need the AWD for where I live so sedan it is.
I got one a few weeks ago for $6,500 after my other car got totaled out. It's got 148,570 on it. I looked at the car fax and it had no major issues or wrecks etc. These cars can really go that high if properly maintained? That's impressive to say the least.
Original owner of a blue '05 Coupe with all the options. Car is still bone stock. Tried to sell it and got no interest, just low ball offers ~$1500. Going to part it out since it's worth more that way (yes, parting out a clean, stock, one owner car that still runs). Keeping the essentials to make it a track car. Anyone need anything? Has a black leather interior with the optional carpet floor / trunk mats. May consider selling essential parts to install go-fast bits (intake/exhaust, engine bay accessories, 19" wheels, steering wheel, sheet metal, aero stuff, sunroof parts, door parts, etc.).
My dad gave me his 03 sedan with 170000 miles on it. I ran it to 320k. Needless to say I bought another G.
As long as you keep up with the minor maintenance you wont need to worry about shit

Even though I’ve gone through a BMW 650i and am currently on an F80 M3, I do miss that G35 as a first car. Lots of great memories had with it.
Reason #8: My 06 5AT also has the orange stitching and sports suspension
Reason #9: lmao... The shin crusher as a "feature"
Ellipsis of Triple Tap you got ikey too?
+Tyler: yep and it screws with me every time I drive my wife's car that has the fob to open yet requires the key to start... ugh
Sheesh I’m 18 tryna but a car this is my go to car I want to get first i love the smooth look 😤‼️
7 years parked winters 05 g35 coupe triple black ...86500 miles imported from atlanta georgia .all good...waiting on spring
It’s honestly the holding the lock button to roll down the windows that sold me lol
Very well done, good attention to detail, catalog cuts details and sequencing very good , I wish some of my Jr. Engineers would be so detailed, and take the time to document and detail their work.
Rob.
I may buy my 1st G35 this month. It's an 04 Infiniti, with about 140,000 miles.
Ninety5th Tower Did you buy it? How has the reliability been?
Andrew Fitch G35 are really reliable with no major issues what’s so ever.
Was trying to decide between buying a g35 and a 350z I think this is more up my alley
Alright man, we get it.. If your car was a female in human form, you'd be all over it........
I can say that because I would too.
bhahahhah..........this is great. Currently, going on 5 years long my female human. She knows about the 12 year long relationship with the G, trust me.
Just picked up my 05 g35 163k miles for 3,000 love this car 6 speed
I just bought one here in Okinawa, Japan with the equivalent of 33k miles.
My 2005 G35 sedan has 187K miles... and it sounds awesome!
have a 2004 with 46k miles in 2019
Emad Saad Drastic Measures Hip Hop damn nice man
Wish they had released these in the U.K. only available as JDM import as a skyline 350GT. Soon as you say skyline to a insurance company the premium goes sky high.
I bought a 05 g35 coupe yesterday with 65k miles! Used your tip video on what to look for when I went to buy it!
Congrats on a low mileage G! I am at 180,000 miles and check my next upload in 30 minutes. 370z Nismo bone stock vs my modded G35. Best video to date on my channel.
240kenny how much you got it for?
The windows coming down with the key fob are the biggest flex when I get groceries
Just bought my 04 g35 coupe and i have just ordered the motordyne exhaust for it!
You will not be disappointed. Congrats!
She's a beauty bro n top of she sounds like a beast..love it
Im 15. This summer 2020 im going to work all summer and save up im gonna keep grinding till i can buy my own g35
Happy early 16th birthday and wise choice. I'm going on 15 years of ownership with my G and I'll still be here when you get yours.
The teacher said we weren’t allowed to use Wikipedia as a source
Just steal the sources they use down at the bottom and pretend you read it out of a book. Works for nursing school.
JazzyCup lol
Dude spent a soild 3 minutes talking about coefficient of drag... tf. Like that tiny increase in aerodynamics is gonna make this thing thing more fuel efficient (and it's a thirsty girl), or "faster" 😂
hahhahaha damn. this was too funny, holy shit lol
Selling my 2003 G35 coupe with 90k miles, automatic, all original. From Texas $6900. Gold on tan.
shireen khan is it flood damaged?
Dude your car is beautiful! thanks for the tips! I didn't even know that O Reily's sold window regulators with a warranty lol. I'm opting for the g37 for more creature comforts and less crude ride. (I have an Evo VIII for track day)
potentially buying one tomorrow thanks for the video!!!
I've had a 2005 Infiniti G35 and Factory suspension tends to ride a lot better than the aftermarket ones
I bought 2013 g37xs sport package in the salvage auction at $2000 totaled out $2456 and fixed it,it has 85000 miles and is like a machine
Getting an 06 w/ 69k 6-speed (bonestock) for $7600 in a couple of days... I CANNOT WAIT. Oh btw, it’s gonna be my 2nd G. 😃
10:50 I started shaking, 10:55 I cam.
Why TF is his car so mint? Dayumm. Good work fam.
Yeah, I also have a BMW E46 which I love the design, but G has been way more reliable and at this point, with how much money I've dropped into the G; I too, will never sell.
stevebrownrocks hbbhhhh
@@MotordyneG35 I think the door checks Infiniti uses actually is a "automatic" closure assist
I own a 2005 infiniti coupe 6m. You forgot to mention that it's
A pure mid engine vehicle. All four tires hold the same weight
Which makes handling that much more secure and a pleasure
Around corners.
Hey, great video! Couple questions for you:
1) Im a 2nd yr medical student and looking for a Dailey driver (everyday including winter) and I was between 350z and G35.
I want to buy one so much, couple days ago I found one but the Nissan version, the Skyline 350GT V35, really good car
Just got mine 2 days ago. I am so in love.
PlasticStealth .....Congrats. What G did you get?
Black '05 G35 coupe. First car purchase.
PlasticStealth ....Please subscribe to my channel and I will help you take car of the G with content from my videos. You made the right choice, congrats.
After I bought a gs300 I’ve been with Lexus ever since get a gs350 a or 2nd generation Gs and you won’t be disappointed
I found a gs300 for 850 but it needs front clip replaced
Is it wort to get 06 with 120k miles for 5k$ ???
I have an 03 Sedan 6MT, love it so much, lightest G, it's fast, and fun. I'm also keeping my G35, the only downfall with my car is that it's Open-Diff, but other than that I still love it
My G35 has 223K on it so far, engine still sounds like it has a lot of life left in it but then again i maintain my cars religiously lol
I Gotta tell you... looking for 350z. Found my 06 G35 by accident and I love it! Bad thing.. Gas Gussler!.Compliments all the time. Looks Fabulous..Black. Chrome Wheels? Everyone pulls up and tries to Muscle up! Some know they need to bow out!😉😎
You kept that G really nice. Looks great.
Wow, you have 2 million hits on your channel, congrats!
Turning the key to the right will roll the windows down and then you can silence the alarm by holding the lock and unlock buttons on the Fob.
hopefully gonna pick up a 2006 coupe with 101k on it, 6 speed as well, im hype af
I just bought my second G35 coupe I just can't live without it this one is black and manual 2006
Might be my first car
i got my 2006 g35 for $5,000..165,00 miles.its still a good car
Got an 03 G35 CP for 2700 with 140'000 miles running solid
That's impressive to say the least.
johnsos9 .....No I am lying. Yes, plenty of documented cases hitting 300k. I will be one of them too. Only at 160k now.
Very clean car. It looks immaculate.
Sweet ride! I think I'll be buying one soon. Great video.
Thank you, you will not regret your purchase!
My 03 accord coupe did the same thing with the doors. I replaced the door checks and it was good as new.
What’s your email I definitely could use parts for my o4 g35
I love your car dude especially with the staggered wheels
Great summary. I'd pay to have someone find a good one for me.
I just bought a 07 140k miles for 5k seems like a lot but I love the car
Just picked up another coupe
07 G35 6MT 37,000miles !!!
Timeless car, would love to upgrade to a g35
