His first solo project was actually The March Ahead, which was closer sounding to Attack Attack's self-titled, he even kept it going till 2020, go check it out if you want something with a more metalcore flavor

Found Bilmuri through you when you had him on your Stream some years ago, when he put out BOUTTA CASHEW. Been a fan ever since. The man has that huge positive golden retriever energy and I absolutely love it. American Motor Sports is a certified 0 skips album, just straight up banger after banger. Quickly became one of my favorite musicians, right up there with Sleep Token. Imagine my surprise when I saw that poster. Got tickets, November can't come soon enough!

Bilmuri is me and my girls absolute favourite, and going to see them live is like stepping into somewhere you belong. It feels like home more than any other place or shows I've ever been too. He makes you feel like family who is joking around at his shows. It's so inviting and just... feel good

The Bilmuri fan base is SO fun and refreshing too. I absolutely love that so many people are more open to blending genres and I really love the overall sentiment / attitude etc around music is also making a big turning point. If you think about it, Bilmuri is the perfect fit and compliment for Sleep Token. What really needs to happen is....Bilmuri needs to CLOSE with a few songs for Sleep Token, that way we don't all go home so freakin' emotional with Vessel closing with Euclid.
been listening to bilmuri since he released pain. finally got to see him live about 2 weeks ago and i can confidently say that it was the best, most high energy show ever. And Gabi Rose is such a cool fucking add for touring.
An absotlute machine of musical genius, he's been pushing boundaries for 16 over years now. Very good to see him finally get the recognition he deserves. The first 4 bilmuri albums will always have a special place in my heart for the real sad boi hours.

I'm not ashamed to admit I only heard of him when going through Sleep Token's upcoming shows in Spotify and noticed there was one name repeating every time.
I haven't really heard his songs yet since I'm the kind to stick with one genre or style for a While so it takes me a bit to get in the headspace to listen to new stuff, but now I'm excited to get into it since he seems like a chill dude who just wanted to make something fur for himself
i'va been a metalhead since 12 and i never hated country music, my hate for "music" (because i dont consider it music) goes to flamenco, regueton and most of latin american music :)
Johnny Frank is the man. Bilmuri are amazing, happy to see them get more recognition although loved the post-hardcore heavy style they had with tracks like Teal and Pain years ago. Nik hats off for giving more talented musicians on your platform.
For years he would never come to the west coast due to "not being popular enough to sell shows out there". Then he FINALLY announces a tour that comes here, AND EVERY SHOW OUT HERE GETS SOLD ALMOST INSTANTLY. Ive been wanting to see him live since 2018
I need to brush up on Bilmuri's catalogue. Seeing them in Chemnitz in November and beyond excited for both the opener and seeing sleep token again.
My love for country music is unbreakable. So basically it's the other way around thanks to Guitar Hero Nik. How a fan of country music began his road to metal music. That'll be me I'm talking about. But I see where it's going though.

I absolutely love playing some Bilmuri for people that have never heard it before and getting them into it and then showing them a music video. No one believes it's him. 9 outta 10 times the next time I see them, they're huge fans and thank me for introducing Bilmuri into their lives. Makes me wanna crank my hog.
As a lover of southerncore I never once thought about countrycore we was mixing southern rock and metal core. Which I will say i still like better at the end of the day. Bands like Maylene and the sons of disaster, American sixguns , his name was iron, the Holly springs disaster, a girl a gun a ghost, once nothing especially, All's quiet song - Bear Grylls, even older Memphis may fire had a southern core twang, and then he is legend and plenty more.
Better Hell was in my recommended at like 49K views and been a fan ever since
American Motorsports was my album of the year.
Picking up Gabi is a huge W. I feel like Johnny has assembled an A Team of musicians around him and they all have the same energy.

I'm happy for Johnny's success. I wish he didnt have to pander to a crowd of people that make me ultimately cringe. But i'm stoked he was able to find a new boundary to blur within the genre, and drawing more people into core music.

Super happy for Bilmuri’s success! Unhappy that I can’t listen to this album because my autisms reaction to country guitar tone and vocal inflections is to become angry to the point that it’s like someone kicked my puppy directly in front of me. Hopefully the next album steps away from country into a more respectable genre blend

I do like country (Death South, Colter Wall, The Heavy Horses, The Steel Woods, White Buffalo etc etc), but not really the country that's on the radio that Bilmuri kinda leans towards to in his music. So while I do like country, and obviously all sorts of metal. Bilmuri pinpoints the exact things I don't like in either metal or country lol.
That is not to say I don't think he's a good artist; infact I think he's an important musician that shows artists that it's okay to evolve and experiment far outside of your established genre. But for me it's just a sad combination of my preferences and his music not aligning lol.
