The Graduation Day finale is iconic because it perfectly captures the weird sense of ironic oldness you have at that age. Your world is ending, but also beginning. I've never felt as old as I did at 18. Such a strange memory.
Lol it never came up to my mind back then atleast that's what I remember but I've been quite anti social so my main problem was that fact I have to get to know new people at university that I never finished/finding my first job😅 Now I feel old only several years before I'm forty.
The trip Angel did approaching Buffy wasn't scripted. David actually tripped but both he and Sarah stayed in character so they kept it in. lol Her "stealthy" comment was used for the "You've been a real klutz today." I love this show. haha
The fight sequence between Buffy and Faith has to be one of the all-time greatest fight sequences on television ever. It was so well choreographed, and the musical score really set the tempo and the tension.
This Buffy and chuck had the best fight scenes in tv in fact chuck won an emmy for its fight scenes in fact Yvonne Strahovski did most of the stunts herself
@@julesreacts Exactly! Buffy was just holding onto the knife for safekeeping and always intended to return it to its rightful owner! You would have done the same thing Juliette, I'm sure! 🤣
Jules, we don't need to skip ahead to the "good stuff". It's you, your thoughts, emotions and reactions that are the good stuff. If I just wanted the show, I could just pull out my box set or go to Hulu. Your reactions bring back memories of how I felt watching it. The emotions I felt and even how life events have changed them, is what you give me. I was lucky in that I watched episode by episode. There were no spoilers because the future episodes hadn't even been filmed yet. I read a lot of movie magazines like Starlog, Fangoria, Empire, etc, that I knew Angel was getting his own show, but how it was going to happen was a mystery. The good stuff is and always will be you.
😭😭😭 thank you!!! My goodness.... I so needed to read those words. It can be somewhat daunting making these videos, sharing my thoughts, being so "out there". Sometimes I do second guess everything and feel a bit self conscious.... so to read something like this is just so incredible. Thank you 💜

Another great episode! Xander is the perfect example of courage, he believes he is going to die but refuses to abandon his friends. SMG and Dushku are both great in this episode, and their final fight is epic. The fight choreography in this show is always interesting and inventive. Thanks for a fun video!
The fight between Buffy and Faith is one of my favourites in the whole show, and I love the score! I really like the relationship between Faith and Mayor. If you put aside all the evil, they're really cute.
Isn't it just heartwarming that Buffy arranges for her mum to leave town as it faces another apocalypse. Of course everyone else's parents will just need to take their chances.
My favourite moment of this episode is after Faith’s, ‘Give me a kiss’, they exchange one punch each and then the pause… before their epic fight truly begins. That paused moment before the action is amazing! Can’t wait for part II, soooo good.
This and earshot were postponed until nearly the start of season 4 do to a certain famous shooting at a school that happened a few weeks before the finale aired@@julesreacts
Yea the network didn't think blowing up a high school was appropriate at the time hahaha, Faith getting stabbed and making us wait for 3 months to find out what had happened was a-okay tho lol @@julesreacts
Graduation Day part 1 was another brilliant episode with the Buffy and Faith fight a super climax. We can see Faith out of control committing cold blooded murder of the Professor. We now know where Faith's knife ended up with Buffy giving it back to Faith in her gut. All this leads up to the brilliant part 2. S3 was where the show really developed into a stellar series. Interesting part where Xander pays homage to Jaws ' we are gonna need a bigger boat'. This was a brilliant Season. Enjoy part 2! a super finale.
So... why did the Watcher's Council just forget about Faith? They tried to grab her once, failed and then ... now she's a "footnote?" She's still a Slayer.
They are too busy plotting world domination or something. The most practical thing if encountering a rouge Slayer is to have her terminated so you get a new one. But seems like they don't really care.
Very likely they were embarased by their last failed attempt to get her, and rather than risk being embarased again, have simply decided to wash their hands of Faith and focus on the Slayer they still have some influence over. The Slayer Council claims to have been around longer than civilisation, and Slayers are lucky if they can survive even a few years - they probably figure they can afford to just wait it out until Faith gets herself killed and then they can start over with a new Slayer.
22:27 Remember that big square box with the scary creepy-crawlies that the Mayor was so keen on getting? Apparently, the reason he wanted it was so he could EAT them!!!
First, sorry about the headache. My wife sometimes gets migraines, and she is miserable when that happens. I almost wished you had watched P1 and P2 together, because there is a reason that Joss made two-parters. Your instincts are good, though not yet fully spelled out on when a new slayer is called, but it will eventually be important for the series (but I refuse to spoil by calling out how or when, you will understand by the end of S7!) This is the episode where it became apparent that Faith had fulfilled Angel's earlier concern after the accidental killing of the assistant to the mayor - "she's got a taste for it now." She's fallen completely out of the light. Now on a brighter note . . . WAY back in the late 1970's when I matriculated from high school, it wasn't that big a deal for many of my cohorts and me, because we had already been accepted to various colleges and universities, so it was going to be another few years of school (sans parental supervision!) The most important thing I learned in the university experience was learning how much I loved my then-girlfriend, now wife since early 1982! I still consider myself a very lucky man that she has put up with me (including my obsession with shows like Buffy!) Thank you, as always, for the reaction, and hopefully no headache tomorrow!
Oh, I do watch two episodes together! I watched the next episode right after but I keep them in separate videos 💜 Migraines and headaches are the worst 😭 I get so many of them!!
There are so many things I want to say about your thoughts and predictions, but I can't. Suffice to say though, you have great intuition in some instances and one day you'll feel very proud of yourself. Now, it goes without saying that this is an incredible episode. We get pay-off to so many threads that have been brewing throughout the season: the Mayor entering the library to taunt the Scoobs on their own turf; Oz and Willow consumating their relationship; and most importantly, that epic fight between Buffy and Faith. That fight was a long time coming and it was well-worth the wait. It's so shocking to see Buffy set out to actually kill a human, but I think we all know it'll take more than a knife to the gut to out Faith down permanently. One of the sweetest surprises is Anya's genuine concern and affection for Xander. Who would have thought that a monster-of-the-week vengeance demon would end up falling for our Mr. Harris? Finally, I've just got to give a shout out to the Mayor. He manages to he so creepy and sinister, yet charming and endearing in equal measure. I genuinely believe that he thinks of Faith as a daughter, and I'm glad they didn't go down the typical path of having him simply use her. On the flip side, he's so sinister in the library scene, and I love Giles' instant reaction when he threatens Buffy. I always love hearing your thoughts Jules and I can't wait to hear what you think of the big, epic finale.
Thank you so much, Ashley! You are always so kind and encouraging. I really do appreciate your kind words 💜 I love the Mayor, too! Finally, Faith has met someone who seems to genuinely care. It is a shame that it had to be like this, though. I do wonder if Buffy and the gang spent more time with her, would she have made these choices to side with evil? It seems like such a shame 😔
@@julesreacts oh and I forgot to say that when Angel trips over and Buffy says, "stealthy," apparently that was a genuine accident and David Boreanaz really did trip. Well, that's what I've heard anyway.
i do think faith likes the mayor because he is that loving dad figure. he takes care of her and builds her up emotionally. he cares for her and she really needed that. evven when she was with buffys crew none of them loved her. i like the way oz panics. i wish someone would panic with me 😂 why would we watch your videos just to skip your thoughts? we are here for you. if we were just here to watch buffy we could do that on our own. you are the good stuff. imglad buffy quit. who wants to work for the council? they havent helped a bit, all theyve done is try to kill her and boss her around.
Hi Jules! Before mentioning something correlating to this episode, here something else: Since I was at a funeral this week (my mothers, which is why I mentioned in an earlier episode this is one of the reasons your reactions improve my week, together with MxR plays, maybe look into them), I wanted to remind you to spend as much time as possible with your family (parents, grandparents, siblings, husband/wife or children), because you never know what could happen next. 1. I like what you are wearing, I have no idea what the fabric is called that nearly looks see through, but it seems kinda classy to me and you look like you are going out. 2. I have to disagree with you, I think even in the case of Buffy dying there would be another Slayer, otherwise she would be able to give it up and live a normal life instead. 3. The way Oz shut Willow up, was the best way possible, also one of the most acceptable ways to do it. 4. I loved seeing that Anya genuinely liked/loved and cared for Xander. 5. The mayor is awesome. Even though he is really evil, he is an awesome father figure to Faith. Have a great weekend.
I'm so, so sorry for your loss. There aren't words that are good enough that I could say to help... I know the pain of loss and it's... terrible. Thinking of you and your family during this time 🫂 Thank you for being here, even with everything going on with you right now. I am honestly so glad that you can receive some comfort in distraction here... I really do hope it helps sometimes, even if just a little 💜
Apparently stomach wounds that are fatal have a long and lingering death. If so then Buffy stabbing faith in the stomach would incompacitate her, but leave her alive so that Angel could drain her.
I just looked it up. Buffy actually killed two humans before Faith ever did. Apparently, the guy she killed in the ice rink during Kendra's debut ep was human, but this was never revealed in the show. She also, technically, killed Gwendolyn Post, Faith's fake Watcher. Wait, make that 3, she also killed the one guy in the hyena ep when she threw him to the hyenas. There are actually more that could technically count, but I've lost track already. lol
One thing I wondered on retrospect, you can't kill the mayor but can you dismember him? Like cut up his body and hide the pieces accross the world like the Judge 🤔
@@johncspine2787 that's beyond pedantic. She took deliberate action she intended would result in their death use all the semantics you want she killed them and then directly killed multiple of those knight guys in season 5
Ah, the "To Be Continued" torture! LOL So much happened in this episode. The ending was a shock to me when I first saw it as well. I love how you empathize with Faith but also make it clear that she is accountable for her actions. I think that is something that is important for villainous characters in particular so that they are not one-dimensional and it makes them more interesting to watch, even if they are not rootable. That sneaky mayor! I agree he is the father figure Faith never had, but obviously evil and a bad influence. Looking forward to your reaction to part 2 of the Season 3 finale! I can't believe we're almost there already!
I honestly haven't found myself warming to Faith as much as I hoped I would 😔 I understand her predicament and her sad life, but she's caused so much hurt and pain to so many now. It's hard to forget that 😔
Imagine having to wait almost two months between Graduation Day parts one and two! We OG BTVS viewers in the U.S. were at the whims of broadcast TV studios and high school shooting headlines. The rest of the world got to see Part 2 on time. "The third season of the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered on September 29, 1998 on The WB and episode 22, the second of the two part season finale, aired on July 13, 1999. However, episode 18 "Earshot" did not air until September 21, 1999, shortly before the season 4 premiere. The show maintained its previous time slot, airing Tuesdays at 8:00 pm ET. "Earshot" and "Graduation Day, Part Two", were delayed in the wake of the Columbine High School massacre because of their content."
Catching up on your modern warfare videos on the other channel and what do i see, a Buffy reaction. Great timing for me. Great reaction, love the mayor as the big bad.
Very satisfying two part conclusion to this season long arc. Nice Analysis Jules. Mayor is so sweet with Faith. The father she never had. Great confrontation scene in the library. Love that he doesn't swear. I smell fear. That's smart. Great fight. The preliminary was in Revelations. This is the main event. Nice Cliff hanger. Not Xander. Could it be Oz? Willow? Giles? Wesley? Cordelia? Yikes could be anyone.

I know this has been said Ad nauseum Ad infinitum but imagine getting this cliffhanger, then tuning in the next week for the season finale and finding out it’s been pulled. My friends were SO mad. Even if the delay was only a few months, it was rough.

This is such a great first part to the finale. Can't wait for your reaction to the climax. So glad you were so into it, Jules and I love listening to all your speculation. Roll on part 2 :)
Buffy bringing Faith's knife to fight her makes no sense. If going after Faith was about helping Angel, taking a knife is not a good idea because stabbing Faith depleted the blood supply Angel needs to be cured. Faith would have little of it by the time Buffy got her back to Angel. Buffy wanted revenge and it overpowered helping Angel, even if she had convinced herself that's the only reason she was there. Faith even called Buffy on it ("Still not gonna help your boy, though") as well as it now being at her level ("Ya did it. Ya killed me). Even Jules said "Just like Faith." Buffy willingly to go there with purposed revenge. I agree with Faith in that regard, and I think Buffy makes the same realization the second she stabs Faith. The look on her face afterword shows that realization. Whether or not Faith dies, Buffy went there for revenge, stabbing Faith hurts helping Angel and Buffy is breaking the law, which goes back to Faith saying ""What are you gonna do, B, kill me? You become me. You're not ready for that yet!" Looks like Buffy decided she was ready. She decided the knfe was a better option than the tranq gun they use for Oz when he's a werewolf.
It wouldn't be Buffy without a cliffhanger! This has been a REALLY good and tense end of season start so far 😱 Thank you, Texman! I hope you've had a lovely weekend so far 💜
First comment disappeared = a common failing on my part I guess.😌 Great setup for a season finale, or at least I suppose it is, since I will not know until your next Buffy video!😅 I agree with your thinking, in the opening comments. But, I continue to be convinced the whole Council, Watcher, Slayer dynamic doesn't really bear up, under close scrutiny. It seems to me there are just too many cooks in the kitchen for this structure.🤔 At 5:32, I thought for a very brief moment that it was Jose Chung, opening the door to Faith.🤣 I wasn't too worried about Xander's premonition, since I, don't really think he is right that often, nor take his thoughts too seriously yet. I do enjoy the scenes in which Giles is just rather dismissive of Wesley, even so whilst sword fighting. Wesley is sort of a second Xander, except he does a few things, sometimes, but he is still a second muppet most often.🤭 Xander did show some empathy in this episode once again. Maybe he is going to evolve a bit more... if he survives this season.😝 "This is a very nice way to... panic" "Oh. This is too good! This is too, too good!" And how was that headache by episode's end? Good theorizing in the beginning and the end. I look forward to the conclusion, next episode. Have a wonderful weekend, Jules🤗💜 Relax and enjoy.😛😋Thank you for allowing me to watch along.😊
Faith is back with her always charming antics again, Tom 🤣 it's just.... getting worse and worse though. I have to say, I really like the Mayor. He's fun and quirky. And hates germs. I do actually like how kind he is to Faith... it's nice to see, as I know she hasn't really ever had anyone 😔 I bet you are just waiting for when Xander kicks the bucket 🤣 out of all the characters that could die, I bet he's at the top of your list! You know, it does make me think that we haven't really had a major character death.... yet. It really is about time 😱 I'm still poking at you with my index finger, but I'm tired now and need a break before dinner later 😅 I haven't even had lunch yet and most likely will not now 🤣 Have a most wonderful evening, Tom 💜
Now, Jules! 💜You cannot possibly react if you don't keep your strength up! Ya gotta eat!🤪 Sorry you're reduced to poking. i remember what a pain all that was. If I don't improve my skills, I could be joining you soon!🤣 Have a great dinner, Jules💜
Buffy has killed, or allowed to die several humans at this point. Amy's mom was human and no, she didn't kill her, but if that spell had been meant to kill, she would have. The swim coach was straight up human, she let the fish people have him. Same with the hyena keeper and the hyenas. They had no reason to believe the government wasn't going to execute Marcy (the invisible girl). Gwendolyn Post was just a woman with a really powerful weapon and Buffy ended her the first chance she got. I'm not saying she was wrong in any of these cases or that she had any better options, but we have clearly seen when people go far enough over the line, they hand their lives to the fates and that's not ultimately Buffy's responsibility. Faith put herself on the other end of that knife. I don't really see this as Buffy going any further than she has before. Yes, this time she proactively stabbed a superpowered human, but it was to save a loved one and undo Faith's own actions. The only real difference is we (including Buffy) care about Faith.
and that guy who was the first of taraka's order who attacked Buffy and she killed him, was that guy human? I don't remember him being very different from a human although he beat Angel in a battle

Yeah I was done with Faith at this point. Buffy is way more forgiving than I think most people would be dealing with someone like Faith. Plenty of people have a hard life, they don't go murdering people in cold blood.
@@paulinerobertson6836 yes very true I just didn't like how Buffy and the others were trying to make her out to be a killer after killing the mayor's assistant guy when really it was just an accident but Faith wasn't willing to accept what happened and not allow anyone to help her so instead she framed Buffy and decided to go work for the mayor and become like his own personal assassin so after that she made choices that led to her demise
@@erickwebster1973 yeah, even Xander was willing to testify on her behalf, and even after the truth came out, all the counsel did was put her on probation so it turned out to not be as bad as she thought, and yet she still decided the Mayor was the way to go, and didn't even care he was going to kill all the scoobies.
Ooooh! all the possabilities! THere's zero reason to think each Slayer only gets one replacement. By all accounts, Buffy's "death" in season 1 was unprecedented. Earlier this season, when Angel was pretending to have lost his soul and he and Faith met with the Mayor; the Mayor said not to kill Buffy, because he didn't want another Slayer called.
@@russellward4624 The fact Faith exists implies as much; and they've already established the Mayor is well connected to the supernatural happenings around town - the things Spike and everyone were getting up to, etc. The Master was likely a major rival of the Mayor's, what with the Master wanting to open the hellmouth interfering with his ascension plans. He'd have wanted a full understanding of what went down.
@@stargazer1682 but why would he be clued into slayer lore? He's not a vamp. Theyd never have any dealings with him. Only the gang knows Buffy died. Even Buffys mom didn't know that. It wasn't common knowledge.
@@russellward4624 Because he's well versed in the black arts. Why would vampires be the only people to know anything about Slayers? The fact that she hasn't just preoccupied herself with only killing vampires and became a nuisance to any threat operating in Sunnydale, which as it turns out included the Mayor, and the Mayor had been planning this for a century, and was collecting intel on other players in Sunnydale; it stands to reason he would want to be fully up to speed on the Slayer that was actively making his city less of a demonic happy hunting ground. That would mean boning up on his Slayer lore and finding anything that's worth knowing about her and about what she's doing or done. Why else would the Principal be calling him about her expulsion in season 2? The man had his finger on the pulse of the city; he was getting reports about Spike being back in town and gave orders to make sure he couldn't do anything to muck up the ascension. He got wind of Trick running "Slayerfest" and had the cops bring him to his office. He was connected and intelligent, which consequently made him so formidable, in spite of his "awe-shucks" demeanor. He'd have known the Master died, and probably _how._ The fact that another Slayer had been called, when historically there has only ever supposed to be one at a time, would indicate that Buffy would have had to die, technically, only to live; and there may have even been account of the fight with the Master or the Mayor got ahold of the codex or some other version of the prophecy about the Master rising and the Slayer's "death". And, oh, yeah, the _writers_ decide what he or any of the other characters does and does not know, or what is or isn't true; and by all rights, there's nothing that lends credence to the idea that what he said about Buffy calling another Slayer now is a contradiction. They have not established *_anything_* to that effect; and whether they do or don't later, or whether it's never actually said at any point in the series either way, would be a _spoiler._
The slayer line is going through Faith now. A lot of Faith carries on to Angel later on life and it's a bit of a game changer. I think the story of Faith though is that there will be people in our lives that are are equal if not better.

I always get this feeling at that moment:
"This entire season has been leading up to this."
@@UTU49 Perfect!
This wait between episodes isn't going to be as bad as the months we had to wait when it origianally aired lol
I'm just learning that now!! I'm so surprised to learn that!
This and earshot were postponed until nearly the start of season 4 do to a certain famous shooting at a school that happened a few weeks before the finale aired@@julesreacts
@joeychiba22 oooh I did hear about Earshot being postponed but I didn't think it had delayed the final episode as well! Wow!!
I think that was just Wesley's own assessment of their current priorities. He's not very good at assessing... Yet...
@@therealpbristowyeah, he's not very good at anything...yet.
Just.... hideous 😱😱
Poisoning Angel is a distraction. If he is well or dead, Buffy doesn't have to worry about certain things.
You noticed the volcano painting right away! I've seen this episode a few times before, but I never noticed it until this watching!
That's my favorite Buffy/Faith fight. So intense. Love this two parter
First, sorry about the headache. My wife sometimes gets migraines, and she is miserable when that happens. I almost wished you had watched P1 and P2 together, because there is a reason that Joss made two-parters. Your instincts are good, though not yet fully spelled out on when a new slayer is called, but it will eventually be important for the series (but I refuse to spoil by calling out how or when, you will understand by the end of S7!)
This is the episode where it became apparent that Faith had fulfilled Angel's earlier concern after the accidental killing of the assistant to the mayor - "she's got a taste for it now." She's fallen completely out of the light.
I still consider myself a very lucky man that she has put up with me (including my obsession with shows like Buffy!)
Thank you, as always, for the reaction, and hopefully no headache tomorrow!
Oh, I do watch two episodes together! I watched the next episode right after but I keep them in separate videos 💜
Migraines and headaches are the worst 😭 I get so many of them!!
I really do appreciate your kind words 💜
I love the Mayor, too!
I LOVE that SO much!!
One of my favourite fights! I love the fight choreography of this show!
A perfectly October outfit to boot.
October! One of my favourite months 😜
"Drain? Faith!" Lol at how quick you were on that.
haha!! Yes, it was the only place my mind went 🤣
i do think faith likes the mayor because he is that loving dad figure. he takes care of her and builds her up emotionally. he cares for her and she really needed that. evven when she was with buffys crew none of them loved her. i like the way oz panics. i wish someone would panic with me 😂 why would we watch your videos just to skip your thoughts? we are here for you. if we were just here to watch buffy we could do that on our own. you are the good stuff. imglad buffy quit. who wants to work for the council? they havent helped a bit, all theyve done is try to kill her and boss her around.
The mayor shows that all Faith needed was someone the show belief in her while pushing past/shutting down her defensive flirting.
I know the pain of loss and it's... terrible. Thinking of you and your family during this time 🫂
Thank you for being here, even with everything going on with you right now. I am honestly so glad that you can receive some comfort in distraction here... I really do hope it helps sometimes, even if just a little 💜
We’ve mostly all seen Buffy already Jules I would say. Your thoughts are the only thing that makes these videos different. Remember that.
Thank you 💜
Apparently stomach wounds that are fatal have a long and lingering death.
There are actually more that could technically count, but I've lost track already. lol
Ooooh thank you for letting me know!
One thing I wondered on retrospect, you can't kill the mayor but can you dismember him? Like cut up his body and hide the pieces accross the world like the Judge 🤔
Oooohh... dismembered body parts. Let's do it 🙌
What a way to (amost) end the season! Such a thrilling episode!
Buffy killed 2 humans in the homecoming episode. Everyone including the show always seems to forget that
@@johncspine2787 that's beyond pedantic. She took deliberate action she intended would result in their death use all the semantics you want she killed them and then directly killed multiple of those knight guys in season 5
With Faith heading out of town...there is only 1 Slayer left to 'Feed' (cure) Angel....=))
"Drain the blood of a Slayer." And now we learn why the Council really wouldn't help Buffy cure Angel.
Ah, the "To Be Continued" torture! LOL
So much happened in this episode.
Hey, thank you!! I actually love the Mayor, too 🤣 he's funny and quirky!
Very satisfying two part conclusion to this season long arc.
Nice Analysis Jules.
Mayor is so sweet with Faith. The father she never had.
Great confrontation scene in the library. Love that he doesn't swear. I smell fear. That's smart.
Great fight. The preliminary was in Revelations. This is the main event. Nice Cliff hanger.
Not Xander. Could it be Oz? Willow? Giles? Wesley? Cordelia? Yikes could be anyone.
Thank you so much, Biff ☺️
4:07 Eliza Dushku, in a cheerleader outfit. 🤔 I need to go find my copy of 'Bring It On'.... but seriously, I find it difficult commenting on your thoughts for the show. You have some interesting takes but everything I want to contribute is a spoiler in one way or another. There's so much greatness ahead and I don't do spoilers. 🤐
That's sort of an issue with all reactor channels. I've found myself canceling multiple comments for pretty much the same reason.

I know this has been said Ad nauseum Ad infinitum but imagine getting this cliffhanger, then tuning in the next week for the season finale and finding out it’s been pulled. My friends were SO mad. Even if the delay was only a few months, it was rough.

Awww thank you!! I cannot say enough how lucky I am to have you here 💜
Buffy bringing Faith's knife to fight her makes no sense.
Great reaction as always! Looking forward to the next one!! Have a wonderful week!!!❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Becca 💜💙❤️ thank you so much! I hope you had an awesome weekend!
Did Buffy kill Faith? She stabbed here...but gut wounds aren't instantly fatal, and Slayers have fast healing powers...so...

Of course they would put that cliffhanger at the end😵💫🤯
Great episode thanks so much Juliette💞Can't wait to see how this all pans out!💯💥
It wouldn't be Buffy without a cliffhanger! This has been a REALLY good and tense end of season start so far 😱 Thank you, Texman! I hope you've had a lovely weekend so far 💜
First comment disappeared = a common failing on my part I guess.😌
Great setup for a season finale, or at least I suppose it is, since I will not know until your next Buffy video!😅
I agree with your thinking, in the opening comments. But, I continue to be convinced the whole Council, Watcher, Slayer dynamic doesn't really bear up, under close scrutiny. It seems to me there are just too many cooks in the kitchen for this structure.🤔
At 5:32, I thought for a very brief moment that it was Jose Chung, opening the door to Faith.🤣
I wasn't too worried about Xander's premonition, since I, don't really think he is right that often, nor take his thoughts too seriously yet.
I do enjoy the scenes in which Giles is just rather dismissive of Wesley, even so whilst sword fighting. Wesley is sort of a second Xander, except he does a few things, sometimes, but he is still a second muppet most often.🤭
Xander did show some empathy in this episode once again. Maybe he is going to evolve a bit more... if he survives this season.😝
"This is a very nice way to... panic"
"Oh.
I do actually like how kind he is to Faith... it's nice to see, as I know she hasn't really ever had anyone 😔
I bet you are just waiting for when Xander kicks the bucket 🤣 out of all the characters that could die, I bet he's at the top of your list! You know, it does make me think that we haven't really had a major character death.... yet. It really is about time 😱
I'm still poking at you with my index finger, but I'm tired now and need a break before dinner later 😅 I haven't even had lunch yet and most likely will not now 🤣 Have a most wonderful evening, Tom 💜
Now, Jules! 💜You cannot possibly react if you don't keep your strength up! Ya gotta eat!🤪
Sorry you're reduced to poking. i remember what a pain all that was. If I don't improve my skills, I could be joining you soon!🤣
Have a great dinner, Jules💜
Perhaps you should change your family motto to: I did not see that coming? 🤩
With Buffy, it's hard to predict a lot of it 🤣
Awesome video as always! Cannot wait for the finale!

Faith is too far gone killing an innocent helpless old man it was even too brutal for the cameraman to show some instead you jus have to hear him getting gutted

I am impressed that you figured out that the line of slayer succetion no longer goes through Buffy, but rather through Faith. and your right, if she dies then we'd see another slayer, luck you , you get to see the finale before we get to see your reaction to it. probably my favorite part of this episode was Willow and Oz panicing, everyone should get to panic like that. can't wait to see your next reaction, and then on to the next season!

First point before we even get going here - your thoughts and theories are something that we look forward to, so none of this self-dissing about skipping forward to the 'good stuff' :D
As I have said before, this season is not very strong in my memories so Buffy going full bore on Faith with lethal intent was a real surprise here!

@@julesreacts Excellent :digital hugs from afar:

Faith is simply perfect the way she is! No need to change!
But the Mayor doesn't know Buffy died and triggered Faith.
@@stargazer1682 because they're the ones that deal with the slayer. Clearly he never had any dealings with a slayer before this year.
Enjoy this, Season 3 is a masterpiece.

The slayer line is going through Faith now. A lot of Faith carries on to Angel later on life and it's a bit of a game changer. I think the story of Faith though is that there will be people in our lives that are are equal if not better.

Important distinction: a slayer (aka a chosen one with superpowers) is part of the mystical/supernatural world and thus isn't exactly a human and thus allows for a guilt-lessened, didn't kill a human loophole.
