To be honest, it's hard to tell if MaRoMoRoStaR was being sarcastic or not. If we really think about it, by Mr Rohn's definition of "easy", it _is_ easy. We all _can_ be rich, but few of us are willing to expend the effort, deal with naysayers and so on, _unless_ we have a strong enough reason or reasons to become rich.

+Matt Johnson Seems to me you've been listening to a lot of Mr Rohn's material. So have I. For instance, his *The Power of Ambition* series is nothing short of _excellent_. However, in this short-attention-span, distraction-full age, most of us probably won't have the patience to listen (_truly_ listen) to the entire series. Initially, I myself had difficulty staying focused on what he was saying. I intend to listen to the series again many times, (although, not necessarily in order) just to keep its points fresh in my mind.

R.I.P Jim Rohn. You are amongst the greatest positive influences I ever had, even from beyond the grave you are one of the figures who have lit the darkness of my life with the strongest inspiration and wisdom - even after being dead for years, THAT is the magnitude of your greatness. Your teachings are closer to my heart than those of my own father. I consider you a honorary godfather of mine and, together with other legendary men of your calibre, I dedicate to you the virtuous works I have carried out and yet intend to accomplish. May you be in a better place than this dark world now.

Absolutely, I watched Jim Rohn in the early 90's give a very similar speech. He was absolutely right, don't wait for the government, the unions, the economy etc. do anything for you. I learned from Jim, if you do the same as your neighbours, think like your neighbours, talk like your neighbours you will be like your neighbours. This is fine if they are well to do, but if they are working class, then you need to change. Since Jim gave this talk the world has changed with the internet, and I believe even in poor countries you can succeed.

To be honest, I have never been so screwed up as much as the last 5 years start from the age of 18 to 22, luckily I found this and come to realization and my problems is mean to be solve by changing myself for the better or in other word be a better person with more skill, better philosophy and attitude. Improvement start bit by bit and progress in life equal to happiness.

Thank you so much for posting this!! Jim Rohm's message is INSPIRATIONAL, and DOABLE! This is not just about MONEY, it's about LIFE. Shifting the perspective to simple realities, such as: America is EASY. And EASY things, meaning things you are physically, emotionally, and cognitively capable of, can be accomplished with PERSEVERANCE and a willingness to put EFFORT into them. We follow the paradigm that life in America is too difficult to get ahead. But Jim is right, that is not the truth. There are way too many rich people here to bear that out. The fact that there are many doable, "easy" things, "possible things," we can do here to become "successful." Not just financially, but with our health, with our families, etc. Jim was right, if people don't CHANGE, their life will remain the same. Thank you, again, very much, for posting this. It is life changing.

Jim Rohn's words are ''classic'', old school..but in the real sense it's the old school wisdom that stands the test of time,he was right about his philosophies about''change'', change is dynamic and it moves in progression! Broke mindset, give excuses, but Rich mind-set is the opposite, determination, strength, values, taking up challenges, successful(the list goes on...)

I think that's a big piece of the success puzzle right there. Methods and techniques change, but good principles don't change. People are always trying to learn the fancy techniques and skip over the principles. But really, once you get solid principles down, you can learn any new technique easily and have a higher success rate.

  • @howardtreesong4860
    @howardtreesong4860 9 років тому +1

He touches on some core values, whether it's in the US or not. Neglect would be the big daddy. Not doing what you can do. I can't say whether it leads to success (yet), but it's not a bad idea to find that thing that comes easy to someone and then actually work hard to become really good at it.
Put all those steps together and build something that goes in the direction you want your life to take. It's a very powerful message. You'll end up where you wanted to go because you went through the effort of making the journey.
Even if you don't quite get to where you intended to go, you're going to a better place, you're going to find new opportunities to build a better life for yourself. There's great value and joy in that.

You change and all changes, You are not a tree.
What's easy to do is also easy not to do.
Do not neglect the easy. Don't let neglect have you by the throat.
    Thanks Jim Rohn.
To everything I do I ask the following Thanks to this great man.
    Why?
    Why not.
    It works.
Build your library form the following authors and their ideas and logic will definitely change you forever.
    Jim Rohn
    Earl Nightingale
    Napoleon Hill
    Brian Tracy
    Benjamin Franklin
    Good luck!
