@user-jt8bx6wv7z we all had the privilege of being , in my opinion, the last free youth! NO social media, NO internet, NO economic challenges, we were FREE to be kids and teenagers and just have fun. I was 17yo when I was shopping at Hollister with my gf and they had this song playing. It was the first time I've ever heard it. She knew right away that I loved it by the way I was holding her even closer to me. When we got to the car she told me to stay right there as she had to run back to a store real quick. She went in and bought this CD for me. I'm 36 years old now and married to this women. As for the CD, sadly it got too scratched up to play, but we still both love this song. Just a great memory, to me, that I thought I'd share. Good day, everyone.
@@AltairAuditore I graduated elementary school when they put out that song. Holy crap. I hear this song, the beginning, and I’m immediately brought back to my early teenage days. The closest way to feel younger or time travel that we’ll ever see.
This is my favorite Eve 6 song! The guitars and drums and the emotional build are awesome in this one. Man, I grew up with some awesome rock music back in the day
This song is amazing, the intro, the calm deep lyrics that burst into amazing anger in the last verse, the smart lyrics "i took the stairs but didn't stop at the street". Damn near a perfect song.
What's really cool is that they switch the pre-chorus and chorus for the ending of the song and it works perfectly. A simple thing that could be done with a lot of songs but little touches like that go a long way

My 1965 (yellow) mustang was used in this music video. My older brother woke me up late the night before the shoot saying a "muscle car" was needed for a music video the next day. The both of us were washing and detailing at midnight to drive down to LA for a 6am call. Was a little bummed when the production said I had to remove the tint because the steamed up windows weren't coming through on camera. I removed the driver side tint for the shot, got paid to re-tint the whole thing. 👍 Wish more of the car was seen but no complaints for what they shelled out for me to basically sit around all day with free food (basically a week's pay at my retail job).

What a great video! This is back when music videos actually had concepts! Not like today where it’s just the band performance on some cheap set. Even though it looks like a pretty simple video, a lot went into it. All the shots, the camera angles, the cropping, the coloring! And it actually has a story! I miss late 90’s early 2000’s. *sigh*

This songs about a guy who is with a girl who won't stop cheating but he can't find it in himself to leave her. Because she keeps begging him to stay. And having to deal with the anger of being in the same room as the guy she cheated on him with
Nate Russell or it’s about a guy that thinks that’s what he’s seeing but really she is just friends and the intimacy was all in the guy’s head. They never show him fight anyone except himself.

what a well written song all around. I can't really believe this didn't catch any bigger than it did, this will always be a classic to me right next to all the rest. This is why the music industry is so unreliable now days, everyone's just looking for a paycheck now and because of that, good music is in a crazy decline. Sad.

To all those criticizing the narrator of the song... there are very few songs that accurately deal with the pain and anger men feel in breakups like this. This subject matter is often left to women; men are not really given an outlet to lament unrequited love in this society. Men are supposed to be strong and stoic and "man up." Fuck that. Breakups hurt guys too, and more often it hurts guys more than what is represented in music.
I was 19 when this song came out. 38 years old now and this hits harder than ever. Life can hurt worse with time.
Sad but true. I would give anything for easier and happier times.
Hope you are doing good brother. 35 myself, this song hits.

Been like 15 years since I've heard this ..the nostalgia is going crazy
When all is said and done
And dead does he love you
The way that I do
Beathing in lighting
Tonight's fighting
I feel the hurt so physical
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around come around no more
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around no more
She spreads her love
She burns me up
I can't let go
I can't get out
I've said enough
Enough by now
I can't let go
I can't get out
Wait till the day you finally see
I've been here waiting patiently
Crossing my fingers and my t's
You crying on my shoulder begging please
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around come around no more
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around no more
She spreads her love
She burns me up
I can't let go
I can't get out
I've said enough
Enough by now
I can't let go
I can't get out
What is it you really want
I'm tired of asking
You gone, I'm wasted
When I showed up and he was there
I tried my best to grin and bear
And took the stairs but didn't stop at the street
And as we speak I'm going down
Cause she spread her love
And burnt me up
I can't let go
I can't get out
I've said enough
Enough by now
I can't let go
I can't get out
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around come around no more
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice before you touch my girl
