📜 Video Description 📜
Flow State is the ability to be fully present and focussed in what you are doing. Decision-making is easier than normal and there is not much of a gap between your out of game understanding and ability to make the right choice at the poker tables. In fact, when in a true flow state and playing your A-Game you might even make better poker decisions than you could when analysing out of game - Ігри
7:55 That Daniel Negreanu impression was golden
This is exactly what I'm going through right now. I still love the game, but I'm going through the motions right now rather than being truly immersed in the game.
The timing of your video couldn't be more perfect for me. Its these kinds of insights that set you apart from other poker coaches.
Thanks for the wake up call Pete.
i only just started the video, but yeah. exact same sentiment. i will add to that, that i just started reading the book 'flow', because im soul searching with regards to my love for poker and how i want to approach it. quite fascinating, this synchronicity.
congrats on 20k subs! to more videos from the best cash poker teaching channel in the world!
:D, that intro is gold. been there done that, felt like a worn out recording. lately back being in love again.
Only one minute in but I have to comment already.
I’m a subscriber and the videos I have watched the most are Jared’s. His performance videos help unlock and implement all the other information in the subscription library
So relatable. Have you got any tips or a solution for getting back to being in love with the game and in that flow state?
I'd like to get coaching but you don't accept crypto?
5:30 Was a Polish flag, not Austrian. Also, at least I don't recognize that name to be a reg. Probably would have bluffed myself there too. Although recently I have had a motto of not trying to bluff people of a set or better. Almost regardless of the situation, unless I know they are capable of folding.
Well played and nice Upswing 😊 waiting also for it since 140k hands.... Garbage staying on the same bankroll amount for 1 month..
What are the soundtracks in the background ?
The most underrated thing in poker is acceptance that you're playing a badly designed game
LMAO the Dneg impression xD
20:00 Idk about bombing it when Qx pairs there, he has lots of Qx too, against which we’re burning money…
Yeah that was pretty random
What’s the music around 16:00?
What do you think is the best online option for Americans not in a fenced in pool?
Bovada/Ignition with no rakeback, 4 table maximum and bots
America's Cardroom with 27% rakeback, no maximum table limit but still bots and toughest pool
Global Poker with 30% rakeback, no maximum table limit but limited action at 100+NL however soft pool
Yes.
08:55 A5s you say you never go pot on turn and 2/3 on river. Can you expand your thought process here please? Thanks!
When you bet pot turn and 2/3 river, you filter villains range and make him stronger, so your fold equity in river is low, and against 2/3 is almost 0. If you bet 1/3 on turn instead, and then bet 3/4 on river, villains range floats a lot in turn, making fold equity higher in river.
good bluff with Q5 of clubs but bad call calling a polish guy austrian
What are the blinds?
You just showed me and all your other viewers as NPCs at 1:45 🤔
The A5s hand. I think bluffing river is only profitable if villain could fold Kx, and a fish with 38 vpip and donks this flop isn't doing that
20:20 why not going allin?
Cause a fish won’t fold a queen

He's from Poland, not Austria. What is it about Austrians anyway that would make you bluff the river?
Luckily for us humans we don’t need to enjoy or be motivated by anything to learn and improve.
Simply put in the work and the results will arrive guaranteed.
I’m fascinated by this topic so I’ll reply
Yeah, I see your point. It is indeed true that we don’t need to enjoy or be motivated by something to improve or get better at it. And I do believe that this would be enough to make a living playing poker if you have that discipline/grit. That being said, I just don’t see the point of spending a lot of your time on something you don’t enjoy. What’s the end goal here? Seems unlikely you’ll find happiness that way.
I will say though, that in order to reach your FULL POTENTIAL as a player, you do need to overall enjoy and usually be motivated to do it (if not by the craft itself, you need to be motivated by your goals or long-term visions or identity). It is is impossible to be motivated/excited to improve at poker all the time. But if you just hate poker and never really want to be there, you will struggle in multiple ways and will not achieve your full potential. You are extremely likely to experience burnout at some point (and slowdown your learning process), you won’t have the same curiosity when studying that is necessary for improving, you will have a lot of trouble finding A-game (which makes you have worse results and be even less motivated/happy etc etc).
So yeah, I’m a big fan of Goggins and I really believe that talent is overrated. But we can’t be as simplistic as your comment suggests.
Lol can’t believe I wrote such a long comment as a reply to Pete’s yt video 😂
@@bruwar I thought it was an excellent comment. Very interesting to read
@@bruwar studying for an exam isn’t enjoyable for most people, but it’s the only way to insert the knowledge into your mind.
And taking the exam isn’t enjoyable either.
@bruwar very well said
Do you study poker with others in a group or such?
Pete - 12:05 I see you just going for the 3bet with KJs. Standard in theory. However, I've noticed that bigger opens, such as a 3x, tend to 4bet more frequently. This of course varies widely, but I think I've concluded this over a big sample. Even just now watching your video and seeing the 3x open, I was just thinking to myself... that's going to get 4bet so often, and then it happens.
What's your opinion on this, have you noticed the trend too? Because vs some guys, 3betting KJs is a very losing play. This might sound crazy, but if their 4bet percentage is like 50%, then it's not possible for KJs to be profitable as a 3bet.
I feel like calling is just a much superior option based on my experience with 3x opens. This might seem over the top OCD to some, but maybe watch for it in your games and see if you notice how often it gets 4bet too. Like I said, this is true for some guys, and it's worth noting which guy is which... but on average, that 3x open will be a 4bet a lot.
Khaltor you’re a nit!
oi
