Absolutely. It's just ridiculous on both the consumer and companys'/repair shops' behalf to not have these. They can save many hours of troubleshooting after all, and i doubt the cost is prohibitive in the slightest.

These are invaluable for eliminating culprits of failures. I played with a PCI boot code generator way back in the day but to be able to plug into anything socketed would have saved me so much time over the years because I had limited access to "known good" components.
If ever there was a socket that needed a tester, it's AM4!! Especially with the b450 chipset. I've had several boards stop recognising the CPU for no reason at all and an RMA or replacement has been needed every time.
I like the path this is taking! It's very interesting a company hasn't thought of this already. Maybe they have on a much larger level, but simplicity is key! And this is simple, provided you have one for each socket? How much, and can you make an adapter for this so it can test multiple boards, aka just adapt to the one one you have currently if possible? This is some weird stuff I would buy! lol
I have built multiple PCs in my life and I've never felt the need to have to do preliminary testing on components before the initial install. This just seems like a completely wild purchase to make unless you are having an issue that would lead you wanting it.

Honestly, this is way better on the nerves than saying "CPUs don't normally fail, this it's probably a bad motherboard". I was right, the CPU was fine and the new motherboard got everything working, but having a tester would help ease my nerves on making purchases.
Imagine doing all that testing just to put the cpu in and have the pins bend it’s almost like you could just put the cpu in anyway and either have that happen off the bat or have it work and see if everything is running while also having the cpu in saving time
Why? You'd rather have it trying to pull power from a CPU socket that won't "fully cooperate"? The battery runs the board and the cpu pins are just inputs to a bunch of voltage sensor circuits. You don't worry about there being a battery in a fluke, or an ammeter, do you?
I have this thing. It is used to check if socket has all connections to the chipset. Unfortunately it does not work with any cr2032 batteries, you have to apply power with external supply. Like variable psu, and also you have to accurately set it to the specific voltage so it will correctly show the connections that are present. This is some naughty thing and you wont be able to use it because it is way to tricky. For the price i can say it's useless
@@neiliewheeliebinyou dont need to connect psu to the motherboard, you need variable power supply to power this tester, it simply consumes too much power for any little cr2032. Also you need an exact voltage, like 2.65 to not let led's light up even if connections to pch are broken
Yeah that will never work properly. It doesn't have any way to generate the comms for the SVI2 or SVI3 bus. And I doubt it can even supply the basic PMBus because there is no micro.
