Who could have predicted that the scientist who just happened to be part of the JSDF mission to stop the LOA despite not being part of the JSDF and who acted super obnoxious and obviously hiding something in a series known for having incredibly obvious villains in it was the villain?
I really hate how there is no easy way to heal. 1 mistake, especially on the skull trials and so much health can just vanish. then you go up against a boss with no way of gaining the lost health
I hate it because enemies love to grab you and there goes your max health. It would've been fine if either grabs were rarer or you could actually heal. Hell, keep items out of the game if they want but at least let enemies drop essence
ahhhh, the izanagi drop......I remember in ng 2 on the 2nd misson whenever I fought the enemy near the elevator shaft I would always drop them from the opening all the way to the bottom....good times
18:58 that is actually a giganotosaurus it says so in its profile in LOA's profile of their clone weapons. Honestly when I first saw it I thought it was a carnotaurus because of the horns.
They mislabeled it, Gigantosaurus has 3 fingers, the in-game one only has 2, and theyre shorter than a Gigantosaurus' as well. On top of that, Gigantosaurus is thought to have. A series of spines running Its back. Its definitely a T-Rex, they just didnt label it correctly
I don't know why some people hate razors edge. The game is very cool, the music, the design, cinematic. Like, look at mask man boss, it like, you fight with him 3 times, but actually, in every fight he have a different moveset and animation. Snake lady is awesome boss, my favorite, fkng Cyborg T-rex, cool aircraft-boss (with hiding for the last moment cliche))), and the last boss is pretty epic (even if it actually simple than other)
@@daniellap.stewart6839 in a previous NG you also heal when use dragon-magic, so... if you talk about healing pose, when ryu sit and spent mana, it's quite impossible to use except on easy difficulty. And it heal almost the same as dragon skills, so, don't see any problem here.

Guys the remastered collection is coming out in June to all consoles even if you have them buy it to show it will be worth for them to make a fourth game. Plus if you buy it on steam it can be modded and you won't have to buy more expensive consoles every few years and it's yours forever.
I don't know how it is on the other versions of this game, but the AI in the Wii U version cheats like hell. As someone else pointed out, it breaks its own rules to the point of frustration where you wanna take the game disc and throw it out the window like a frisbee. I don't wanna hear from anyone who says "I like the challenge." Not when they make it so stressful to the point you can't enjoy the damn game. The creators of this version can take their product and shove it
That's why I had to try different ways of fighting them. Fighting a group surrounded by these guys gets you killed as there are two or more behind you to hit you from the side or behind you. Sometimes you got to deal with archers, rocket launcher guys shooting at you from a distance. I was forced to get some distance, attacking only the fastest and closest, using all tools to my disposal. I died multiple times during my playthrough.
Honestly I think they should give characters in doa they’re own game so they can shine ryu has 3 games and that’s enough Plus ryu wouldn’t wouldn’t seem so overpowered if everyone got time to shine
chances were higher that we would have got dumb characters like Marie Rose and Honoka. And we all know, how DoA6 was ending with them as the main characters.
I also thought of that. The entire game I thought it didn't feel like NG, then it finally dawned on me that it was more like MGR. Curiously NG3 came out first so it'd be the other way around

Are there any redeeming qualities to this game? I loved the series up until this. I normally don’t listen to reviews but this was apparently too bad to ignore.
Sadly NG3:RE is...not a very good "Ninja Gaiden" game. NG's 1 and 2 are extremely difficult but also generally fair in what they do. Bosses tend to require actual game mechanic usage, they have patterns, they can be learned. Items exist in the previous two games, for healing purposes, there's basically just...more things to help you not just get shafted. NG3:RE...doesnt have any of that. Its bosses break its own game rules, there's only three ways to heal and one of them doesnt work on most bosses, and the other two require Ki usage, the early-game enemies even on normal difficulty act like endgame enemies from NG1/2 (enemies being able to block the Flying Swallow technique on STAGE ONE is absolute bullshit on normal mode considering that Flying Swallow is supposed to be a high-damage move that is supposed to be only punishable later on in the game as a "stop spamming, idiot" lesson)...basically in NG1/2 for the most part you could literally ninja your way through shit. Throwing weapons were useful, dodging was effective, and if you sucked, you could heal yourself. However...all of that said, NG3:RE has a very high difficulty spike from the getgo. the thing is, if you can _tame_ that spike, and start unlocking more combo options and get used to the game's janky mechanics (Sword/Steel on Bone is this game's version of Onimusha's Issen technique) and kill the mentality of "hit it until it dies" and instead play a patience game, it's not...terrible. Graphically its very pretty, the soundtrack is very good and the sound effects are nice and visceral. The issue comes with the pointlessly punishing difficulty and not even NG game difficult, but just...fake difficulty. Like i said above, enemies in normal mode act like they're end-game, bosses break the rules frequently (the T-Rex boss likes to go through multiple attack cycles where it just refuses to be vulnerable), the Alchemist Boss becomes a recurring enemy type and one of their moves is to drain your Ki (which again governs two of the three methods of combat healing), and as you've seen if you watched to the end, the final boss is borderline unfair with how its constantly spamming the field with projectiles like something out of a Bullet Hell game. Again though, if you can manage to persevere, it is _satisfying as fuck_ learning enemy timings and SoBing them in a chain till everything's chunky monster/human salsa. On top of which, if you ever wished you could play the Girls in DoA in a proper action game, NG3:RE after you beat the game you can unlock a chapter select mode where you can literally go through the various stages and bossfights AS Momiji, Ayane, or even *Kasumi* And the best part, is they ALL have their own unique movesets and character specific Ninjutsu. Though the video above focuses on only using the Dragon Sword (or whatever Katana Ryu has at that point in the story), Ryu is a walking melee arsenal and has access to multiple weapons that all end up feeling very satisfying learning how to use and wielding against the game's bullshit. There's multiple stylish looking ninjutsu as well, and the game is fast and frantic but sadly not terribly fluid. Yet that lack of fluidity was present in the other two NG games so that's less a detractor and more a staple at this point. But if you're going into it looking for more delicious Ninja Gaiden action...you're going to be disappointed. You feel more like a fast action hero in this one, than the Master Ninja that Ryu Hayabusa actually is. Unlike even NG1, there's not many combat areas that are set up to _ninja_ in the way the older games were. Walls to bounce off of are few and even when they exist, it's like i said above: the enemies are as if you're fighting end-game level enemies, during early-game. Meaning, they dodge and block things that early enemies shouldnt, and regularly, at that. it's a frustrating, punishing, unfair game with a few redeeming qualities that are unfortunately not super-tied to gameplay. it's not "challenging" in the sense of "if you try you will feel rewarded" it's just "difficult" in the sense of "who the hell designed this to be this unfair?" Punishing for the sake of being punishing, where previous NG games were punishing, but in the sense of "you fucked up. get better." it's not a *terrible* game at all, but it's sadly not the standard that NG1 set. TL;DR: Pros: Playable DoA Ninja Girls with unique movesets and skills after beating the game once, weapons feel great to wield, fast and frantic gameplay, gorgeous models and soundtrack with visceral sounds. Cons: ...pretty much everything else. Super-punishing difficulty, bosses cheat, standard enemies half-cheat, only three methods to heal during combat with one of them not working on most (if not all) bosses, two of said healing methods get easily negated by a boss-turned recurring enemy, defending/dodging sometimes moves jankily and strange.
