Yea man, being able to take it to a proper track is eye opening. Much more fun than autocross tracks, because you get to really push the car.
For the nausea, make sure you drink a lot of water the day before and during the event too.

There are a few sites. You can go through ‘motorsportsreg’ to find events

Ive been dying to do this with my lt1 but I find that compared to the ss and ss 1le the lt1 runs really hot (245-260 oil temps) is there anything I can do to help with that? Really want to track my lt1 this hard.

The oil runs hot in at the lt1 equipped vehicles on track. But you can always run an additional oil cooler. Most people don’t exceed 260-280. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you see it higher than that. Just use fresh 15-50 on track day.

@@SaldalaperformanceIll look into getting a solid second oil cooler maybe it help. Also going to do my research on that oil type, ive been using the standard 0-40 mobil 1 supercar.

To be honest, I’d suspect the lifter to fail by then. If you wanted to, I’d say swap out the lifters and you’ll probably be okay if the car was well maintained engine wise. For the body tho, those bushings all around are probably tired and so is that clutch.
