    Interesting. I like the rotating brush but a side brush would be very useful along the furnitures.

    This does look good, but ... it really needs to clean the edges or it kinda defeats the object as you'd have to get the vacuum out to do them.

    Since i have w450, i think this robot use less water and the water tank is smaller than w450. If it can run without the need to refill the water in a single charge, then it is great

    • @robovaccollector
      @robovaccollector  2 роки тому

      Depends on how big place it cleans. I don't have to refill it after 35m2 tho. iLife is made for smaller spaces, and has no dock. And also this is much smarter. I want to get one of theese shinebots and do some comparasion. :)

    What a bs they did with the station! Making a bigger station to have a brush compartment with hat a fan?
    Why not a smaller base instead?
    Can you at least deactivate the compartment fan - or does it run every time with it as well even if not needed?
    Would have loved to see the performance on dried-in stains. Everything else even some years old combo robos manage decently - AND have a side brush...

      Leave it to map your entire home, go to the app on the main map screen, then go to the settings, the three dots in the corner, and here choose the Edit area, and here you can edit rooms in your map.

    What revolution dude? I had iRobot Scooba 390 10 years ago. It worked great however forget about staying in the same room, you could not stay in the same building with that rocket launchpad. Cleaning it was also a PITA. I threw it.
    This was the way to go. I don't know why irobot stopped it. Anything else just moves the dirt around and strangely all manufacturers went this way. I looked around after many years and I could not find anything. Thanks for your review.

    • @x-0-x-0
      @x-0-x-0 2 роки тому

      I went with Bissell Crosswave Max. Worked great, cleaned marble really well. But it is dead now after 2 years. Need something else.

    • @robovaccollector
      @robovaccollector  Рік тому +1

      I know Scoobas too well. I have nearly all models, including 450, 230, 390, 385, and 5800. Those are meant to be floor washing robots only, and they can't be converted into dry robot vacuum only. Except for 230, they can pre-sweep the floor before washing it, and they wash it with really nicely designed brushes, which definitely can get more stuff out, than Smartmi itself. Unfortunately as you mentioned, iRobot discontinued all of them and now they sell Braava only, which yes, moves dirt around. They also have no docking station, and no smart navigaton. I love Scoobas, I like them more than Smartmi, but Smartmi is the closest thing to them you will be able to get theese days now. So in today's robot vacuum world it is revolution. Thank you for your time :)
      Edit: I just remembered, iLife recreated Scooba some time ago. They named it iLife Shinebot W400 / W450 / W455, definitely check it out. I have no experience with it so far, but I do have good experience with other iLife robots. It's not as smart as smartmi, but it definitely deserves some attention.

    This is awesome....if only iLife can do the same upgrade to its W455... I'd wait for the retail launch rather than buy via IGG.....too many bad experiences with IGG. Always gets delayed and miss the datelines.....in the end, buying retail is faster & almost the same price.

  • @theattorney6072

    The sprayers look a too small and not enough water is supplied to be able to soften the dried Stains (they need to economise water because of the 600 ml, not enough). Sucking yogourt or milk on the floor means nothing for a floor washer. What is important is dried Stains, water usage, and floor scrubbing.

    • @robovaccollector
      @robovaccollector  Рік тому

      Actually, on max mode it drops quite a lot of water on the floor. For some more dried stains you mostly need more passes to clean it, so that's where local cleaning mode comes handy. This thing is mainly made to maintain your home, so dried stains will not be that common if using the robot regularly. From my experience, it can get them too after few passes.

    • @robovaccollector
      @robovaccollector  2 роки тому

      Yes, this is the chineese version, it's preproduction model, and they are chineese only probably. I had problems with connecting it to the app, then I had to change the region to [china something] and everything worked fine. I didn't changed the voice, it was like this in english straight out of packaging. I looked in the app now, and unfortunately, maybe because this is chineese version I can't see language settings, only voice volume/on off settings.

      @@robovaccollector So can you set dry and mop mode using a the app when setting a schedule? I currently have an ECOVACS that I have to attach and remove a plate and if the mapping plat pre is on, it avoids my low pile rugs and carpets. I just want one device that does both without me having to add or remove hardware to clean my hardwood/tile and rugs. If the mode depends on what component is inserted, this would not be for me.
