Tulip dyes are fine, but I recommend having shirts folded and ready before making up the dyes. They have a limited usable life and if folding shirts takes a while, the saturation won't be as good.
We just tried a Tulip kit. We were camping so no detergent or washing machine/dryer. We used dish soap 🤷♀️ We did notice some transfer/bleeding when we laid our shirts flat so we rinsed again and hung them on the side mirror of the truck thru the head hole so the front and back were not touching. That seemed to help. We did get some dots of color. We shook well twice. And we filled our bottles all the way. Not sure how to fix that problem. You think using hot water would dissolve the dye better?? How does synthropol work? Maybe next time we should try that to help with the bleeding/transfer. We rinsed FOREVER and it ran clear but after a couple minutes if we rinsed again it would be colorful again. It was our first time ever tie dying.
@@OnyxArtStudios I haven't gotten into tie dyeing yet. I have a Tulip dye kit on my Christmas list and I've been gathering other supplies. That's about the only hobby I haven't tried.
Wow 😁 Tbh, I wasn't expecting that to be the result. I thought that black was going to soak up everything else. Very very nice ❤️
Thanks! This one is a great result with a very basic dye kit that's good even for kids.

Yes it’s best to work quickly! What are your favorite dyes?
@@OnyxArtStudios I use Procion dyes, typically. I've gone from liquid dyeing to almost exclusively ice dyeing.

Very nice process.
Thank you!
Really nice. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome. Have you used tulip dyes? What’s your favorite kind of dyes?

I have trouble with rinsing it and it bleeding in the white
What kind of laundry detergent do you use? Synthrapol is best for washing dyes. You can also add a little vinegar.
