Dude , you saved me on my Corvette Stinger I applied ! I had lots of scratches after I applied the stripe and planned on removing , I used the heat gun method you suggested and 80% reduction in scratches ! Thanks !
I covered my bumper with gloss black vinyl. I was really careful but ended with spider webs. Cookie your tip with the heat gun and followed up with silicon wax totally worked! All scratches are gone! You the man!!!!
Why didn't you show the results of your techniques? I like your videos, but not showing the results of what your advocating kinda makes one think they may not be so effective. At least IMO. Regardless, I'm still going to enjoy watching your videos as they do have some good info in them.
Hi, I have an Avery Satin Matte Black wrap on my car, I have a light scratch on the car so would heating the scratch with a heat gun, and applyin matte finish spray wax work??
A couple of things I would love to see a tip from you. Is it better to use a whole sheet to wrap a fender flare on a truck or a strip of vinyl that you curve around it. Look at a Ford Raptor fender flare as an example. Two-what is the best way to get vinyl into a tight indent corner (about the size of a eraser on a pencil) when you can't pull down, you can only push into the corner
With all due respect It's definitely always a great idea to show before and after pics when demonstrating any corrective process.. Otherwise it looks like your solution to the problem was ineffective. All the best!
Thanks for the tips. I have a question about the matte 1080 vinyl. I have noticed the vinyl gets marked just by wiping my finger across it. I know its the oil from my skin but how do I explain this to my client and what should I use to act as a protective coat to stop this from happening.
I've just had my bike wrapped with your 3m wrap , it's the gloss carbon fibre I've noticed a small scratch on the fairing, it isn't deep just noticeable from the change of colour , would the heat gun pull it out ? And can you recommend a wax I should use on the wrapped areas 👍 Thanks for the video , Informative 👍
hello Chris im about to wrap my hood but it had a lot of rock chips and lil scratches.. so i went ahead and fixed it and primered the spots needed too.. well ? is can i wrap the hood with the spots primered or do i need to paint the hood and clear it before i wrap it?.. Ive asked a shop here locally and they told me that i had to paint and clear the places i was gonna wrap cuase it will not stick...but if thats the case i should just paint my car and forget the wraping ... so please if you can answer my ? before i buy stuff i dont need too buy ... thank you
@Chris- In this video, you recommend using McGuire's Instant Wax for light scratch removal. In your "vinyl care" video, you recommend using McGuire's Natural Shine Protectant for carbon fiber vinyl. How would these two products be used together?
The reason why we all clicked on the video to begin with starts at the 4 Min mark🙄 Why have all of that talking abt preventing the marks n scuffs if the video is to REMOVE the marks n scuffs? Sheeeesh 🙄
