I am so glad you had a nice experience with Air Canada. I recently flew with them on a flight to Copenhagen and it definitely was not as pleasant! The lounge in Toronto is amazing and I agree that it could qualify as a fine dining establishment! The business class seat is more than adequate but their soft product is subpar or at least, inconsistent. The flight attendant I had was so unfriendly and not welcoming.I declined the meal after having a great dinner in the lounge and only asked for a bottle of water.I was told they don’t have bottles but not offered a glass either.I walked to the galley and asked some else for a glass of water and that’s all I got- one glass of water . Nobody ever checked back and asked if I wanted anything else until breakfast service. paid 4200 $US. For the pleasure!
It would be nice if the Signature Suite in Toronto have their own showers. If you want to take a shower after your meal, you need to go all the way to the Maple Leaf Lounge. In Vancouver, the Signature Suite is integrated into the upstairs section of the Maple Leaf Lounge.
The seat you got which is beside the kitchen, was there a lot of noise because of the kitchen or whatever it's called where the FA prepare food and drinks?
yeah this level of service is not the norm for AC. If it was AC business class would be more loved by us Canadians 😂. The inconsistency is what's holding back AC J from being a great experience.
Thanks for the excellent overview and report on the dining in the Signature lounge at YYZ. I usually fly non-stop out of LAX to Europe, providing a much better long flight for full meals and lengthy sleep. But next month I fly from SLC - CDG via YYZ. As you point out, there won't be enough time for a decent sleep on the TATL. It will be my first time on AC, so your report gives me a good preview of what to expect. Thank you.
Hi, I will fly next week with Air Canada from Switzerland to San Diego with change of flight in Toronto with a stop of 3 hrs. I am traveling in Business Class (ticket classe P) and I was wondering if I would have access to the Signature Lounge in Toronto. Zürich - San Diego is an intl flight but Toronto - San Diego (North America) is not eligible for Signature lounge... What do you think ?
You caught a lucky Air Canada flight, because their service isn't nearly as consistent as they seem. I'm noticing though, that flights between North America and Europe are heavily competitive, so all airlines operating the route tend to put their best feet forward, so to speak. Try flying the same service between Toronto and Bogotá, same 6 hour flight, widebody service (787), and you don't even get lounge access.
Not necessarily. Although I haven't flown Air Canada in business internationally many times, but the past few business class experiences between NA and Europe were quite consistent and good. The domestic routes are also never an issue in business. In economy, however, I think I round off the experience by booking row 16 on the A321's, which has better leg room than business. You can also purchase a business class meal service if it isn't full. Combined with priority boarding and other benefits from Aeroplan status, it can really be a nice experience in a 'poor man's business class'.
@@jhuang6264 Like I said, North America to Europe is very competitive so airlines have to put their best feet forward, so to speak. I've never flown Air Canada domestically so I can't comment on their product, though videos I've seen are positive. Perhaps my experience wasn't so good because it was during the pandemic, but it wasn't nearly as good as what I've seen lately.
You should be more considerate with your fellow passengers and make an effort to blur other people's face. As a side sleeper the tray table is a big problem for me, I really dont get why aircanada decided to go with that design :( I don't think you mention the entry requirements to the signature suite: long-haul international flight (non-US) on a paid booking or with the "flexible" award using AP.
You can't imagine the family background of a twenty-year-old Chinese student from Shanghai studying at an Ivy League university, whose family assets could probably support him ten times over in such a wealthy life

blue janitor gloves in a business class serving food. welcome to air canada. i am surprised they are not wearing triple masks and coveralls like they use to last year
how come you say that? I know many people have had many different experiences with them, but as someone who has flown both international and domestic for a number of years now, the food has always been top notch for an American courier, the hard product is great and the cabin crew have always been extremely friendly. My only grievances are the delays yet these are out of their hands.
Generally speaking Air Canada is a much better airline when it is on the ground, witness your lounge experience. I refuse to fly AC ever again given the two (yes two) near catastrophic incidents at SFO in 2017 a mere four months apart. Go ahead and read about them. They will chill your spine and no amount of decent airborne hospitality will ever allow me step foot in an AC plane again.
@@johnwellington5754 Awesome reply. Yes I totally agree with you. I prefer to never put my own life or that of my family in any jeopardy, ever. Help me spread the news of AC's safety and pilot training record.

0:58 The entry experience was a mess with a good number of business class wankers attempting to argue their way into lounge unknowingly they are only eligible for the much more inferior maple leaf lounge. Your commentary is top draw!! 🤣🤣😅
Yup, I always laugh at those wankers as they get turn away at the entrance for holding up the line. Just like those wankers without TSA pre-check got a rude stare down at the TSA pre-check line before being told to bugger off.

That is a great lounge for business class ! Food as good as most first from one I have seen
What a superior experience. I look forward to my next Air Canada business flight, and so noted your seat selection as well.
Good to see you back
They used to serve Moet & Chandon Brut Rose, the Laurent-Perrier is definitely a step up.

Quite a miracle you can make AC look so nice in the video . Considering it’s one of the few airlines I would avoid and there are better options around

You must be hanging out with some nice corporations.
