Plooking? That's a Frank Zappa quote. It refers to some man on man action! Hey I've only played 14 and half holes since November the 24th. You should see the weather here - all the bloody courses are closed. Would be nice to know the name of these courses you play. Cheers.
Brotha, we don't care if you play golf every day or once a year. We're just glad to see you pop in when you can and when you do and bless us with the way. Love from Texas.
Matt just looks so much happier and more confident and more of himself in Thailand than other places such as Scotland …also no more pressure of giving out Tokomo clubs.
I’m a 35 year PGA Teaching pro. While this guy may not be a blast to be on a scramble team…he is the best I’ve seen if you want to improve your score. No 6 irons from tee in scrambles😂. I tell all my clients about him…no mechanics and awesome rhythm to watch. Thanks for finding your niche in the utterly overcrowded, unbelievable, opinion laden world of UA-cam golf. You sir are simply stating facts. Funny too, thank you golf sidekick
Matt want to say I shot my personal best 76 yesterday and your videos and advice are a huge reason why. I looked back on my round and was proud of making good decisions and always aiming for Alaska.
This is why I love your channel, Matty. You consistently provide content with the masses in mind! Thank you for providing instruction on how to achieve reasonable goals without being a pro. Also, the occasional cooking demonstrations are appreciated. 😉
Great to see you back Matt. The most relaxing watchable informative funny golf channel on YT. Do you think you’ll be doing a video on how to break 80 with slight draw and a serious case of the yips?
Great to see a new video from you, boet! I'm still dreaming about breaking 100, but your course management tips has already made a phenomenal difference! Greetings from SA!
Welcome back PIC! We have our annual 3 day tournament starting tomorrow that uses the Stableford scoring system. In the past I would just BDE off the tee box all the way to the green. I've been using the WOTP system the last month and my scores have dropped tremendously. Can't wait to use it for this tournament and see how I rank compared to the past--while wearing my new Waddaplaya Free Bird Polo on day one. Either way, I'm a winner for finding the WOTP system. Thank you!
wassup playas! just wanted to check back in to say thanks for all the fantastic advice on your channel. played my best weekend of golf scoring two of my best scores two days running. 5 iron off tee on long holes, not getting aggy after bad shots, just smooth swinging my way around the course and sticking to my strategy of 9 iron or gap-pitch wedge into greens for maximum accuracy. waddalife! now if only the rain would stop here in the UK...
11:11 Playa I used this in my round yesterday! Landed short of the green in a really soupy fairway about 10-12 yards off green I said screw this im just bumping this up there with my 9. and I holed it!!!
I managed to fix my slice about 5 years ago, but I wish I had seen this video earlier in my golfing hobby. It is brilliant. Hope your wrist gets better.
Amazing content as always ! I'm really looking forward to buying your 699$ course on how to beat anybody with a 20$ inesis hybrid ! Luke One is not ready for the competition ! Also I'm about to move on a golf course to splurge on my golf addiction. Any advice to avoid to avoid the dreaded overdose and wrist injury ?
Been watching for a while. Love the content. Curious how you recommend to go about figuring out your yardage for all the clubs in your bag. Keep up the great work!
1. Hit your 7 iron at a driving range to a certain flag for 30 shots. Judge roughly how close to that flag you land it most of the time. Use that distance for your 7 iron. Add 10 yards for your 6 iron distance and subtract 10 for your 8 and 10 again for your 9 etc. try those out on the course and see where you finish in relation to the flag. 2. Outdoor Trackman. (strictly not indoors) indoor you just rip the ball and dont care where it goes. Unhelpful. Use a target on an outdoor range with a trackman. Some ranges might have them but hard to find. 3. Voice caddie SC4 - voicecaddie.com/products/sc4-simulator-launch-monitor-golf-sidekick-special I like this thing and there is a discount using my link. Very accurate and can keep it forever plus hooks up as a simulator room 4. Rangefinder to the flag. Hit your shot. Judge distance short or long of your target. Take into account the quality of the strike. You should get a range of distance after 5 rounds. 5. Gps watch. Garmin or shotscope.
Started golf last year was shooting high 90 sometimes low 100s. Came across this guy and started doing irons off the box early fall before winter shut us down. Of course the boys laughed. Till I always had a 170-180 yard safe ball in the fairway and shot low 90s. Breaking 90 is the goal this year. This guys highly underrated but I’ll use that to my advantage. And yes they are now copying my tactics 😂
Playa no doubt has the skill to carve the slice, but it seems to me this is for the time being "natural" for him because he can't get the right hand/wrist into the shot due to the plukking injury. Playing any kind of shot is better than sitting around waiting to heal. The sweet kind man helps us all in the process. What a man!!!
you dont fix a slice on the golf course work on whatever weakness you need to, away from the course then bring it to the course plus people whine all the time about their slice or their distance or their whatever, so i prove that anyone can break 90. literally anyone
I tried to buy some ball markers, but my bank rejected the transaction from my debit card. Just got a new credit card to try, and the markers I wanted are no longer in stock 😢. Was trying for the birdie bank card, birdie o clock, and dumpster fire. Currently only the birdie bank available 😢
I think it’s funny that he used a hybrid the whole video off the tee 😂 I have tons of buddies that use hybrids from 250 yards all the way down to 150 😂😂
Although playing with a slice is part of the plan. The big part. The Big Part. THE BIG PART. Is your short game. Down in 3 from 120 yards and in and you're cooking. I don't mean actually cooking.
Video idea: Put yourself in the position of your viewers who are just starting golf. Play left handed and show us the progression to break 90. You can show the viewers how the mental game cna still scrap around the course even with a brand new swing.
@@witnac2k15 Of course you do. I believe you- everyone in the northeast are playing the tightest courses in the world 10 yard wide. Yet no PGA Tour pros of much significance come from there...
This was my first round in 4-5 months

Hey Baus man, great to see ya. Plukking's gain was Golf's loss. Did Playa #1 shed a few pounds during the hiatus? Lookin' good!
Ordered several dozen of the cut blue balls using your link. Hope that check cleared playa

Just started watching a few days ago. So far your my favorite playa! However, why play around the slice instead of working on not slicing?
you dont fix a slice on the golf course
work on whatever weakness you need to, away from the course then bring it to the course
plus people whine all the time about their slice or their distance or their whatever, so i prove that anyone can break 90. literally anyone
Almost missed the video…a bowler hat next? Or a Stetson like a Baus?
Wild video but its exactly my type of play hahaha
anyone can do it - we all have that slice-dog in us

missing your bucket hat
which one sir
The best way to break 90 is to fix your swing issues that's causing the slice.
Boyfriend is back. Week made, next vid dropping tomorrow? Ktxbye ❤
My natural shot shape, lol.
first step is playing a course wide enough that you can play a slice
Yeah most peoples courses are 12 yards wide tree lines uphill into the wind every hole to a raised green 6 feet above the fairway.
@@GolfSidekick come play in the northeast USA i promise i play at least 10-15 courses that arent wide enough to do this on
