Thank you so much for posting this.. I thought it was a cute song.. Then it got to the cancer part and my eyes filled with tears. I am 25 years old and 2 years Breast cancer FREE.. Awesome song. awesome job on the video!
I was bullied in 4th-6th grade and my mom told me the exact words of the song. I used to cry and said i hated school. Now im stronger than before. I love this song and it brings tears to my eyes :')
Reminds me of how my mother was before she passed on from cancer. She did it all to hold on to what she believed in, that hope is always there even in the worst of situations. Forever remembering
How to fight like a girl: (aka self defense against a male attacker) 1. Stomp on top of their feet as hard as you can. Theres a little bone on the top of your feet that hurts like hell. 2. Kick them in the shins. It stings like a bitch. 3. Slap your hands over their ears and burst their eardrums. 4. Grab twist & pull their trachea... or sucker punch to the throat. 5. Headbutt them on the bridge of their nose. It will blind them. 6. If they grab your wrist, twist and yank at the thumb grip. 7. Punch them right under their ribs to knock the wind out of them or hit their diaphragm with all your strength to make them dry heave. 8. Dont kick them between the legs because they can lock their knees and trap you within their punch zone off balance and a hit below the belt will create an adrenaline rush that will make them hurt you worse. 9. In a life or death situation, bite the tip of their nose as hard as you can or jab them in the eye with your fingers....(never ever do this unless your life depends on it because you can permanently cause irreparable damage this way.) 10. Remember your forehead, elbows and knees are your strongest bone areas on your body. A well aimed hit with any can do serious damage or cause momentary intense pain, giving you a moment to escape. 11. Don't aim to hit an area of someone's body. Aim for three feet behind them so your body directs all of your force to punch thru someone. That's how your weaker defensive strike doesn't just bounce off of them. You have to walk thru them. Don't meet someone halfway. Run right thru them. It's how Bruce Lee mastered the one inch punch. (or six inch punch.) Learning to control all of your inner force and momentum can make it so that you can punt someone across the room with what appears to be the slightest physical contact. - thank former head of security for the tips aka my step dad's tips he taught me as a child.
My neighbor, Sam died on January 31 last year... 2014 from carcinoma cancer... He was my second dad, best friend, and my 'punk'... I miss him so much because on Halloween of 2013 he was diagnosed, then on Veteran's Day same year, it was carcinoma and was terminal. Three months he put up a long fight. I remember Sam for the true him.... My best friend who was funny and reckless. My punk who loved me and cared. My second dad who was there for me through everything. Within a year of his death I changed. I remember Sam for him. Then before I was born my aunt died of a 7 pound tumor... My great grandma had breast cancer but was cured luckily... My mom had thyroid cancer. She's still here but my aunt and grandma died... I have cancer in my family but I remember them all for them not how they were when they were dying...
I wish someone could tell me these things. But i guess some people have to learn these things on there own. I'm 13 and I am in middle school. And this song gave me some hope. Never give up just because someone says you can't do something. Keep on going and . . . =) fight like a girl.
It's amazing how true this song is. I found this song at Karaoke when a woman there sung it perfectly. I went home that night and looked up the Lyrics, and had a crying-fit. I'm twelve, turning thirteen yrs. old and my mother passed away this year. She had Stage Four Lung Cancer, non-smoker. She was thirty-five and in her prime. I always admired her strength, and this song instantly makes me think of her. I'm going to sing this next Karaoke night knowing my mother will be smiling at me.
I love this song! I really like the part when they say "With style and Grace, kick ass and take names..." because that is what my dad tells me to do (minus the style and grace part) and, when you add the style and grace, it shows what they really mean by fighting like a girl!
My 3 young granddaughters dedicated this song to me last night bcuz I'm having cancer surgery this Friday n it really hits home but I am a strong women n I've told and taught all 3 to be stro g n fight like a girl n now it's my time to actually show them how to do that. Wear pink for breast cancer n for each n every women stay strong nbfight like a girl ❤
This is my mom. Through and through. My wounds are still fresh. it's hard to believe that she's gone. Someone so vibrant and strong. It's so amazing that the ones we hold in the highest esteem, the ones we love the most are the ones who God needs elsewhere. It's a cruel irony of life.
I'm 19 years old and I lost my mom to cancer and I was constantly bullied throughout high school and middle school. I remember my mom saying that I'm beautiful and that I will go far some day. So here I am a college student and kicking ass, making her proud!!
I also have what you have and it was very tough for me while I was in middle school dealing with it. It's been 7 years and my hair hasn't grown back yet but let me tell you something God is right there with you and He wouldn't've allowed to go through this if He knew we couldn't handle it so just be strong and stay close to Him and everything will be ok. Just ignore all them haters hunny
I just seen these girls in concert yesterday. They rock!!!! And this song is so beautiful as well as whom they wrote it for. RIP...and to all the girls out there..."give "em hell!!"
I love this song(: its so inspirational. My gramma has breast cancer..again. I love her so much. And i believe that us women need to stick together.(: We're more powerful hten people think. God bless my gramma and any other people with cancer. I wish u the best.

this song always makes me cry. my mom has breast cancer but she is done with chemo and only has radiation left. yay! (chemo was over christmas eve) all the time she would tell me to fight like a girl, that woman is the strongest person i know.
This song reminds me of my own childhood because I was always teased like that through out most of my schooling. when I hear this song I'm reminded of how I never let other peoples words get to me. This is a powerful song for women and it reminds us that we as girls are strong, and that being a woman is something we should be proud of. That we should never just stand there and take what people say to us we are women and when backed into a corner we will fight like girls.
I love this song. The last part makes me cry whenever I hear it because my mom has had Stage4 Breast Cancer since I was in kindergarten. The doctors told her shed die in a few months. Well she's still here and this September I'm going into eighth grade. She proved all those doctors wrong. But no matter what I will never use the term "Fight Like a Girl" even for cancer. My whole family refuses to use it because "girl" just doesn't cover how hard these men and women fight. FIGHT LIKE A WARRIOR
this reminds me of my nana. she had breast cancer, and it eventually spread...she died...but she was sooo strong all the way through it. she never let it define who she was. she had the disese, the disese didnt haver her. she my hero. i hope to make her proud.

Im so sorry! I can relate to you too. My grandma has breast canser too, and I try to spend as much time with her, and help her as much as I can. Shes one of my role moldels and I love her.

i am 16 my great aunt has stage 3 breast cancer, she started to lose her hair, i was told by my grandmother she was getting depressed, saying she wasn't beautiful. right when i herd that i turned to my mom and said im shaving my head for her, i shaved my head and donated my hair i sent my aunt a picture and she cried,i wear my shaved head with pride, knowing that my aunt knows that we are all fighting like a girl for her, people may stare, but i just ask, what never seen a girl with no hair.
To all the females out there: Fight like a girl!!! God made all of you unique and special, and beautiful!! So hold ur head up high and ignore all the idiots who take you for granted!! UR strong, beautiful, courageous, and everything good. Sure we're not all going to be famous models, actresses, and singers, etc. BUT we all have a purpose in this world!! Don't let men bring you down fight back and fight like a GIRL!
my aunt had breast cancer and she is done with the treatment. but untill you know someone that has anykind of disease you dont know how to take it. My mom says this song was like me. when i was younger I did what i wanted and if someone told me i couldnt do something i just wanted to prove them wrong. my heart goes out to all of those pple who have known pple battleing cancer or any kind of disease, stay strong.
2019???? this song hits me so hard right now in my life because I was bullied for like ever....I just turned to home schooling recently...I don't like it but its better than crying myself to sleep at night

i heard this song for the first time a cpl months ago. i had it memorized the 2nd time i listened to it. i sang it for my talent show and ppl cried. including me
This is probally my theme song. I get bullied constantly but I always fight back, not physically though. I'd only do that if I had to. My mom also helps me when times get really rough.
@tamakun89 i tottally agree! i know in school i was also teased to the point i didnt care anymore and i stood up for myself and ya this song remineds me of it also cuz i have nown a few people who have comitted sucide for being teased and bullied and that has made me stronger to this day!
my fave. song ever
