I've been on this diet for eleven days now and I feel remarkably better already! I've lost 11.8 lbs!!! That testimony is my father. He's about to lose both of his legs and he doesn't care. He's eating himself into a grave at 54. He says that theres nothing he can do because his primary doctor says that theres nothing that he, the doctor, can do. It's heartbreaking. I hope that I can show him otherwise

I lost 40 lb over 4 months and along with that completely reversed my hypertension. A flight of stairs or a light jog no longer feels like death No more BP medication. This after I ask my primary care doctor (very smart guy, listens carefully to his patients and offers out of the box medical advice) if my hypertension could be reversed if I changed some of the habits that caused it. He shook his head. "Nope" once you have it, it's something you can manage but never cure. He was wrong. The fact that your doctor doesn't know something means only that he doesn't know something. Not that there's nothing to know.
It looks like it's been a year since you posted and I hope your dad hasn't suffered the fate to which he has resigned himself.

Doug Lyle gave me the final pieces of the puzzle that allows me to be bouncing in a truck all day and stay under 4% bodyfat.
His talks on overcoming binging and his entire paradigm on the extinction phase are what I was missing. This man is an absolute SAINT.
I’m having a watermelon for dinner in Dr Lyle’s honor. Not the whole thing, though, I’ll be stopping before I’m over-stuffed as to not trigger binge-eating, during which, I typically sit in bed and smoke 7-15 pacquettes of McCann’s Apple Cinnamon Irish Oats. Months ago I was killing 4-5 boxes of Walmart Great Value Apple Cinnamon and fruit créme oats. The McCann’s only has 0.5g fat per pacquette while the Great Value contains 1.5g fat per pacquette.
Better fails, better life. Doug Lyle: thank you for handing me the keys to my kingdom 🙇🏻‍♂️

This is such a breakthrough for me! I worked at a tech startup where the CFO every single day would come unexpectedly behind my shoulder and stick his freaking nose INTO my plate and ask: WHAT ARE YOU EATING 🍽
Clearly, there are Brussel Sprouts, bell peppers, beets, and mushrooms on my big white plate. THAT IS WGAT I AM EATING!!!
Yet, every day, this cancer-infested man with cancer all over his face would publicly condemn my plant-based diet.
Now, I get WHY, thanks, doctor

I'm pretty sure he uses his "bad" art skills to do the same thing he talks about. He doesn't want us to feel bad that we don't know as much so he openly let's us see his "flaws".
It's absolutely genius and lowers our guard, making him more funny and entertaining than if he didn't have those slides. Amazing work

The saddest thing about this is that it is a reflection of healthcare in the US. In my country he would have been able to attend the emergency room free. That he should go through all that because of exorbitant health care costs is scandalous.

I still respect the esteemed doctor and still think he is on to something important with his thoughts on calorie density but this presentation lowered him in my hierarchy.
