Having the same issue.... since the same sickness. I'm having a CT scan to confirm it's not being caused by a chronic sinus infection but everything tastes like p-o-o or "chemically" to me too. You're def not alone.

Lo, I absolutely feel you on the post *illness* food aversions. I can't eat so many things I used to love since I got sick July 2021. Also, so many more scents make me nauseous

Omgg same :")) Because of that sickness, I got the aftermath of it called Parosmia. I had ever since March 2021 so I've had it for 16 months 😭 It totally sucks, I can't eat anything comfortably anymore hahaha but finally this month I'm improving. You'll get through it Lo! Girl, I feel you. after I got you know what back in August, It wasn't immediate, but everything started tasting like garlic... Coffee used to be a go-to and I was turned off on that, chocolate and peanut butter too. So sad, but I have incorporated other things into my diet instead. For awhile there, I was smelling/tasting sulphur. It was bad. But I can totally relate. I'm getting part of my sense of smell/taste back 11 months later, thankfully. Hoping yours comes back too! 💚
This happened to me as well! My taste and smell came back but then a few months later coffee, chocolate, and peanut butter all taste the same. The only way I can describe it is that they all taste like mold or what I imagine mold tasting like! They smell like it as well!
I just started taking DHA OMGEG3 supplements.. hoping it can help 🤞 there’s been a few studies on it!

Oh my goodness! This happened to me too after I was sick! Onions killed me, they hurt my nose anytime I smelled them and tasted like chemicals. I could smell/taste the tiniest amount in anything. It lasted about a year, but then everything snapped back to normal for me! I hope the same happens for you!
