If you need to take the seal from the outgoing axle out, you can probably remove the hard steel bush around the axle. Then there is a gap where you can stick a screwdriver in to remove the seal. A new one can be mounted the normal way. This prevents you from having to take the engine out.....
Boa noite brother virei seu fã, gosto muito dos seus projetos não tem igual você e foda irmão. Comprei uma cb 750 Seven finity aqui em Portugal para transforma-la em café mas resolvi por enquanto deixar ela original mesmo.
In the little aluminium cap on the "brake reservoir hose".... you need to drill a miniscule hole. As the brakepads wear, the brake fluid needs to drop. With the cap all closed, there wil be a vacuum and problems will start :-) (we use this on the World Championship Road Racing bikes)
If it were a Harley, I wouldn't worry about that tiny oil leak, as if there's no oil leaks on a Harley, that means there's no oil in them. Good tip on the exhaust spacers 👍, much appreciated for sharing it 🙏
I’ve never worked on a Harley but I’ve definitely heard that before. No worries about the tips that’s what it’s all about, Sharing my knowledge to help you with your build :) have a great day
The bike is looking awesome Dan. There are so many great ideas and little tips with this build of yours. Can;t wait to see the tank. Weird little oil leak.
Nice video Dan, bike is looking great. Lots of excellent trick bits, super cool build mate. That oil leak is something to watch for sure. See your getting the heat we just had over this side of the fence, ride safe. Cheers
Hey guys great to see you popping up in my comments, yeah I’m definitely not going to be selling this one it’ll be in my lounge room for sure on display.
Wish it was a hot, humid summer day here. It was a wind chill of 30°F here in Oklahoma, USA. LOL. Not riding the cafe Goldwing in that weather. Instead the wife had me putting new flooring in the house. - Nate
Hi Nate, I had no idea would be getting comments about my weather comment but I guess we can all relate to that :) I hope you get to ride the Goldwing When the weather gets better
Hey . I just came cross your channel and very much liking the build. Craftsman to Craftsman big props for building it yourself. I DONT CARE FOR RATTLE CAN PAINT ( POWDER COAT / OR SPRAY) Are you going to place a custom cover in the huge rear opening under seat where the battery would go?
Fantastic work with some great ideas. I had an oil leak on my Honda VTR SP1 front sprocket oil seal. Not as easy as yours because I had to split the engine 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
Thank you so much Axel, HNY to you too, I always wonder what a child could create if they had skills in using machines like this only because they are not confined by the restraints that adults have from what we think is posable, I hear kids can be very creative.
Another great video Dan, neat and thorough build. Sorry to hijack, but can you please point me where to find that plate bender that’s secured in your vice, thanks.
Can you tell me where you got that rubber hose bend for the breather? i have a similar interference issue with my CB400T and everywhere i look such a bend costs either 25 euro or i get a look as if they see water burn when i ask the if they have such a thing. i can only get straight hose here it seems
Are use Loctite on pretty much every bolt that doesn’t have a Nylok nut. You can’t really over use this stuff as far as I know. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Even a small drop will be enough to have it vibration proof.
Hey there, I currently picked up a 72 cb500f I plan on making it into a cafe racer. I love the way the 4 into 1 exhausts sound but it misses having the looks of 2 exhausts. Where did you buy this exhaust that you used and will it fit on a 72 500f?
Dan bragging about 30+°C and here in Wales we're lucky if its 2°C and I'm having to use a blowtorch and heat gun to warm parts to spray. 🤣. If you're looking for idea for a build after the xv750 I'm currently restoring an 80's xs1100 special and boy is it a challenge.
I wasn't meaning to brag lol, It's the humidity that’s killer in summer for most people here :) I'm about to start my xv750 once this CB750 is sitting in my lounge room on display 👍 Thanks for the heads up on your build
Hey Mate ! I Love your Honda ! I got an Sevenfifty Caferacer Project going on too. I got a question to your Carburator Jets, which jets do you drive ? I got a fief problems with them.. Thanks for your help ! Greetings from the black forrest ✌
Hey brother I actually haven’t dived into changing the jets yet until it’s completely running and I’m able to test ride it but stay tuned because I’ll probably make a video about that
Extraordinary production work and your usual up the chart content, Dan! Nice trick with the grease for fitting the headers back on! Nice plug for Taylor. So who is doing the paint work for you? 🏍👍🏍
Great question mate these DNA filters actually have a special oil that they’ve created so that it will withstand rain. Obviously if the rain is really heavy it’s not the best option
well in my case. which is country with heavy rain. make sure the tire doesn't splash inside the body.make fender or anything to cover the back tire splash. the rain from side of the bike is not crucial except your bike is boxer or v type engine that make the carburettor live outside the frame
Sure such "finger" is a treat, if u eat the bar in a crash and it pokes thru ones visor? :D wonder if that could pass the mot. 🤔 pretty and smart engineering tho, since u bleed the system that way anyway. 👍 greetings.
I think maybe you’re referring to the reservoir but I’m unsure, It’s actually just a Thin piece of alloy covering the clear tube so it would quite easily bend if you pushed it. I designed it that way 👍😊 not too sure about your MOT though 🤷♂️
@@CafeRacerGarage ty, got it now. As said it is really smart engineering. U also equipped a membrane to avoid water entering the system?👍 oh yes I did refer to the reservoir. :) mot test is a check to prove roadworthiness (corrosion, brakes, lines, exhaust...) of a vehicle. W/o mot it is not allowed to use that vehicle on public roads. My point has been, I've been curious if a custom, in that case self-made reservoir like that is enough to fail the test since it is not standard but in a lethal system of the bike.

Wow, what a job! You definitely have the skills, creativity and tools. I am deeply impressed!
Thank you mate
Can you do a video how to do a wiring loom or how to make it all neat and tidy
I'm currently working on this video 👍 so stay tuned
The attention to detail is one of the many things that make your channel a must watch. So many great ideas for my cb750 project.
Thank you so much mate I’m glad you are getting some great ideas for your build. I’m definitely a little bit of a perfectionist.
Amazing bruv, gold standard custom job right here!
Man. You made me dream. You are so much precise and talented! Keep it up!
Awesome that, very tidy, I think the 750 is a nice looking bike from the ko to the fn. but that is a nice job 👍

I need to get a bandsaw like what you have.
Check out the link in the description, it’ll send you to the exact band saw I have.

Great work man! Just wanna ask if it's going to be bad to ride on rain with an open carb that has an air filter only?

No mater what people say there should be no cast wheels on cafe racers. Just spoke so it looks period correct.
8.8 bolts aren't high tensile. You need 12.9 for that.
