I just bought a Santa Fe Ultimate Calligraphy. Super excited. I have watched dozens of videos on it and just came across this channel and the videos went into great detail on the options. However when I read through the comments here, it is so cringe. Can men just not make creepy comments on the hosts?! I watched dozens of videos of men describing the Santa Fe and there wasn’t one comment on their physical appearance. Stop being so cringe, men!
This new Santa Fe is so interesting, and the interior is nuts! Fun fact: that digital rear view mirror with the camera view was a Cadillac invention. Cheers to Cadillac! 🎉

Charlotte and I host this channel. It’s always us in these videos. I’m not sure if your problem is with us being female or with us not being automotive technicians but either way, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to watch.
Also quite honestly while our techs obviously know the mechanics of these vehicles (as do we). They do not know a lot about price point, competitors, and the features that come in each trim. these videos are meant to be helpful for people that are shopping or wanting to get to know what their vehicle is equipped with. I think we do that just fine.

But I would love to see a segment on the engine and the mechanics of the vehicle, as well as any new advancements kinda like what Savage Geese does. Can we implement that into your videos?

Roof rails are nice, but no cross rails available even as an option. What use are they without cross rails to put things on? Or do you know if or when cross rails will be available?
So you’re right - there are no factory installed cross rails, but there are cross rails available as an accessory.

I am more worried about the dual clutch transmission, if its the same one from the santacruz, i would not want it as it has major issues, yet hyundai/kia has decided to ignore the problems it has. If its a different transmission they should include that in the videos.
That is the reason I wouldn't get the Santa Fe or any car with a dual clutch transmission. Its reliability record has been poor, the hybrid luckily doesn't have the DCT. The reason they have it is for the sake of fuel efficiency.
What's the failure rate? Don't just believe fake news. Hyundai are reliable because their long warranty demands it. Nothing to worry about.
It’s not a secret that there were some problems with the early production ‘22 Santa Cruzes, which can happen (to any manufacturer) when you’re introducing a new model year. However, there haven’t been any concerns regarding the recent models.
The straight gas Santa Fe does have a DCT. A lot of people complain that it’s “choppy” which is a characteristic of a dual clutch, but generally they are mechanically sound. I will note - a lot of people don’t utilize best practices when it comes to DCT (i.e. creeping in traffic or on a slope), which is hard on the transmission and wear the clutch pack.
@BrantfordKia you are correct. However, based on its history and application, that's just another large expense to be dealt with now as early as two years if you dont drive this perfectly on a standard 25k/yr mileage.
@BrantfordKia Actually, i was seriously considering this as my next business vehicles but i won't be moving forward for three reasons. 1 no phev. 2 no bench seat on top trim. 3 this i find insulting... relocation of digital rearview camera to a noncleanable position(palisade and now this), so basically, they increased the prices for the luxury of added inconvenience?? WTH.
I drive a lot for my business, and it's extremely annoying and very, very dangerous for me to have to pull over on the freeway just to have to clean my cameras(previous kia cadenza ltd/ santafe sport owner). While most sensors and cameras can be ignored until the next rest stop but if i cant use the damn camera cause H/K decided to change location to save money and increase the price at the same time then i have no choice but to practice some self respect and move on.

I don’t think there is a general ‘best’ colour! It really comes down to personal preference. My favourite is the Rockwood Green!
Gabi, I watched the video this week and this morning I took my 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy to my local Hyundai dealer. I purchased the exact same vehicle you featured in the video. You can save me a trip back to the dealer by answering a question. My wife has an iphone 12 which needs a cord to charge. I see a small charging port but don't see one for the charging cable. What kind of cable do I need for that port to charge her phone?
Hey! Congrats on the new ride!! The new Santa Fe utilizes usb-c ports! So you would need to purchase ‘usb-c to lightning’ cables :)
There’s usually some pretty affordable ones on Amazon.
@@BrantfordKia Gabi one more question. When I put my hand behind drivers door handle it unlocks however none of the other doors unlock I have to press the unlock in the car.

The entry levels are the hybrids! We are still waiting to have one land at our stores that way we can film it! If anyone is curious, the Kia Sorento is this vehicle’s sister! They share the same powertrain, most tech features, but have a very different design. We’ve done countless videos on the updated Sorento, and there’s a higher trim/price variation.
Gotta fix that back end.. Looks too much like a 90s soccer mom's mini van. Pear shape needs to go. Make it match the rest of the vehicle. Also why in Canada can I only get the black interior with the Earthly Matte colour? I've seen them with the white interior in the US. Hyundai, really? I'm going to pay over 70K and don't even get a choice of interior colour? Stop putting limits of interior choice based on the exterior colour, it's just stupid especially when these things aren't cheap.
