    “Isaac taught me this” haha I knew I recognized a lot of the queues you were using to describe the mechanics. I love that guy’s content, but I definitely prefer more in-depth longer format content that you post with the coaching of amateur players (of all levels). Keep it coming!

      tried something new. I knew it wouldnt be super pretty with the video of the phone but, I also thought the detail in the session would hold some value for a lot of players out there

      @@betteratbeachvolleyball for sure. Have the phone right there ready review the player’s footage was probably super helpful for her too. I’ll go pro a lot of my playing (tournaments, pick-up, practice/training, all of it) and people always ask me if I’m making a highlight video or something. Nope, I just want to be able to see what I’m doing, good and bad. Even more critical when you don’t have a coach watching over your shoulder to stop and correct it on the spot.

    Actually learned a lot from this video. Also makes sense why I've been blowing out my shoulder every week for the past few years.
    Currently dealing with insane shoulder pain and impingement, but going through the arm swing this way, it's nearly painless.

    i love it when i detonate the ball through the defender's leg lol the moment they realized that they have been violated by an attacker lmao and my favorite is the next serve GOES TO MY PARTNER :D

    Mark, great video and thanks for posting. BUT the question is HOW DO YOU GET LOOSER? Any tips would be appreciated.

      What helps me is literally just focusing on my elbow, making sure my elbow crosses by my face BEFORE my hand. You're forearm and hand will pretty much HAVE to be loose in order to achieve that.

      Hey... youre welcome! One way is to intentially wiggle your arm like a noodle before a swing to remind you. Another way is to make sure you are thinking about just moving your hand through space instead of trying to hit the ball... Imagine moving as fast and loose as possible and the ball just kinda gets in the way... that's helped me.....

    I love how you recorded this video! Great work. Does the 21 day program address muscle queues, and/or how each motion feels? I have several queues (by feel) learned from IK's videos but have noticed that I start getting odd pains which I believe is in the posterior deltoid but only when the speed of the swing is high over many reps. Maybe this has come up with some of your athletes?

      you'll love this answer.... "it depends" haha.. Without seeing your mechanics, it's hard to guess. I do know that I've got a good number of athletes on that program that were pretty shocked when they started being able to swing harder, with less effort and less pain.. however, with any new motor pattern, be careful not to go through the ringer with a multitude of reps... even if its a better pattern, it will still be new for your body which means, you'll be sore and tight in places you haven't been... and your body will give you resistance to the new pathways.... that's why we have specific reps and sets in the program.....       @@betteratbeachvolleyball I think this video convinced me. I would love to start as soon as possible with the program but now I can't afford it and it's tournament season here where I am, so not the best time for big technical fixes.
      I think I will try to start in next Pre-season. Btw, do you plan coming one day to Europe for Beach camps?
      I'm sure a lot of players would be interested.
