How do you Propagate Mondo Grass and Liriopes?

How do you propagate grasses and clumping plants like Mondo Grass (Monkey Grass) and Liriopes?
In this video I will explain how to propagate grasses and clumping plants like Mondo Grass (Monkey Grass) and Liriopes. You will only require a cutting source and something to prune the tops of the cuttings such as scissors, snips or secateurs. You will not need potting media if you have a suitable site to sow your cuttings.
Can I sow my cuttings directly into the ground?
In this video it also shows that in the right conditions, and with a little more care, grasses can easily be directly sown instead of potting on. In ideal conditions the success rate is quite high.
Should Mondo Grass and Liriopes be used as a garden border?
They will do a fantastic job of stopping roots and runners entering your garden but will need to be kept in check as they spread faster. Digging up and dividing again will be useful or just dig them up to tidy up.
