I would like to see more supernatural infants. I really like the infant life stage, I’m a family player and it really fleshes out the gameplay. I’ll admit that they are much more complex with the growing together pack but I was still having a good time with them in the base game update. Although, screw EA for locking changing tables behind the growing together pack

i got a weird glitch where i raised a sim for the update and that baby had an older sibling who helped take care of him. now that the baby is a young adult, sometimes that older sibling will try to bottle feed their younger sibling, but nothing actually happens other than them looking at eachother.
When the infants dropped I literally had no idea what to do. As someone who mainly cheats needs and stuff in their game, seeing the buffs that they need naps and stuff with full sleep made me not touch the game since, I was so confused. so ty ty ty for an informative vid aaaaaaaeugh

12:28 I love how this moodlet references the Erik Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development. Stage 1 is Trust vs. Mistrust. If an infant’s needs aren’t met, then they won’t develop that basic trust that they need.
I can't seem to keep this infant happy. He rarely sleeps and when he finally falls asleep his hunger-need plumps in the red zone and he ways up again because of that and this whole thing seems to run on a loop. I'm aiming for that Top-Notch Infant trait, but this isn't working this way.

@@orbitalpudding1946 From the base game toddler clothes. There are plenty of items in Toddler Stuff and some in other packs that I wish infants could wear.
As much as I love the bigness and detail of this update (handing babies to other sims!!!), something is really rubbing me wrong that we now have half of the life stages that're dedicated to being 10 or younger, and two life states with temporary traits. Then there's teen, young adult, adult, elder. I know the length of the lifestates might be short, but it feels like an odd workaround and just adds... an extra stage before toddlers. I like the realism of the toddlers, but the realism of the toddlers mixed with cartoonish world of TS4 feels a little out of place. I appreciate the sims team for what they've accomplished here, but this lifestate adding more than the parenthood pack (yet not adding too many interactions between packs aside from your animals), and locking some key features for caring for their kids behind yet another pack is really rubbing me the wrong way. I almost wish the infants were part of another pack; they're so buggy, and feels like sims 2 toddlers met sims 4 toddlers. I want to be nice, because this looks like a lot of work was put in to this. They're super detailed and expressive. I feel like if some of these features were divvied up between current newborns and toddlers this'd go down better for me. Thank you for reading this long, and I apologize if this seems really rude. Please note I havent actually played with infants yet, I uninstalled the sims 4 a month or so after the werewolf release. It just didn't have enough for me, even with the newest features. Even taking things slow, TS4 was feeling really underwhelming at the time, so I jumped back to TS3. Thanks for reading again.
Not so fresh to somebody who played Sims 2 and Sims 3. I feel like toddlers in Sims 4 are at a completely different age level than the other games since they can already walk and stuff, and they are only now filling in the life stage people actually meant when they said 'we want toddlers.' Walk, talk and potty train skills made the old ones represent both infants and toddlers. I feel like the detailled milestones like grab are more suited to babies/newborns.
