Since Sims in the Sims 1 can theoretically live forever and do not age meaning they are forced to go to work/school for all eternity, they definitely need a vacation
Sims 1's locations were adorable, Sims 2's swimmable ocean was exciting, and Sims 4's worlds are just beautiful. But NOBODY does it like my girliepop Sims 3
What a trip down memory lane! I really didn't recall much of Sims 2, but I loved vacationing in Sims 3. I spent so much time in France, lol. I wanted to be a nectar master! There was so much more depth and complexity than in Sims 4.
Yeah. As much as I love the tropical music from The Sims 2, The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, The Sims 1 had some really great tropical music. 😊 I'll be honest though. I'm a little biased about tropical music, so if a musical score even has a tropical kick to it, whether it has steel drums or a ukulele, I'll instantly fall in love with it. ❤🌊🏝️🏖️🌅❤
I still think Sims 1 is the best part, look how realistic it looks. You arrive at some old hotel, some pervert and an animator who is bored is constantly walking around you. The hotel constantly holds some kind of competitions and people can even fight over it. I give it 10 stars.

It’s not their damn fault. They had a different idea for the game but the newer Sim City game scared them when it fell so hard so they cancelled their original plan and barely had time to scrape up a new game! Y’all are so spoiled to pieces. Maybe you don’t deserve ANY of the games.
2014 was a ROUGH year: no pools, no toddlers, no ghosts, no basements, no moveobjects cheat, no family trees, etc. But TS4 actually ran better back then. Now it's a bug fest and it runs really bad, especially when you switch to build mode.
Although I can only rank TS1-TS3, because I do not have any of the packs that offer beach vacations for TS4 (nor do I wish to own them), from what you show, TS4 merely offers bits from its predecessors. Since this is just the beach vacation experience, all 3 have standouts from one another. TS1 does offer activities that are later cut (i.e. the creepy mascots, beach volleyball, etc.). However, TS2 added the extra bit of adventure, with far greater vacation rewards. While TS4 did add in "Fire Dancing," I still prefer TS2's style, along with the hula dance, and island gestures. Now, TS3 began with beaches in the basegame, and like TS4, there was also a patch allowing Sims to vacation in any worlds. While I do find TS3's additions (snorkeling, scuba diving, boating, jet skiing, etc.) fun, the fact that resorts are only accessible in homeworlds is disappointing. Meanwhile TS2's resorts can be created in any hood, accessed while going to a different destination, or within the homeworld. Of course, TS3 does allow for Resort ownership, but this can also be done in a round about way in TS2, if you also own OFB. I think, because TS3:IP is so broken, and need mods and a clean template to fix, many people are put off, but when it adds even more than its predecessors with new content, it deserves the win for overall extra content. However, I still do love the diversities of TS1:V and TS2:BV❣
@@user-jc4lj3sv4z I know that mods will help it to run more efficiently. While technically, you cannot own the resort, you can own the business (with OFB), that you build the resort within. You won't profit from the resort, but any business aspects within. You can also place businesses inside Apartment buildings, although it is even trickier, and mods are needed for certain aspects to work (i.e. restaurants), plus I think you need TS2:U as well for some of the communal areas to work properly. To be fair, every TS2 EP added business elements that TS2:OFB can exploit, mostly without any modifications. With mods, I can think of no real limitations.

A Note about the Temple Fountain in The Sims 2, when a Sim angers the gods, and the Fountain's Water turns to Lava, the prankster will as mentioned in the video, of course experience a Large drop in bladder, which can cause them to pee themselves very soon after, conversely. if a Sim gives a offering to the Fountain while it is Pouring Lava, this can calm the gods, and turn the Lava back into Water
It’s absurd how little I still remember of Sims 2 😢 I can remember everything of Sims 1 and still playing Sims 3, but like I blocked Sims 2 while it was really amazing 😻
TS1 is more rich em details… Rent a picnic basket is so realistic and cute! TS2 came with a lot of evolution, being able to swim in the ocean, acquire vacation lots, challenges to complete, and it even had a functional and uniformed receptionist, as much as I love TS3, it loses, the details win me over! TS4 for me doesn't even enter the discussion
Do people realize that only The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 had true vacationing? The Sims 3 had adventures and quests... no real vacation... yes, you can go to different destinations, but the sole purpose of that expansion was to adventure, no real relaxation, no tours... no hotels!... no spas... no real camping as there weren't any campsites... Also, extending your visa to stay more than 3 days required you to do the quests, after unlocking everything in that destination, there really weren't any reasons to go back. However, if they had made Isla Paradiso a vacation sub-world instead of a main world then, that would have been something epic and real... The Sims 1 and 2 on the other hand had all the necessary amenities for a vacation of a life-time!
Vacations in WA was so unique. I loved that each location had a variety of tombs, and that you could even build your own! I loved the puzzle aspect of the EP, and is one of my favorites for sure. BV isn’t a favorite, but I love it as well! I love that you can check into different hotels/campgrounds/vacation homes, all with different amenities, and that you get cute little features like room service! I swear half the time they didn’t deliver the food to my room though.
The sitting down animation from the sims 1 with the picnic basket from 5:44 is better than anything the sims 4 has ever done, period. I'm not even going to mention the amazing things the sims 2 did. Sims 1 sitting down animation is superior to sims 4 altogether, and that's saying something.

I'm a sims 2 guy, Since last year I gave TS4 a chance. I've never played TS3 fully, and after watching this video it leaves me just sad... oh wow, TS4 is really bad man.
Also when your sim is manning the wheel of the pirate ship in Sims 2 other sims who are on the ship will salute them as if they're the captain. . . and they pick up greetings from the different vacation places. I think it's "Shaka bra" for Twikki Island and they will constantly do the gesture randomly when they're back home which I remember always used to annoy me 😂
Vacation in Sims 4 actually not so bad, worlds are beautiful. But like many things in sims 4, they lack details and enterteinment. Good for making your own stories though
At least sims 4 added back the intricate hand movements i couldnt help notice that sims 3 was a grown baby playing in the sand and then a sculpture magically appeared after flailing around lol. But if i had to choose which vacation id pick its sims 3 hands down. But sims 4 second. Sims 2 3rd place and sims one last.
