Your positivity really shines through in your videos and it’s so refreshing! It beats other UA-camrs who complain every time they have to use a voyager, HST, class 150s, etc.
I saw Kylie on Exmouth Beach in 1989 and now I’ve seen you there. My life is complete. 😍
THE Kylie?!
@@GLovesTrains Yep. Radio One Roadshow.
Carry on with doing the random station videos G. I have been to Devon especially Exeter and GWR should still get more trains to increase more extra capacity and to keep the trains they don’t want to get rid of at the moment.
Two new(ish) stations in one video!
Marsh Barton opened last year to serve the industrial estate and business park, and Cranbrook opened in 2015 to serve the new town that is being built as a planned community.
The geek in me now wants to work out for each county/region how many dead end stations there are, and how many stations could only ever be the first of your journey (because no station ends with their first letter)...
Go for it! Didn't realise Cranbrook was so new-ish tbh
It seems strange seeing name plates on HST sets. We used to have fun as kids, guessing which class of loco would be pulling the next train of wagons or carriages, and a bonus point if it was named.
As ever a fantastic random trip around Devon G, your ideas for Your Vblogs are second to none amazing everytime they just get better and better thanks for sharing them with us all cheers 👍🙂
Thanks Ian!
I cheered when Marsh Barton came up , that was definitely the station to see. By the way , can I echo what someone else said, your vlogs are soooo fun and positive. you actually love what you’re doing and we love watching them.
Thanks a lot! 😄
Great video, G! I went to uni in Exeter and lived right by St David’s station for a year so this has brought back good memories! The “flowing” water you saw at marsh Barton was probably the Exeter ship canal - the oldest canal in the country - built in the 1560s!
Yes it was that in hindsight, could not find what it was called when I was down there! 😂
Wasnt particularlyin my usual very good glass pretty full mood last night but as soon as I put on your vlog my mood lifted, wow these are wonderful, needs a bigger audience and maybe just maybe have them on prescription to cheer up the nation.Youre one hell of a presenter the camera like you, more please!!!
Thanks, I understand having ups and downs, I'm glad it made you feel better 👍
Glorious Devon in glorious sunshine ! 👍
I liked the way the random generator sent you from one end of Devon to the other, then almost all the way back [and then you would have to go all the way back again for your overnight stay in Plymouth]
Haha yeah literally 😂
It’s such a treat to see the sea! Fun adventures with G! 😎
Haha sure is!
I remember the day I went to all the Plymouth stations in one day. Was the hottest day of 2023. Probably one of my favourite Devon Ranger days. Ferry Road is my new favourite railway station in Devon.
Hi G did the heart of Wales line last week to Abertawe, what a great train trip.
great format G love devon, once got stuck on a train just outside dawlish for 5 or 6 hours on the way to penzance great view though but not the greatest start to a honeymoon lol
Certainly a memorable one!
I just love that brolly
My, my! Didn't you get some lovely weather for this jaunt around Devon?! Had similar weather on a trip out to Inverness today - Class 158 there and back. Saw a Network Rail test train parked there hauled by a pair of Class 43's, and that made my day! They're such a classic design.
The weather was great!
Always enjoy your random stations videos and alot of lovely views in this one. Ive only been on one hst and that was with crosscountry
The joys of all the single line working west of Salisbury means frequent delays on the line and nice to see you experienced what us regulars on the line have to put up with!
Great video, G! Enjoyed seeing you ride the many different types of trains with GWR and SWR!
Thanks it was great fun!
8:53 Even though it's an industrial estate but still, we yell it at the top of our voice so that they hear you back in Exmouth
Haha!
Nice little adventure in Devon but shame about missed connections. Great video G
Thanks Cyber 😄
Another excellent video ! you excel at these "challenge" days - your good humour and enthusiasm keep you going- thanks for cheering up everyone !
Aw thanks!
It’s a good job you got to Keyham before they discovered the unexploded WW2 bomb.
I'm planning and hoping to film and travel on all the branch lines in Devon and Cornwall.
I have already done the Bay Line in between St.Erth and St.Ives.
Cranbrook is my home station - the park is right by the station. If you miss the Marsh Barton train by less than 10 minutes at Newton Abbot, you will catch it at Exeter St Davids, as your train runs up the fast line
Very nice trip around Devon G somewhere ive not visited much nice to see your day wasn't completely ruined by the delays
Haha all part of the fun 😄
Great vlog G and some nice random stations visited. I would love to do a trip to Devon at some point and do a Devon Day Ranger. Only places I’ve visited in Devon about 10 years ago were Exeter and Exmouth. I enjoyed watching as always.
2 lovely places tho!
Cranbrook seems like a nice and quiet station!
Great video G!
Thanks!
Oh wow! Can’t believe you visited Keyham station just around the corner from where I’m based!
Cool!
Brilliant video i love Westwood ho near Bideford went there with my school on holiday some year's ago well done 👍👍✅✅
Thanks 👍👍
Thanks for the video G,dark knickers for a dark night. Loved to see all the different trains you we're on, can't beat a named Class 43 just love them.Beautful part of England to be in I could spend many days on the trains!!😎🚆🚆🚆🚆🇬🇧💙
Haha glad you enjoyed 😄
Exeters my home town. There's some great lines running all around the county. If you get the train from exeter to paignton, there's a steam train that runs from paignton to dartmouth.
Hey g! Just a quick suggestion 4 u, maybe you could put a map in snippets of your video to show where you are? Just might give ur viewers a bit more context as to where you are. Anyways keep up the good work! 😁👌
Thanks, me and maps have an on-off relationship 😛😂 ill try do some more tho 👍
Next spin could have been Newton Abbot!
im loving all the stations featured which all look lovely & Devon is a lovely county to visit & the SWR 159s are great & ive ridden those on the SWR Mainline & im loving the HST & i got to ride some GWR HSTs in South Wales last year & felt nostalgic for me to ride a few again as i used to have HSTs on the GWR Mainline before the IETs came along brilliant vlog
Amazing its a shame they don't run to SWales anymore
Always excites me when I see videos local to me 😅
Brilliant video G, looks like you've had a good adventure around Devon, especially getting to visit that new Marsh Barton station. Shame about the delays though.
Glad I got to visit Marsh Barton 😄
Yes!
Great watch. 👍. Thanks.
what a lovely video, i do love living in devon
Thanks 😄
@@GLovesTrains i am doing the aberdeen to Penzance 13 and a half hrs train in May
Great vlog @@glovestrains and you are the most brilliant and intelligent youtuber i like on UA-cam
Thanks!
I know some parts of the Devon and Cornwall rail network.
Great vlog as always and good that the weather was nice for you and glad you managed to have a ride on a 125 a number of the withdrawn units and coaches are being exported to Mexico & Africa From Great Yarmouth Docks
Thanks! I heard about that yesterday 😄
6:10 and perchance your last - they're not long for these rails
Should of told me you came to marsh Barton that’s my home station maybe I will bump into you another time great video by the way
These are always good fun, and you’ve been lucky with the weather G
Cheers!
Since jan I've been using the rail network alot. North West/yorks/mids. And I can see why you like trains. The rail network in the UK is really vast. And I've not encountered the cancellations, only 1 in 2 months.
Thats good going!
Amazing vlog!
Did you include my hometown of Exeter in your blog G?
Devon is a lovely county.
GWR seem a well run TOC 👍
Really enjoying your videos, G. Its great to see so many places and stations. Where did you get your brolly? The handle is perfect for the "where next?" spirit of your videos.
Thanks, it was from the Doctor Who experience 👍
A very good Tuesday evening to you all from Wellington Somerset
Nice video G
Great video as usual G! When Jen was at the Marsh Barton opening, she commented on the smell, how was it for you?
Honestly don't remember noticing any smell 😂
My favourite part of the country!
Check out Torquay station
Nice 👍
You should come up to Moray and the NE of scotland in summer. It doesn't get dark.
Doesn't... get.. dark!
@@GLovesTrains That's right.
Hi G, good game, hope you arrived back at your digs safely...
I did thanks
Welcome to Devon!
Keyham was a far better choice than Kings Nympton, there is absolutely nothing there, apart from a road and the halt.
I did wonder what Kings Nympton was like
Another G video - woop, woop!
Whoop whoop!
Damn would have been cool to see you at Keyham station!
Poor you. You come all the way to Devon. You get Cranbrook, a boring new town, Keyham the worst and roughest area in Devon, and an industrial estate.
Yet I loved every minute 😂
You thought Devon was far lol penzance is another 3 hours down south do a nighter there
Wait are you leaving Devon now to go back up all the way to Manchester, I feel for you 🤣
It seems I've spread the aura of a day out going melons up! 🤣
Great journey though!
Haha cheers Steggs!
There's lots of local stations in Plymouth also
Would you do the night riveria train and also travel to Plymouth and the different stops there is lots of local stops here
Another entertaining vlog
Bishy squoobies!
Bishy squoobies!
Whats that random generator app called and have you been to Cornwall or is it too far for you because your up north living in Manchester I'm looking to get to Cornwall for free from Edinburgh just hop on and of each train 😂
Great video G, BTW, when are you & Lucy going to do a steam railtour?
Thanks!
Can you go to Cambridge in east angler
I know you don't like the smell but you should go back to Grange-over-sands because it is graced by my spectacularity as I am currently residing their in my humble abode
Haha what did it smell of again? 😂
fish apparently @@GLovesTrains
How do you get the random station generator?
Geddon you in Plymouth and keyham where I live
I tried to walk to Devon from Leeds legs got tired never made it
Lol long way!
@@GLovesTrains I love walking to help save the environment and money I always walk where possible
Sadly the "new" Exmouth railway station is nothing like as impressive as the previous one
G, do you get a lot of people who recognise you while you're out and about filming, who come up and say hello?
When filming, at work, in tescos.. sometimes haha, always nice to say hello 👍
Hi G great video darling x
