No barriers other than I don't always make it a priority. I enjoy strength training and go to the gym 2-3 times per week. I'm getting close to 70 and want to stay in shape by building muscle and some cardio . I've seen some good results but also do not want to get huge.. For my 70th birthday I want to be able to do 70 perfect form push-ups without stopping. I'm about half way there but a have a shoulder that gives be a bit of trouble so, I slow down when I overdo it.
I recommend anyone that is serious about getting in shape to hire a REPUTABLE trainer. They can help do exercises the correct way without injuring the body.

Good information. I exercise almost every day for a short period. After that, I'll run three or four miles every other day. Thanks.

Really great advice all around. The vast majority of the exercise I did in the military was calisthenics, long distance running, and heavy weight lifting. A great diet though is absolutely key. Fad diets and supplements are garbage (I've tried a few 🤦). Bottom line for me was to put in the work and maintain discipline.
