I finally saw Dune part 2 today and wow! It's hard to understand truly how I feel about it after one viewing since there's so much happening. But as a fan of the book, I can say it is definitely an amazing adaptation and an epic film. The cinematography and the soundtrack combined really are the definition of EPIC.
The music itself reuses mostly all the themes from the first film and makes variants of them. Like this track that I decided to arrange first, which stands as the love theme for Paul and Chani, is basically a slowed down and more emotional version of the House Atreides theme from the first film.

These piano arrangements are making me so excited to see the movie!
The rest of the orchestra kicking in vibrates the ear cups on my headphones. Not in a tingy, low quality way, in a way that adds a new sensation to the music, that literally acts on another sense. It sends shivers down my spine every time.
Same it is sonething I have never experienced before 🤯😵💫
This makes me want to see the film again so bad.

Its a really hard piece to play on piano. Just because of my curiosity, the chorus that starts from 0:57 you start playing with your left base from E and then go to an D when that note sounds more closer to the soundtrack if you play a B instead of a base D ☺️ would have sounded better with a B as base note 😊 otherwise flawless 👌🏼
That’s interesting, yeah I didn’t hear it like that. It would have worked well for the beginning, in the quieter parts but I do think the energy and emotion of the full instrumentation is best translated with a D. It hits harder. I could have played a B for a few bars and then change it to D later to make more of an evolution
