This. This is what it sounds like when an instrument cries and I am crying with it. Hans Zimmer is a musical genius. I can't wait for his tour in September.
I think Hans Zimmer will go down as THEE best Film Score Producer of all time!!! Now, I know that's a mighty bold statement.. but him and his team (musicians and sound engineers alike) have built their own instruments to think 'out of the box' in the realm of what we perceive as "Classical" or "Cinematic" and I cannot wait to hear what he does next! If he doesn't win awards for this, then it's rigged!!!!
@@SamuraiSameer no way has John Williams written more stunning music than HZ. Classics, yes, but in truth it's just fairly standard classical pieces. Not innovative in any way, shape or form. I find Williams very overrated as a film composer.

I am so happy it was confirmed to be a duduk instrument! Duduk creates such beautifully sad but emotional tunes, like a mediterranean/middle eastern lament song. Instead of wailing vocals, the duduk does similar 🥲 Beautiful I remember that song Prelude by Yannis, it's very beautiful the duduk
Everyone is lauding Zimmer. And yes he is a gifted composer. But Zimmer is avidly collaborative and actively seeks out amazingly talented and creative musicians who bring real virtuosity to the work. This piece was very much a team effort. I know that because Zimmer has said so himself.
The instrument in the intro is electric upright bass, didn't know it, was here to find out, after reverse image search, I found it, the sound it makes is epic
saw Hans in Chicago. Before this song he talked about this instrument (dont remember the name), and said it was almost impossible for anyone to play. That it was able to be achieved this song with Pedro is unbelievable.

This. This song alone is why Hans Zimmer will forever be the king of movie soundtracks.
Imo he is the new king, he has taken the throne from John Williams.
Ludwig Göransson hot on his heels, though!

Indeed
Que sensación más hermosa ❤
Pedro is playing the duduk- what a mournful instrument but so ancient; tells tales without words. He played for Yanni once as well.
To have heard this live in London recently was incredible, goosebumps and tears...
Heard in Stockholm last night ,, same feelings . Cried like a baby 😊
I was in Berlin 20.10... it was awesome.

Hans Zimmer is definitely not the first composer to invent new instruments for his work.

I believe it is the same Duduk player as in the Yanni Prelude clip.
He has aged a bit & no bears here
Hans Zimmer's talent is completely unmatched, truly one of the musical legends of our age like Bach or Beethoven

Another master performance from Pedro Eustache playing his Duduk. From likes of Yanni to Hans Zimmer, never fails to impress. Bravo!
