It's still a decent mill card and a decent shuffle back into deck card. I've used it before to be able to summon Construct twice in one duel with Shaddoll Fusion as well as discarding Garnet and returning it to the deck after milling to make my Brilliant Fusion live again (when Brilliant was at 3)

There was a dude in the GX anime whose main plan was using Slash Draw. He had some sort of connection with a card to make him always draw it or something like that.
In the last duel against Yugi, Atem already had the ability to shape his own fate/future; basically make him draw whatever he wanted, but not like the 'Shining Draw' used by ZeXal. Had he used Slash Draw, the first series of Yu-Gi-Oh! probably would have still been running until now, because Yugi wouldn't be able to beat Atem in that duel LOL...

Honestly Slash draw is a ridiculously good effect. Like so many decks love milling themselves zombie decks and lightsworn can use it, stacking decks, even if you fail to draw the second slash draw you still mill away a number of cards and return the cards you want to keep out of the grave, it doesn't really have a downside, and it is surprisingly easy to pull off the full effect.
I remember reading Slash Draw's effect when it first came out, I thought the second effect would never happen in any situation ever. Man, it feels good being wrong sometimes.

just thought about it while rewatching Smile Potion is way more usable than some might think, because there are quite a lot of monster with ? for there ATK those monsters have effects which calculate the ATK for them, and as long it is not an effect which generats a Base-ATK it would fit for Smile Potion Examples would be, Destiny lady(s), Gren Maju da Eiza and The Calculator
Slash Draw can also work in a different manner, just use it and try to get it's bad effect (eg: only use 1 copy). That lets you send cards to the graveyard and then recycle cards you want back into your deck! For example, you can send the top 5 cards if the opponent has 5 cards out, then choose to return all the spell/trap/garnet cards that were sent or already were in the graveyard back to the deck and even activate effects that trigger when a card is sent to the graveyard (and for those you can even return them back and their effect still goes off)! Overall it's a really nice card if you know how to use it well
Another situational card specifically for stardust dragon is converging wishes. Requires 5 synchro dragons in your grave to activate and is a trap, but is good for otk's. There is a deck out there though that makes it easier thx to burning abyss and zaborg the mega monarch.
Last Warrior! I loved that card when I played the Sacred Cards GBA vidya, even more when I learned what effect it had in the actual game. I need a Last Warrior turbo deck
That Necroface Fanart is so much creepier :P 2 things for RUM the 7th one: C104 is another great target since it pops a s/t, negates a monster effect, discards a card, and halves your opponent's lp. Number 71: Rebarian Shark can place it on top of your deck. Great list man! I'd like to see a new gimmick deck myself :D
Even at limited, Slash Draw can still be useful. At least you still get the psuedo-mill and a draw after. It also lets you recycle some useful cards that can't be used from the GY. Since it's limited, it's better to just ignore the damage part of the text. Just read it as "Discard from the top of your deck the same number of cards as your opponent controls, then draw 1 card and show it to the opponent. Shuffle the same number of cards discarded from this effect from your GY to your deck. You can only activate 1 'Slash Draw' per turn." Still need that last sentence in case you can reuse it, like with Dark Magician of Chaos.
I actually run waking The dragon in most of my decks because its really fun and most People dont expect a graveyard trap summon effect. Opponent: (destroyes trap/spell) Waking The dragon: *say hello to my little friend!* (pulls out Red Eyes Dark Dragoon)
A nice backup plan with Rank Up Magic The Seventh One is to also keep Number 99: Utopic Dragon in your Extra Deck. That way, if you draw Seventh One by effect, it's not completely useless. You just need to get Utopia out (2 Level 4s, not that hard), and then you can discard Seventh One to bring out Utopic Dragon.
Rebarian Shark sees some play in Extra mill Decks like Zaborg and Dark Cybers due to you being able to basically add The seventh one to the top of the deck, making it much less situational.
You can chain smile potion after using Forbidden Chalice, giving your opponent 400 atk is a small price to pay to draw 2 and negate your opponent’s monster’s effect
Slash draw could be used to set up your graveyard think about you if you have 15 cards in your graveyard then send 15 cards to the graveyard then don’t win the positive effect then put back cards that are useless in the graveyard then keep the good ones in allowing you to set up your graveyard.
I don't even play anymore for years but I watch all your vids, you got everything on point from visualisation and explanation And it's all in depth just like the first video and all other video it watched so far. If I can I'll Sub again but most i can do is give you my view and like for now. Face reveal someday lol your voice is good idk why it keeps me listening no homo
The way Tualatin (#8) is worded on the actual card, it sounds like the lockdown on summoning effect is permanent as I didn’t see a “When this card is on the field” effect. Don’t know enough YGO rules that well, so I might be wrong.
My friend would do this nasty combo with inferno tempest and dd dynamite. Back in the day we liked having 60 card decks so it would be an instakill strat. Could still be useful in today's metagame as well
Kinda surprised that Smile Potion wasn't used in Arc-V. It has Smile in it's name, the entire cast should start heavy breathing when looking at that card
Can't you use that cards to put important cards back in your deck that you need? i mean the card texts states " If not, return cards from the GY to the deck equal to the number of card sent to GY" essentially allowing you to put whatever the hell you want back in so its still a plus for 1 of cards that you can reuse again Like super poly, Raigeki, etc
i think blue eyes shining dragon should be on here for its summoning requirements its already hard enough to try and get blue eyes ultimate dragon out with no protection and it has to be in your hand to summon it
I love me some Waking The Dragon. I even play it in Artifacts as Dingrisu bait (cause Dingrisu sends, it bypasses the Artifact effects, but not Waking The Dragon's effect)
Chain Hole doesn't feel that situational to me nowadays because of Ash Blossom and friends, which are played in basically every deck, though you probably won't get to banish a random card from the opponent's hand.
1:50 lul im playing a whole deck around that card :D Gren maju, soul absorption, kaijus, grinder golem, necroface, pot of extravagance, pot of desires, d.d dynamite.. I love having 10000 attack, 30000 life points and a trap card that does over 8000 burn while having a few ,,pot of greeds" but even better.
You can use smile potion if smile world is activared, or the performapal card that makes all monsters on the field on the gain 1000 atk while in the pendulum scale.
The only thing that would be more stupid than limiting Slash Draw would be limiting Jackpot 7. Also, which generally can't be used in every *dual* in the description. Oopsie.
Just in case no one else did, I just wanted to point out for Rank Up Magic The Seventh One, you can use Tethys Goddess of Light to help find it. Whenever you draw a card and its a light monster, you can show the card to your opponent and draw another card, this isnt once per turn. As long as you draw monsters, you can draw functionally infinitely. Using my Herald deck, I've drawn through 4-5 cards on multiple occasions, helped by the fact that the deck searches out spell cards I have very easily and ends with my deck being mostly monsters. All of this is during the draw phase, so if you could cheat out Tethys easier(since its level 5), you could make getting it pretty consistent
Goddess of Sweet Revenge sound like my card. Like, I always seemed to end up in a situation where me and my opponent have empty hands hoping to draw a decisive card that breaks an empty field stalemate. ...Though since I had a strange tendency to win in those situations as is, Goddess of Revenge would essentially just be overkill - but still absolutely fits my play style!
you can still run slash draw in a cardian deck to add willow and zebra grass back. sure you dont get the crazy destruction but its an easy way to thin the deck and make your cardian effects a whole lot more reliable.
So...funny thing about Inferno Tempest: About 3 months before this writing, the manga "Monster Musume" actually had a chapter where the main character played a Copyright/Trademark free version Yu-Gi-Oh. The protagonist summoned knock-off Ash Blossom, attacked a monster, and just when everyone (including some CEO guy that was there) thought he basically just lost, he activated knock-off Inferno Tempest. Since the person he was dueling against had a deck that consisted solely of Monster Cards, he won.
Idk if this is the reason it got semi, but if you read Slash Draw all the way to the end you can notice it's second effect is basically a pot of avarice which is a great effect and it's actually consistent
I'd consider "Ferret firestorm" as a great situational card. It is basically drowning mirror force, only it can be activated anytime as a spell speed 2 effect. It's gimmick is depending on your lifepoints, your opponent sends in thr deck monsters whose attack together are more than your life point. Why i say it's situational, is that if you have very low lp ( 1000 or lower ) and all the opponent monsters have over 1000 attack each, you can bounce in the deck all those monsters without targeting them.
Grinder was easier because you could summon it for free while your opponent has no monsters, but Lava Golem requires two tributes, but that’s not the worst way in the world to use it. Lava Golem does have a negative effect on your opponent, but it could just be used for Link Fodder.
Its also one of the best ways to get rid of your opponents monsters because there are very few thing your opponent can do to stop their monsters from dieing
Angela Gonzalez that is true, but Lava Golem does have 3000 Attack, so that’s why it’s often an afterthought past Kaijus. Sacrificing an opponent’s monster is one of the best forms of removal because most things can’t be unaffected by it. This may be true for Lava Golem as well, but the reason Gameciel sees so much play is because it has 2200 Attack, 800 less than Lava Golem, and Lava Golem is given to the opponent. Not saying it’s bad, it’s actually a very good card, but there are better options. But by Inferno Tempest, you’d usually want something like Grinder Golem instead because you’d want to not have to rely on your opponent setting things up. Not saying that you’re wrong, Lava Golem would work for this, but Grinder is just better.
with slash draw there is a card that lets you look at the cards in your deck, pick 5, and let you put them at top of your deck in any order you choose... this means you can set up slash draw on purpose if your opponent is holding 4 cards or fewer.
Well the problem its slash draw its limited, so only 1 copy per deck can be played, but that doesn't mean it useless, the mill effect it still pretty good for some decks/cards that recive benefits playin with graveyard, so it can be played
*Tip against; Waking the Dragon* Look up a monster called "The suppression Pluto" You'll notice that his effect, if pulled off, allows you to destroy a S/T card. IF that card happens to be waking the dragon, have no fear, as it will not trigger because you can set it to your side of the field after pluto destroys it. Which cancels its requirements to trigger. He's a fairy simple monster to summon, especially with cards like "Sinister Yorishiro", and its easy to see your opponents hand if you play "Contract with Don Thousand, Ominous Fortune telling, Or Inspection" Plus many players just show their hand when using searcher cards so there's that insight too. Just fyi as there's no need to fear, Waking the dragon ;)
Smile potion would be really good in duel links, it’ll combo with generic field spells that opponents sometimes use, but also with forbidden chalice which is still pretty meta rn
inferno tempest is so very hard to pull off but it feels SO GOOD when you do also the pronunciation of tualatin killed me because thats my city name and ive never heard it pronounced that way
Not only do you have a wonderful channel, BUT your voice is so soothing, yet I can tell you’re a really handsome guy. Thanks for always providing amazing content ♥️♥️
actually, if you choose light with tualatin and then you summon barrier summon of the heavens, you tecnically win the duel because your opponent can't summon anymore
Relinquished its a good option, but i prefer meklord wisel, if one or more of you mosters get destroyed by a card effect it can be ss, it have 2500 atk & 2500 def, can steal a syncro monster to buff its atk to the sum of wisel and the syncro, it can negate 1 spell card per turn
Can you do a top 10 best combo, engine, and/or archetype that recover resources. Reason being that it seems the best decks in the meta currently not only create big turn one boards, but can seamlessly recover all of their resources after you somehow break their boards
Starlight road was amazing back in the day, when everyone would rock like malevolant catastrophe and lightning vortex. red archfeind dragon and stardust dragon are still some of my favourite synchros to mess with, and back when dragon rulers were at 3 with resonators and beelze omg just ruin peoples days
although slash draw, that could be fun in a Speed Duel with a monster that can rearrange cards on the right time like Big Eye (which with no Main Phase 2 makes it almost certain you opponent won't control the number of cards he/she controls that easily, also the other funny way to use the other effect of slash draw is graveyard manipulation. if you dont like some of your cards in the grave, have it drop some cards from the deck into the grave and then put some cards you dont like there back into your deck.
>Slash Draw requires two copies to work
>Slash Draw is limited

Shuffle the same number of cards discarded from this effect from your GY to your deck. You can only activate 1 'Slash Draw' per turn." Still need that last sentence in case you can reuse it, like with Dark Magician of Chaos.
This is incorrrct. You can use SMILE WORLD FROM ARCV - it boosts attack of all monsters on all the field.
I actually run waking The dragon in most of my decks because its really fun and most People dont expect a graveyard trap summon effect.
Opponent: (destroyes trap/spell)
Waking The dragon: *say hello to my little friend!* (pulls out Red Eyes Dark Dragoon)
I LOVE inferno tempest. Ive used it in my banish deck for years, it's devastating with gren maju
Slash draw got limited, even though it needs another copy of itself to actually work. lol
@@estebanmora6263 So basically you have to redraw it again to use it's effect?
For number 9, you could also give you opponent Lava Golem
in attack position to trigger Inferno Tempest as well
6:07 it also prevents the opponent from activating anything for that turn !
i think blue eyes shining dragon should be on here for its summoning requirements
its already hard enough to try and get blue eyes ultimate dragon out with no protection and it has to be in your hand to summon it
I love me some Waking The Dragon.
1:50 lul im playing a whole deck around that card :D
Gren maju, soul absorption, kaijus, grinder golem, necroface, pot of extravagance, pot of desires, d.d dynamite..
I love having 10000 attack, 30000 life points and a trap card that does over 8000 burn while having a few ,,pot of greeds" but even better.
For "smile potion" you forgot the "gingerbread house" effect you could combo with that card.
Tualatin could affect Decks like the D/D/D Deck as they are DARK Attribute monsters. That also goes for Destiny Heroes.
Oopsie.
i use stradust road once. dude, thats card really help you to comeback.
I *LOVE* Slash draw in Lightsworn
slash draw on a destiny hero with the new fusion was hilarious, beatiful , impresibe no more words to describe it
So...funny thing about Inferno Tempest: About 3 months before this writing, the manga "Monster Musume" actually had a chapter where the main character played a Copyright/Trademark free version Yu-Gi-Oh.
Bro, slow down with all this content. I can't keep up.
Card of the Soul was also played in Kozmo for Dark Planet turbo, would have been a better example than Obelisk IMO.
Stardust is like a permanent counter trap it was great back when I use to play.starlight road was in my main to.
you could also give them a lava golem for inferno tempest to work
Grinder was easier because you could summon it for free while your opponent has no monsters, but Lava Golem requires two tributes, but that’s not the worst way in the world to use it.
@@M3G4T3RR4 except in duel links
I appreciate your videos Hiru
You just revealed his secret so casually :D
with slash draw there is a card that lets you look at the cards in your deck, pick 5, and let you put them at top of your deck in any order you choose... this means you can set up slash draw on purpose if your opponent is holding 4 cards or fewer.
Well the problem its slash draw its limited, so only 1 copy per deck can be played, but that doesn't mean it useless, the mill effect it still pretty good for some decks/cards that recive benefits playin with graveyard, so it can be played
*Tip against; Waking the Dragon*
Look up a monster called "The suppression Pluto"
You'll notice that his effect, if pulled off, allows you to destroy a S/T card.
Aww man, I loved inferno tempest as a kid. Resolving it was such a huge laugh.
Smile potion would be really good in duel links, it’ll combo with generic field spells that opponents sometimes use, but also with forbidden chalice which is still pretty meta rn
inferno tempest is so very hard to pull off but it feels SO GOOD when you do also the pronunciation of tualatin killed me because thats my city name and ive never heard it pronounced that way
#honorable mention: Witches strike
Reason: broken af pretty much wins you the duel
shouldn't this card get banned lol
@@ZeroTwoOne021 Its not good, never seen tourney usage and flopped on release.
Not only do you have a wonderful channel, BUT your voice is so soothing, yet I can tell you’re a really handsome guy. Thanks for always providing amazing content ♥️♥️
im pretty sure he is a average neclbeard like the most of us, but we love him all the same
When did he make a face reveal ?
DuelLogs daddy uwu
Smile potion can be use with Forbidden Chalice and make it less situational right?
That's just a plus zero at that point
actually, if you choose light with tualatin and then you summon barrier summon of the heavens, you tecnically win the duel because your opponent can't summon anymore
@theduellogs you can massivemorph a monster to double its attack but it cant attack directly, then play smile potion after that in like a stall deck
My dude how do you get out so much quality content so fast, hella impressed!
Best level 1 monsters?
Winged kuriboh
Meklord emperors will win by a mile lmao
Relinquished
Relinquished its a good option, but i prefer meklord wisel, if one or more of you mosters get destroyed by a card effect it can be ss, it have 2500 atk & 2500 def, can steal a syncro monster to buff its atk to the sum of wisel and the syncro, it can negate 1 spell card per turn
Effect Vieler
Glow-up Bulb
Droll & Lock Bird
Battle Fader
