He always gave me and my twin brother $5-$10 to go to the store. We felt like we won the lottery. When I got older and asked him about the lifestyle. I was dead serious about becoming a king. "He told me why you wanna be a king? Your father got a business. Your mom makes you dinner everyday. This is not for you" at the time I felt like he was calling me soft but what he was doing was showing me I had a better option. Call him what you will but he didn't eat his young.

I went through something very similar although I was already a king out of Yonkers ny I ran upstate in Poughkeepsie for a while ran into the kings up there and they wouldn't accept me cuz the first crown said almost the same thing tone told you my family was known in Yonkers we had a bodega (still do) the Lox even mentioned my family store in the song all about the Benjamins but EVERYONE knew my family so the first crown said this wasn't for me closed the doors to me I turned around ended up turning blood anyway and went to jail and prison for the next 13 years...they tried to guide me away from it and I sought it out elsewhere

In spite of Vlad? Vlads a scumbag whom I can't stand...but this was one of his better efforts... King Tone talked a whole lot of bullshit... literal nonsense that doesn't make grammatical or logical sense... talked in circles when asked simple questions... tries to make himself seem magnamous for what he did, yet comes up with every excuses in the boom as to why he's a victim... fuck out of here

When I first got here my first job on the island was in a Call Center and I worked with Latin Kings Deported from the States. Dominicans. Bugged me out. My dog Sal. King Kong. That's my man. We talked about King Tone and that situation. This is so real. This interview is nostalgic in a way cuz I remember when Tone went to jail and now he home on VladTV. It makes the changing of the times so real. Big up to Vlad 💯

@@MusicMuncher Yeah I remember the movement, but I believe that people can change. I've done a lot myself not up to his caliber but it doesn't change the fact that stuff has happened in my. If he is living up to his preaching then I'm all for it. I do know what you mean though.

"You Know I'm From New Yawk Right!?" 🤣🤣🤣 Classic, like yo why the fuck you keep asking me about Chicago shit son!! Love how Tone keeps correcting Vlad everytime he asks a question with a negative tone. Like "yo that's how you see it, but shit's like this because of this and that and nobody's talking about it!" Good interview though. I remember watching that documentary on HBO back in the day as well. Respect 👑!!!💯

VLAD: Most leaders had nice homes or apartments. But you lived in a dingy apartment with your wife and kids.
    KING TONE: 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

Vlad, there are many reasons why this is your best and most powerful interview. 1) It's a story of redemption. King Tone didn't make any excuses for his choices. He paid his debt to society, isn't glorifying his path in life in anyway, and he's trying to prevent more "King Tones" from emerging. 2) You didn't interrupt him with questions about useless gossip and trivia (mostly cuz he wouldn't allow you haha) 3) His explanation for why he's mad at Tekashi 69 is the most reasonable of any of your guests.
If you did more interviews like this you would graduate from being a "culture vulture" and move away the sensationalism and tabloid path that you're currently on.
