- I took out the tow bar and flipped it around, so that instead of towing it I could use as a sidecar. i added the swivel caster wheel to help not jerk the ike tothe right when the dog's jumped in or effected the steering when they jump out. i wanted a trailer for them to use when they get tired, and not be in there the whole time. so far this has worked out great! i have a 36lbs terrier and a 25lbs rat terrier and they like it much better than beore. i put them in it separately and each one while being towed howled and barked and screamed for their lives. lol i stopped after 200 feet with both 😆 🤣 now hopefully we can get some good use out of it.
This is exactly what I plan to do! Ty for posting this video. It helps alot!
I did it to help out dog's and their owner's enjoy these pet trailers more. Most dog's are going to hate it as a pull behind trailer. They want to be in front of you, or at least beside you... my dog still leans forward to be ahead of me. Lol
Genius! I had the same issues with my dog. We need to get this set up on our bike.
Thanks and it should work on most dog trailers.
this is beyond awesome! im trying to do a set up like this! thank you for making this video!
Yes no problem and thanks for watching. I put this online so that it would help dog's and dog owner's. They hate being pulled behind you and most dog's don't like being in them as trailers. So I settled on beside me and made a sidecar. Lol he still will lean forward so that he's just a little further ahead then me. 😆 🤣
this is great! I need something to take my dog down to the park for a walk. I have a genuine buddy scooter and I go about 20-25 mph
Thanks. This pet trailer turned in to a sidecar is best cruising at 8 to 10mph. If it's back on just the back 2 wheels then it can do 20mph or more, but not very safe at that point with a 30lbs dog inside it. It does fit perfectly onto sidewalks, and is so nice to have to take him to the dog park or anywhere in town. There is a video I have on my page with a camera angle behind my dog and shows us riding it literally all over my town downtown.

What kind of metal wire did you use to attach the side car to the front fork? Thanks !
Not sure of the exact gauge, but half the thickness of a coat hanger probably. And wrapping it multiple time and then also Gorilla taped the quick connect to the fork also. I do plan on making a permanent maybe howe clamp style or something attachment in the future.
