The Airbus A380 Operator That Never Was: Russia’s Transaero
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- Russia’s Transaero airline was a huge carrier operating international and domestic services from its hub in Moscow. It had ambitious plans to begin A380 services domestically within Russia and internationally to New York. But, in 2015, the airline never showed up to take its A380 keys from Airbus, and the order became nothing more than a myth.

Greetings from Russia! We miss Transaero... It was a really great airline!
I'm shocked they collapsed..
5:28 lol how ironic that the future Air Force One’s aircraft was intended for a Russian airline 😂
Khoa Hoàng Ngọc Đăng How exactly is it ironic?
skyserf the whole cold war thing, and the US not wanting to have anything to do with Russia, duh 🙄
Khoa Hoàng Ngọc Đăng The Cold War was fought against the Soviet Union not Russia. The aircraft was intended to be _sold_ to Russia, it wasn’t made by Russia.
🤣
Used to fly with them four times. Very upset for their shutdown.
A lot of their 747s ended up in melbourne airport, they were there for a few years. I remember driving by the airport and seeing like 8-10 of them in transaero livery, some had engines removed but most seemed in tact. Still massive planes though
747-8 too!
What a great presentation !!! Thank you very much
I flew in the 747 it was probably my best trip with a 747 i am sad that transaero was bankrupt
It's your fault Adolf. You nazy shitter.
I think China Southern fly there A380s domesticly in China
Daniel Wallis yes Guangzhou - shanghai sector
@@satrio6451 what about Guangzhou to Beijing?
mostly the flew A380 to Melbourne
2:25 "calls the A380 the largest plane in thr world"
Me: What about the AN225?
And the stratolaunch if it counts
Largest passenger i think what he want to mention
Tbh the AN-225 is massively underrated .....
1:55 Best A380
Wow, these could have been the most uncomfortable flights in the world. I had the displeasure of flying China Southern on an A380 for 14:30 hours in economy. It was brutal. I had a cold and a bad back. Also, it didn't even have a USB charger!
my fav A38 is China Southern
Nice
China Southern is my fav airline
Big fan of their livery to be honest
It was too ambitious in my opinion
A380 does go domestic!
Same with the 747-8
Well the A380 was not popular in russia and africa pretty much so thought luck airbus.also rusisa to some where in russia that is not a russian plane will not be suscesfull
What's up with the title "the Operator That Never Was"? You stated yourself they did exist for 25+ years. So why the misleading click-bait title??
talk about an Air France rip off
