I really liked the story and the fact that it went back to the previous stories. I didn't mind the so-called "reused assets" in the slightest. I think it was done properly while keeping up with the Saints "over the top" playstyle.
I really like how they brought back the old Shaundi, I'm doing a play through of Saints Row 2 right now and so it's all fresh in the mind but I still got a little bit of nostalgia. Great fun Jesse! Keep up the awesome work! P.S. Crendor is hilarious!
this is just the greatest game ever...the matrix, crackdown, prototype, mass effect, streets of rage, metal gear solid, starfox, and loads more...then the gun references from bladerunner, star trek, star wars, Robocop, eraser, desperado, men in black...and probably loads more I forgot or didn't get...it's just glorious! :D
Jesse just a little tip, do Matt's side quests because one of the rewards will be a pimped mini map that will let you see more stuff on it (like the clusters and all the collectibles).
You'd be surprised by the amount of people that not only have never watched Spirited away, but also haven't even heard of it. Or the people that just call it "anime crap". Both of them get on my nerves on different levels.
About 50% through the main story. they still have to rescue everyone else. I think they're at the point where they have 3 main missions, each to rescue a crew member. they can pick the order. after that it's one main story mission at a time. there's still a ways to go.
Really glad that Volition did this mission the way they did - it was a good explanation of why Shaundi changed so much between SR2 & SR3. I know SR3's Shaundi pissed a lot of fans off... but this was a decent explanation of why. Finding her voice logs also helps clear things up as well. I also really hope that Jesse & Crendor do more side-missions... can get cool weapon & power upgrades doing them. Also - do the loyalty missions! Super-powered homies are super awesome!
I actually quite liked Shaundi's loyalty mission, with her reconciling with Past/Fun Shaundi and even starting to enjoy herself when they hold the super-sprint race! She regains a little of her SR2 character with it too
This Veteran Child battle is so much easier than the original. In SR2 he had crazy amounts of health and dual wielded SMGs. I remember dying a lot to that guy.

TRIVIA: The corporation you fight against in Saints Row 3 eventually becomes the corporation you fight against in Red Faction (The first one, not Guerrilla or Armageddon, although it's also mentioned there)
i just wish they would realize that areas do nothing for money gain they kinda do and don't its more whats hacked what activitys you have done and how well you did them and the little battle areas around the city
Jesse, are you going to start playing Shadow Warrior tomorrow? You said when you did the Fan Friday of the demo that'd you'd be playing the full game when it releases, and it releases tomorrow.

Now, for me, whenever I complete this quest, I automatically get Super Fun Shaundi and Super Shaundi, leaving me unable to play through the Loyalty mission. It keeps me from 100%ing the game and it pisses me off.

Just do all the activites and Targets Outside the quests. saves you lots of gate traveling and you can do them in your own pace.
