no its people that don't keep an eye on what they are doing.. I have been coming to this creek for flash floods for years.. its hard to tell in the video but the eddie at my feet was pretty mello at the time
yes.. drove out from where i live about 10 min away as soon as i notice it was raining the right spot to produce this type of flash. about a mile ahead it narrows to a canyon.. next video i would like to rappel into the canyon above the flash.. just waiting for the right storm when I have the time to chase it
Thought it was just gonna be the small trickle on the right hand side, then the wall of water descended from the left side, the pure volume and speed of it is terrifying, I understand why he was so far up the embankments

That was a healthy flash flood. Nice video!
takes about 4 hours maybe longer to reseed since the whole side of a mountian drains into this wash about ten mile from this location
