Horst , I love all of your Octomore reviews!!! extremely funny and witty!!! Absolute classics!!!
Love these reviews. His humor is so dry.
He is a German and that's explains a lot ;)
Hahaha, the way he pauses after pouring in some water ( 7:35) and then again pours in more water made me chuckle.

4:58 you should have used this for the little opening clip.
+ArtMorte Definitely!
Legendary stuff 😂
Horst your octomore reviews are hilarious. Thank you!!
Thank you for your willingness to try the Octomore. Thank you for your reference to Port Charlotte. I almost bought one of these. I purchased Laphroaig Quarter Cask instead. I will slowly work my way into the Octomore as I become more of a dragon eating ash as a pairing. LOL
I saw the Octomore 8.2 (or 8.1, don't remember) at the local liquor store in my area. The first thing it hit me was your Octomore reviews. I laughed so hard on it.
i just started drinking whisky and wondered what a peaty whisky was so i bought the Octomore 09.1 now my mouth feels like an ashtray even 24 hours after drinking it now i save it for my friends
Wowzers! I so want to be friends with you! ^^
That was very interesting to watch and listen. Still confused should I buy this bottle or not :-)
Octomore is amazing.
Absolutely!
again watering it down before trying it. why not try it both ways?
I clicked on this video JUST to hear Horst go “BWWWWOOOAAAARRGGG”
9:58 I cant help but laugh at that burpy frog sound as he cant even finish his sentence.
Send the remainder to me. I'll drink it.
hahaha youre awesome!
I'd like to try these smokey whiskies
So I'll know I'll really know what the smokey flavor is 😂
You tasted it TWICE? :-)
im totally disagree for saying ashtray its not good , in nose thats smell bbq smoke .try to sip and leave 5 second in your mouth b4 you drink .its has amazing taste
how many smoke ppm is Laphroaig 10yr?
+llamawizard ~45 I believe
and its too much for me, but I'm a speyside guy.
@@mikerowsdower9896 You can't really judge straight based off of PPM, laphroaig vs caol ila vs PC10 vs ardbeg are all completely different yet in a similar ppm range. The perceived level of smoke and type of smoke is completely different. From burnt rubber and iodine to campfire to smoked ham/leather. I love bunnahabhain and other nonpeated whiskies, but a whisky with a nice amount of peat blending into the flavour beautifully is wonderful. Its bad when they clash.
This review had me in stitches. Hahahaha!
ar 2:00 Horst reveal his real identity, He is Chewbacca, totally shaved.
Mate! You must look through the smoke and bask in the delicate fruity nuances that lie beneath. It's a challenge but well worth it!
Who does not love an old ashtray? 😆
the more peat the better.
Just eat Peat then!
I bet it tastes like Axe Body Spray.
+Luke William Ive had the 6.1 and I love it! Just because it contains a high PPM doesn't mean it's smokier then a whisky with less. In fact I find other Islay whiskys (Laphroaig, Ardbeg) just as smoky, if not more. In my experience the 6.1 really needs time to open up in the bottle, and I've heard the same with other Octomore's. Cracking a bottle and immediately reviewing it doesn't always produce the best result.
Hilarious
It’s difficult to watch a review in which the taster spends the whole time saying he doesn’t like the product!
That glass is pissing me off
Why?
Its like an old ashtray 😂😂😂😂 sold that well
Sound like a cow chewing grass 9:48 it’s nice if you mute that from the film
You must be new to his style 😂 that swishing is literally the trademark of his videos lol
🤭
I think if you hate this kind of whisky at the first place already, there isn't really much point u review it...
