    if my memory is not tricking me, I think you can drag the pattern to your daw than hit the track button so plugin reads the pattern from your daw and you can mess around with various articulations such as muted, dead notes etc by nudging the midi keys...

    that "cheap" sound you talk about is a whistle tone in the upper mids that you have to eliminate with eq. I deal with that all the time . If you move the capo 2 frets up it can sound a little bit less brittle also.

    You have a nice talent for making the guitars sound very real. Your demo is beautifully done. My problem as a guitar player, is not being a keyboard guy. Without the keyboard manipulation you have, some sounds might surely not replay as well. I do like it a lot though....nice work!!

    Thanks for your video. I don't know anything about guitar, but I quite liked your video, and I bought that RealGuitar.
    But, I would like you to show how it is programmed, how it is used, and how to put the pauses, or silences, so that it does not sound where I do not need that guitar.
    Also, how do you change rhythms? Thank you!!!

    men...I remember kontact 5 I think it was...had a nylon guitar that it sounded very realistic and it was free. For some reason it was eliminated from features free versions of Kontact. Haven't been able to get it again but that nylon was nasty.

    I’ve been trying the demo. As a logic plugin it’s too buggy for the price. If you close the control window while the key switches dialog is open it crashes Logic. Worse though, sometimes changing a single articulation disables every other articulation in the score - even though everything indicates they are active. Quitting and restarting
    Logic brings them all back. But that is unacceptable in an editing session. I spent a half hour carefully creating a linked articulation set for the plugin. So do note the bugs I am talking about occur when driving the instrument and setting articulations using Logic’s controls. It works a treat as a stand-alone, and recording a track into Logic from a keyboard. But that is just one half of getting a good track. Editing matters just as much. And my editing experience was awful. But kudos to MusicLab for releasing a fully functioning demo. I’m going to try again in a couple of months to see if they have fixed the bugs. If they do I will buy it.

    You always makes good reviews! I've bought some amplesound electric guitar and bass, but what would you recommend for acoustic guitars (for MIDI programming)? The amplesound's plugins seems better but the musiclab one is cheaper with more content.

    I have a music notation program that plays back a MIDI version of acoustic guitar. I do not need a program to turn a keyboard into a guitar sound ---- just something to make my music notation play back as a more realistic guitar. Will this software work for that?

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 роки тому +1

      SingleMalt77005 yes. You can set it up within your notation software. Although you wouldn’t be taking advantage of all its features, just its sounds.

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  5 років тому

      Where do you have the pick? Is it in the center, near the neck, or near the bridge? That affects the attack of the sound. Velocity is one part of it. Also, the volume of the pick.

      @@techbit7607 I've been fiddling with the Amplesound acoustic and upright basses... legit the best sounding VSTs I ever had. I have a couple of other Amplesound guitars but I haven't tried them out yet. MusicLab is still pretty good, but I do agree that RealGuitar sounds pretty plastic. You just have to mix it down some, MusicLab's sounds don't have premixes so you just hear the string samples and no amp or other preset effects. I got pissed off when I first bought RealStrat til I realized I need it to play it thru an amp (Guitar Rig by NI is ridiculous).
