- So I finally decided to get the Gorilla Tailgate lift assist and get it installed. I been putting this off for years and am now wishing I would have gotten it a lot sooner.
I show you How to Install the Gorilla Lift Tailgate Assist and how easy it is to install.
The lift makes it easy to raise and lower the tailgate on my trailer now. With no more strain on my back it makes my day a lot easier.
I want to thank you so very much for your video!! We watched it several times to get every detail!! Much appreciated!! Now my 75 yr. Young mom can open and close the gate with her fingertips!!

It's a sign that I came to this video, I am wearing almost the same wrist brace !! Quick tip when drilling with a large bit, small pilot hole will get you through that metal quicker and prevent the bit from dulling so fast.

I found this one on amazon for 179.00, I figured it was time to get a set. Seen them in the past for 300.00. knowing what I know now even at 300.00 it would have been worth every penny

It is worth it, I was going to buy them a few years ago (about 10 years ago) but they were 300.00 and I didn't want to spend that much. Let me tell you, even at 300.00 it would have been worth every penny.
I found them on Amazon for 179.00, so I grabbed them. You won't regret it, they are a back saver for sure.

Nice job. I just did mine this weekend and saw this video after the fact. Mine went just as good as yours did except my latch pipes didn't need to be cut. (just lucky of the placement). My gate is a double gate and built in heavy duty ramps and I can still lower and raise it with one finger(and that's with arthritis) LOL. The instructions were probably the best instructions I have ever seen. Good job and a wonderful video.
Thank you, The directions were pretty easy. Usually nothing goes together without a few swear words and throwing something. but this went pretty smooth.

It's amazing how smooth things go when you follow a good set of directions. I usually like going the hard route though haha! That gorilla lift is going to be really nice to have! Great job with the install! I think you're angled cut on the tailgate brackets should work out well too. As long as you don't put extremely heavy stuff leaning up against it you won't miss it.
It helped having my wife read the steps to me, lol. I am like the typical male, I don't even open the instructions, and Kris knows that, that is why she read them to me.
Or I would have been out there for hours trying to figure it out, lol.
They really are a back saver.

It already is Jack, I should have bought this years ago, but at 300.00 it was hard to swallow. So when I found it for 179.00 I had to get it. I honestly have to say, looking back after useing this for a couple weeks, It would have been worth the 300.00 and more.

Thank you, I cant believe the difference it makes. I dont even bend over any more. i kick it up with my foot and it raises to where I can grab it. And it goes down slowly with just a little nudge. Its great

I had it made, ant trailer shop or decent welder could make it for you. You can even find them on marketplace sometimes.

Note To You My Trailer Friend, When Drilling A Larger Hole, Like 1/2 Inch, Use A 1/4 Inch Drill Bit First, Then Use The 1/2 Inch, It Will Drill Much Better & Smoother...
