If this bypass is being effectively planned then they will build out this roadway in a way that provides for flexible expansion from four lanes to six (with the inclusion of potentially tolled HOV lanes) in order to accommodate the added traffic that will inundate this facility once the areas along and around the bypass urbanizes/densifies. Such a preemptive move will save the country $billions.....
I don't care what anyone says i can guarantee that years from now we will look back and say this man was the best prime Minister in the history of Jamaica

Now, its the JLP administration getting things done. Jamaican people are not foolish, they are not going to see blessings and don't know blessings. New roads are very welcome and i give the government their kudos for that. Still, i cannot rally around and cheer when the old existing road infrastructure in these same areas especially Hanover, St James, and Westmoreland are neglected and seemingly forgotten. Minister Bartlett is boasting about record tourism arrivals and the North Coast Highway to Negril is riddled with rim bending, life endangering potholes. Ñever mind what the inland main roads i drive on look like.. New highways take years to build but fixing a pothole or a sinkhole masquerading as a pothole should not.
When I see actual old Jamaican roads being fixed properly I will believe leadership is really good, until then I'm skeptical, these Newly Strategic Chinese ones does not count (in my opinion) these new roads are strategic to Chinese and foreigners which is ok, but would be so awesome to actually see old roads fixed properly with signs, proper lighting, curb and channels etc, you know the ones most of Jamaicans actually uses. Oh well, wishful thinking dwl, (Dat will neva happen,)
