What they need is to put a deep bore tunnel from the northern terminus to its southern end at Elice Eldemire Drive and stop using that winding road (the queens drive) and allow that street to be used for local traffic and not a combination of thru and local traffic. Montego Bay needs about 10 multi level Parking garages.

The prime minister made the same announcement for Ocho Rios, but i doubt Ocho Rios will get any attention. Montego Bay had about 15-20 new hotels since the new millennium, while Ocho Rios only had ONE; and it was built during the Portia Simpson Miller administration in 2005 (Riu), while the greater St Ann only had ONE also which was developed under the Portia Simpson Miller administration and open under Bruce Golding administration. So 2 overall for St Ann, while Montego Bay had Secrets/breathless 3, Iberostar 3, Riu 3, Hyatt 2, Jewel Grande 1, hard rock Unico Ritz Carlton 3 even those in Trelawny and Hanover which Marketed under Montego Bay. That road behind the airport use tone the main road in and out of Mobay years ago, however with the Sandals hotel owing a large portion of the proprieties and the expansion of the airport and the back wash from the engine of the airplanes, those properties are now designated for further expansion of the airport, that is the reason for the empty houses,

Thanks for your video but mi nuh over stand why it ah tek.dem.so Rass long to finish dis the first opening date was April 2024, which was well before di hurricane, so dont forward with dat excuse. Reservation dept ah seh dem ah open September 15th yuh ah seh December. Dat nuh look no where close to finish as the computerized pictures of the property and dem still ah tek reservations for ah unfinished project. Them rooms well expensive and dem just ah loose money. Dem need to Mi case and done on dat, mi want fi celebrate my birthday there. Mi love my culture, but dem ah drag dis out to long.

I think it was the Prime Minister who said "with roads come economic development" at the opening of the Williamsfield to May Pen leg of highway 2000. That is what's causing places like Ocho Rios to expand and grow the way it is now, like never before. And the same will be true for Montego Bay and the Perimeter Road. I don't if you've ever heard of Montego Bay South. Montego Bay South is basically an expansive long-term future expansion of Montego Bay proper, and is planned to feature commercial, residential, institutional and recreational spaces; to be done in 16 phases. And the start of it is Barnett Tech Park, which is described as a mini municipality in itself. And the Montego Bay Perimeter is said to aid greatly in the opening up of lands and to add to the development of Montego Bay South.

Shopping center brethren 😢😢. We need sustainable investment along those new route, industriale development such manufacturing of AI levels development, computer base industries, software companies and educational institutions etc. Shopping centers 😢😢😢 not only is that materialism but vain development.
