It's time to wind back the clocks even more. Here are her 4 Norway's Got Talent performances. Of these, be sure to use the links provided for NGT 1 and NGT 4 ("Summertime" and "Gloomy Sunday"). The NGT 1 video is of her performing "Gloomy Sunday" in the style of Billie Holiday. This video has English subtitles on the screen. It has pre- and post-performance content in which Angelina talks about herself (this is the earliest video we have access to that has Angelina speaking about herself). She's so tiny that she twice fails to get into the chair for her interview. I recommend playing this entire first video.
The final performance, NGT 4, has English closed captions that you will need to turn on at your end. This video has a lot more pre- and post-performance content, which are missing in all other UA-cam links for this performance. The NGT 4 video begins a lot like an AGT spotlight would, featuring the singer. While she now has 2 permanent teeth, side-by-side, she's still so small that her feet stick straight off the edge of the bench she sits upon. She talks about her experiences on the show and what she's about to show us. This is followed immediately by her singing "Summertime" in the style of Ella Fitzgerald's and Louis Armstrong's rendition. The third segment of NGT 4 contains the judges speaking to Angelina about the effect she has left each of them with. Many of their comments are quite prophetic, and they are called to mind again and again whenever I hear her sing. Two of these judges appear alongside Angelina in several UA-cam videos, weeks and months after she won.
The final segment of this NGT video contains the naming of the three highest scoring performer(s), and from there, the naming of the victor. This segment runs almost 5 more minutes. At a minimum, I recommend you play the first 3 segments. Then, if you want to see this littlest angel winning the 2014 competition, you would include the last segment.

Sir, a few weeks after her 11th birthday, Norah Jones asked her to come to Seoul for a emergency/charity concert, gathering money for vaccinations. She came and sang in front of 40,000+ enthusiastic people (there are videos). Can you imagine how it feels, to step out again on stage asking the audience "Would it be OK with you, if I sang another song???" 40,000 voices answered YES.

Angelina has occasionally had contact with singing teachers. But not so much to change her self-taught way of singing, but more to learn how to protect her amazing voice. Angelina, 4-5 yo, attended Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, She learned to play piano, guitar etc. She has also learned to arrange music etc. She started singing when she was very young! Since then, she has trained an incredible amount. I have heard that she practiced several hours a day, already at the age of 4-5.

Thats why my friend her best friend in the entire industry is the man himself Quincy Jones! Once he heard her he said the same thing you just did. She sung for his 85th Bday party when she was 12 it was an orchestrated version of Frank Sinatra's Fly Me to the Moon.

When Angelina was 12 she was invited by Quincy Jones to open his 85th birthday concert at the O2 Arena in London. She performed Q's arrangement of Fly Me To The Moon that he wrote for Frank Sinatra and Count Basie. Q said that Angelina is the best young talent since MJ. High praise from the expert.

She started singing at 1 and 1/2 years old in the crib and she won Norway's got talent at 7 years old. You need to check out her version of I who have nothing at the age of 6 years old. God bless.
I've watched your Angelina Jordan reactions to this point and I appreciate the thoughtful, perceptive way you listen, so I have just subscribed. Plus, your speaking voice is easy on the ears. Someone down below mentioned and gave the link to her 2022 drop via live concert in Norway of the Labrinth song, "Mt. Everest." And I would recommend that, also. You've mentioned Michael Jackson by way of comparison, and her cover of "Heal the World" sung in a live virtual concert for the King and Queen of Norway, among others. Great way to use her platform to speak for attending to the challenges of our time. If you like jazz, and are truly brave, then I would recommend you check out her jazz cover/arrangement of Billie Jean (yes, the almost untouchable song) done at age 13/14, I believe. BTW, Angelina honors and respects the artists she covers---does her homework, so to speak. I don't want to overwhelm you. Take good care of yourself. Until next time, Grandma Ellen, out.

I enjoyed your comments but you had the volume of her performance up too loud, causing some distortion. Keep an eye on the bar graphs and don't let them go into the red. Both she and Michael Jackson started very young. I think that that is the key. By 11 years old, she had been performing professionally for 4 years.
Another great reaction! Quickly scanning the comments I didn't see anyone recommending what is her iconic song to date and usually the most requested song by Angelina. With 10 million views "I Put A Spell On You" done originally in 1956 by Screamin' Jay Hawkins might be a good next step for you. Seeing the power and passion she has at just 9 years and 2 months old is so impressive. Plus she did the arrangement for the song, which resembles the original more than any other of many artists who've covered this song. Also, if you watched Screamin' Jay's version first (let's just call his performance unique!) you'd ask yourself how a 9 year old could cover the song. The song is a jazz classic. Interesting that you would compare her to Michael Jackson. Quincy Jones said the same thing about Angelina Jordan. He invited her to perform at his 85th birthday celebration at London's O2 Arena. It's on UA-cam. Check out her unique jazzy version of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. She slows things down. You hear and understand the words of the song for the first time in a whole new light. She did the same with Elvis's Suspicious Minds, the way the song was originally intended by the man who wrote it. Listen to her sing Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing. She posted a new studio version and sang it live in concert this summer in Norway. She blew away the AGT judges and audiences with her versions of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and Elton John's Yellow Brick Road. So much more to explore.

Yup Michael Jackson. Less my cup of tea but he was batshit crazy good for a kid too, does not reconcile with what seems possible. Same skillset wise as artistry. You can't actually be that good so quickly and unique unless it's coming from deep within you. So while MJ was kinda in a band and the business a lot more, clearly both had phenomenal people around them as musicians, but they obviously loved every second of it musically, and had their own 'ears' as you noted, remarkable ears. For Angelina, not just mature voice wise, we are talking about a thirty year veteran skillset it seems. I couldn't guess, but I assume it's a formative years are massive kind of thing, and once in a blue moon a kid has the ear, brain and love for real music super early somehow so it develops into greatness in no time.
