I moved to Prague 10 months ago, and seeing footage of places ive been completely unchanged in 60 years is insane. Even with the old trams some of this footage could have been taken yesterday.
@@Yoghurtmale8 the tourists are definitely why i dont go to Old Town Square or the Charles Bridge unless i have visitors, but the city is pretty big and there are a lot of beautiful historic places to go that dont have that level of tourist numbers. Would absolutely recommend visiting if only for a couple of days if you have the time.
Released Sept. 26th, 1968. Czech actress Olga Schoberová 4:35 "This is a pride shared by all young chicks". The footage was shot pre-invasion (Aug. 20-21), the narration was done post invasion. Kyiv the Sad City 2022? I really doubt it!

paráda,perfektní záběry-taky si ještě pamatuji na ty ploché kornoutky na zmzlinu,opékané klobásky na Václaváku/ne ty dnešní svinstva,co tam produkují Ukrajinci nebo kdo, bufet Koruna atd.
Long before Gorbachev, Imre Nagy of Hungary and Alexander Dubcek of the former Czechoslovakia were the first national leaders to introduce Perestroika in Eastern Europe. In both cases, the people were not trying to overthrow Communism. Most people still believed in that system. What they were seeking to do was overthrow Soviet-style Communism and not make their nations satellites of any superpower. But Soviet leaders were concerned that this would weaken their influence over the region which is why they suppressed both attempts at reform. But in the end, the reformers won.
Such typical Russian whataboutism. Do you actually use this defence in Russian courts? "It's OK if I beat my wife, because somewhere else in the world there is another man beating his wife".
This is actually quite fascinating. Very good quality film too, considering how old it is.

I would’ve loved to see the city at this time, before the tourist crowds

@@a.lander1532 Thank you! I'll visit there next time 👍
The sun does not shine much in Europe, so I feel that the weather there is gloomy, unlike when the sun rises and the sky becomes blue.
Olinka Berova was too beautiful!
Slavic women are beautiful 😍 🤩

2:13 talking about Czechia and calling Charles IV. Karl of Germany 🥲
He was the emperor of Germany. That's a fact.
Technically true, but still the title, father of the nation doesn't come undeserved

And today those nations are satellites of the European Union and Brussels and Washington, what is the difference...

Já jsem si nemohl představit jaký ten rok byl… Mojí babičku vyhnali rusáci z jejího domu
Ste si istý že išlo o "rusákov"?
Jste si jistý, že to nebyli Němci nebo komouši v padesátkách?
Sadder than Mỹ Lai massacre - where the American solders slaughetered unarmed Vietnamese civilians including kids??
why are you comparing the two?
