If you ever do this again I would advise you to frame out all your 1x2 first, then put your post in(uprights) then use u-channel as clips for your 2x2 for the chair rail. You started backwards really, but you did it so good job!
I wish every up and coming boys these days had to watch this vid and many more just like it. This is how a MAN shows a boy what it means to be a MAN. I have to be honest it made me tear up watching. Because in todays upside down we dont see this enough. So thank you for all the tips i gathered. And the warm n fuzzys. Great job Dad! Amen
I wish I have your skill to do this by myself because I don't have the budget to pay professional to do it...there is a LOT of mosquitoes here at sunset, and neighbors' chickens/ducks/geese always dump their shits all over my front porch...very annoying cleaning those shit everyday!!! 😬 Nice backyard you have there, so green and fresh! And you are so cool to play in the rain with your "sidekick" LOL. I often do that with my beloved nephew, too, if there weren't much thunders in the rain. 👍😂
Omg, it looks nice, i cant believe you didnt use a chop-saw to cut the metal. I do this everyday, custom building lanis. You may run into an issue not having your 2x2 on the door jamb running straight into the wall. Cheers!
Can u pls list the parts u used for this projects pls? What kinda post did u use for the aluminium framing pls? I have similar porch and I don't want any wood framing. Thk You!
I can't seem to find the parts. I stopped a Lowes not too long ago and they had some, but not all of the necessary parts to complete the job. They didn't even have the screen door I'd need.
martin H sorry for the late reply. I spent like $900 on that patio. Both front and back. And sometimes it depends on the store that you bought the materials.
I'm looking at doing my install but I have bricks on the lower portion of my front porch. It's not a flush surface so it's throwing me for a loop. Anyone have any ideas?
You can go etheir lowes or home depot and everything is in one section. I forgot what is it called. For beams i used 2x3 and the supporters on the side is 1x2. I used 3inches concrete screws.
You could frame the entrance to make it have a flat top with two pieces coming off at an angle, and use trim/paint after installing the net to hide the 1". Make it more geometric
Hi all. I was inspired by Mannix project and found a great system from Screen Tight .. you need a chop saw to cut the aluminum. Q. What door is that? I can't a find a similar door like that at local stores.. cost, store and mic number if you have please good sir.. Thks
He actually took more than one day I could do that and for hours he didn't even use a chalk line to get the chair rail even lot of overkill and this video I would do same job for $650 Tampa Florida Brandon call me
Thanks for the reply, I have been wanting to do this work myself. Your video was right to the point. The time you had with your child was fun to see; I have a older son now, and I was always teaching him too.

Nice job! I remember helping my Dad growing up and it was always my my favorite thing.
I like your work, but I really love the fact that you took time to play with your baby under the rain.

You should have slowed some parts down and explained what you were doing and parts used,,but excellent job.
Nice job but I'm very disappointed on where you didn't talk about your parts or didn't talk about anything so we really couldn't learn that much
Please list the materials you used for the frames, door, and screen. Great job. Thanks.

So totally 2 patios in only 900 u say ..?

how do you keep the water out of this lanai. What is the name of the type of screen that does not allow water to get in and you cant see thru it??
hey there, i live in orlando and i’m looking for someone to do this for my house. can you help?
Mannix, what type of screen AND what size spline did you use?
www.hdezhandrail.com/documents/ezscreenroom/brochure.pdf
T.J. Cummins i forgot the exact number of the spline.
But when you buy that thing you can ask the people who work in that place.
Anthony Carivea
I'm looking at doing my install but I have bricks on the lower portion of my front porch. It's not a flush surface so it's throwing me for a loop. Anyone have any ideas?
Eddie Williams can you frame over the brick and seal the open areas? 🤷🏽♀️
do I need to get approval from HOA for this ?
Probably not, but read your HOA bylaws. Each HOA is different.
I'm trying to do this same thing, but I can't find the pieces that you used. What are the beams and supports called at Lowes?
You can go etheir lowes or home depot and everything is in one section.
I forgot what is it called.
For beams i used 2x3 and the supporters on the side is 1x2.
I used 3inches concrete screws.
Do you have the list of items that you use or name of the product?
any idea how to bend the 1 inch piece to go around the top of a curved entryway?
You could frame the entrance to make it have a flat top with two pieces coming off at an angle, and use trim/paint after installing the net to hide the 1". Make it more geometric
they make a half by that will bend to any diameter
Seriously? There’s no mention of what system was used? EZScreen? Screen Tight? What is this?
Hi all. I was inspired by Mannix project and found a great system from Screen Tight .. you need a chop saw to cut the aluminum.
Q. What door is that? I can't a find a similar door like that at local stores.. cost, store and mic number if you have please good sir..
Thks
Joe campisi
I dont have the mic number anymore.
I bought everthing at lowes.

He actually took more than one day I could do that and for hours he didn't even use a chalk line to get the chair rail even lot of overkill and this video I would do same job for $650 Tampa Florida Brandon call me

Dennis Floyd i forgot what is the name of it but everything is in thesame section at homedepot.
Thanks for the reply, I have been wanting to do this work myself. Your video was right to the point. The time you had with your child was fun to see; I have a older son now, and I was always teaching him too.
