The Possession of Michael King is one that goes unnoticed. Deadstream is also really good, genuinely funny. And thank you for not including Lake Mungo. I seriously have no idea why people find that movie so scary. It's not, in my humble opinion. 😎Nice list!
I will probably have the most controversial movie in my top 5 and that's pretty much the reason i want to share the top 😂 1. Paranormal Activity (whole franchise as well) 2. Blair Witch (2016) 3. Unfriended (2014) 4. Dashcam (Absolutely feel no shame for loving it THAT much) 5. Incantation
Girl, the way I knew your top 2 since the beginning of the video says it all lol. Forever grateful for the Gonjiam recommendation, still one of my fav horror of all time!
Hell House LLC is the last movie that genuinely made me feel uneasy and scared and I haven't been able to grasp that feeling again with another movie and I've seen pretty much all found footage and horror movies out there is sad
The slowest of slow burns.. but it works as a whole - in fact, there are segments within that series that outdoes a lot of huge titles in terms of outright eerieness.
Hey Sarah. Just you know, there was a special Blair Witch Project release in the EU, which features A LOT of deleted scenes as a bonus. A fan has been working hard and has incorporated these cut scenes into the original movie. What we got is a 3 hour The Blair Witch Project film which is just amazing. I definitely think the original cut is still the best (sometimes less is more), but damn if it isn't fun. It's soo great seeing what was left on the cutting room floor and how much it adds to the characters. Definitely suggest a watch for a Blair Witch fan like yourself. :)
watched gonjiam for the first time on your rec a few weeks ago. it was the first horror film where i had to literally cover my face when That One Scene happened, the whole way through. a whole new level of scared, ty!
My top 5: 1. Rec 2. Paranormal activity 3. Grave encounters 2 4. Paranormal activity 2 5. As above so below After listening to your praises about Gonjiam, I will finally try to get it watched in the next few days. Thank you for the recommendation! Greetings from a Bulgarian fan! 🇧🇬
Another Bulgarian subscriber :))) Gonjiam was impossible to find in Europe. I bought my DVD from Amazon US. Now there is an awesome blu ray edition from Second Sight 😊
omg i’m so pumped for this! because of you i’ve come to really looove found footage and i’m always looking for more recommendations so i’m excited to watch!
One thing about Sarah, she's gonna be mentiong Gonjiam, Blair Witch and the Ring (not in this video, but you know what I mean haha) I truly love your recommendations and lately I've been reading a lotof the books you mention in the channel and I'm obsessed. Maybe we can get get another book related video soon?? 😄
Can't wait for more book content. Also, I watched The Borderlands for the first time (for some reason) after this video. It was the only thing on the list I hadn't seen. I'm just sad now. I was like, oh, it's a found footage with John Oliver vibes at first, lol. But no lol is going on now.
5. Butterfly Kisses -- I love the documentary-within-a-documentary style. 4. The Tunnel -- Honestly, I just wanted to list a movie that's not on your list. That said, I really do love this film. 3. Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum -- South Korea has made some damn amazing horror films, and this one happens to be found footage! 2. [REC] -- What is there left to say about this one? It's a must watch. 1. Hell House LLC -- That scene with the fucking clown in the hallway... Great jump scare, or greatest jump scare?
I love how much you love these movies. The first half of this video is just you feeling bad for ranking movies so low, it’s adorable 😂. I also love how high As Above, So Below is ranked. Such a great movie, for me it’s a quintessential “nothing groundbreaking, but a simple idea executed really well” kind of movie. And as a bonus, the lead character reminded me a lot of Lara Croft 😂.
Yes, please do a video of movies set in asylums or abandoned hospitals. One of my very favorites and definitely underrated and hardly ever discussed, Session 9. Which took place in the real Danvers Hospital.
Found footage is my favorite horror subgenre, so it’s awesome to see a great horror content creator like you give it some praise! My personal favorite is Host. Incredibly scary and it's amazing what they managed to create in the break of the pandemic.
I was thinking about it too cuz I thought it was gonna be at least top 15, but the closer you look at it, the story is kinda average. Nothing new or impactful tbh I think she was going off of story/impact and PT really didn't experiment much besides having Stockholm syndrome for the main girl being captured
After hearing you recommend Gonjiam haunted asylum about a thousand times, I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about literally just last night… and it did not disappoint😭. Tbh I’m one of those people who can’t really get into found footage horror. I’m not a horror snob or judgemental of people’s preferences by any means, but if the script and line delivery aren’t convincing to me, it’s hard for me to feel “scared”, even if the visuals are scary… and because the genre is so budget friendly, you’re more likely to experience not-so-great acting/writing compared to other sub-genres (not saying low budget films can’t be great). That being said, Gonjiam definitely got me. Once the second half popped off, I was genuinely creeped tf out and had to force myself not to be like🫣LOL. The film being foreign might’ve helped me out a little because frankly, if I’m not a native speaker of a films language, “bad” acting is far more likely to go right over my head😭. Either way, I’m definitely going to explore more foreign found footage now👍.
I mean the trilogy ( Noroi: the curse, Occult, and cult ) is good overall! I say trilogy because they seem connected ( and same producer/ director I think! ) They are all on youtube and sometimes on Tubi!
Thank you for talking about found footage so much. You have introduced me to the genre, and it is now one of my favorite sub genres! Thank you! Love Blair Witch Project, Willow Creek, Creep and Butterfly Kisses. Also I recommend "They're Watching".
My top 25 found footage movies. 1.Creep 2 2.Creep 3. Be My Cat 4. The Blair Witch Project 5. Capture Kill Release 6. Lake Mungo 7. We're All Going to the Worlds Fair 8 . Butterfly Kisses 9. WNUF Halloween Special 10. The McPherson Tape 11. America's Deadliest Home Video 12. The houses October Built 13. Unknown Visitor 14. The Blackwell Ghost 15. As Above So Below 16. The Collingswood Story 17. The Andy Baker Tape 18. VHS99 19. Ghostwatch 20. The Last Broadcast 21. Noroi 22. VHS 23. Milk & Serial 24. The Out the Halloween Mega Tape 25. Bad Ben 7: Haunted Highway
I have the same top two picks as this list but in reverse order. Part of the fun of Hell House LLC is watching how much the filmmakers were able to do with such a small budget.
@@fisheyenomiko It is a mockumentary, but the footage has also been found-well, found photographs. So, I'm counting it because there's no way to do "found photographs" without wrapping it in a mockumentary. Also, it's one of the best horror movies ever.
Idk who hires these people to rank movies it’s mind blowing to me how unqualified the people making these lists are working for these big companies. I always refer to UA-cam aka this channel for rankings. And these sites never have good recommendations either always mainstream ones I already know about. So grateful for ur channel!
A lot of people wrote this movie off but I've always enjoyed Apollo 18. It has such an isolating feeling, as it should given it takes place on the damn moon, lol.
I'm going to go with something a little different: My top five movies that weren't on your list. 1. Exhibit A: A devoted family man living in a pretty nice house is anticipating a big promotion and the purchase of a much nicer house. The family is anticipating moving from middle class to upper middle class. When the promotion doesn't come through as expected he slowly goes off the rails. I have a belief that good genre stories area always about something else in addition to what they're about on the surface. This is a movie about how some men define their entire identity around being a "good provider" and what happens when they believe that identity is threatened. 2. Be My Cat: A Film for Anne: A young eastern European man is convinced he needs to become a filmmaker. In an attempt to attract Anne Hathaway to star in his movie, he hires unknown local actresses to star in his audition film, which turns out to be, well, exactly what it appears to be. 3. Several episodes of Inside Number 9, most notably Cold Comfort and Mulberry Close. Cold Comfort takes place almost entirely on the computer screen of a counselor at a suicide prevention hotline. Mulberry Close consists entirely of footage from a motion-sensing security cam mounted on the front of the house of a couple that just moved into a neighborhood full of quirky characters. They're both 25 minute episodes of a TV show, so explaining anything else would risk spoilers. 4. Contracted: Warning: The inciting incident involves necrophilia and SA. Following a painful breakup with her girlfriend, a young woman is SA'd at a party and finds herself infected with a mysterious illness. It's a slow burn from there as she tries to come to terms with and figure out what's happening to her. This is a movie where one of the most effective scenes of horror involves someone making a salad. 5. Trollhunter: A reporter investigating reports of mysterious bear deaths discovers that the thing responsible is trolls. The neat thing about Trollhunter is that is bucks conventions by telling you pretty early on what's going on -- trolls are wandering the woods and the locals are trying to find and kill them -- and then it shows you the monsters early on and very clearly. The title tells you exactly what you're getting -- a group of hunters whose intended prey is trolls. Trolls the size of a two-story house. Honorable mention: Without Warning: It isn't technically found footage, but it's in line with movies where the entire story takes place on a screen in that it's presented as a faux Special Bulletin being broadcast live. Three meteors all hit the earth at the same time, evenly spaced around the Earth at the same latitude. We follow news coverage as things ramp up from there. And that ending, it's a doozy. This is available in full on UA-cam, at least a couple of different uploads.
15. The Conspiracy 14. Creep 2 13. Grave Encounters 12. The Dirties 11. The Taking of Deborah Logan 10. The Blair Witch Project 9. Sorgoi Prakov 8. The Tunnel 7. What We Do in the Shadows 6. Cloverfield 5. Creep 4. Zero Day 3. Lake Mungo 2. Troll Hunter 1. Rec
I always trust your reviews and opinions cuz we have the same top favorite found footage movies! I haven’t started the video yet but I already know it’s awesome.
i adore found footage movies and you actually listed a few i haven't seen because they are not available here in finland! In my top 10 are these movies: as above so below, the grave encounters ( 1-2), exists, the taking of deborah logan, host, rec, quarantine, the visit, paranormal activity & unfriended. If you count sinister is a found footage then that too. EDIT: I just finished the last exorcism and oh my gosh I LOVED it! Just ordered part 2 Blu-ray 😂
I remember when you came out with that video 4 years ago. It was one of the first videos I watched of yours! This is super random but I’ve loved watching your hair journey throughout the years and think this color is PERFECT on you !
I rewatched Grave Encounters recently and it still holds up. It’s so effectively scary to me. If you watch it at night with headphones on, there’s no way you don’t feel something in the room with you.
Milk & Serial was so unexpected, yet so satisfying of a watch. I believe you recommended it on one of your videos more recently and I can't thank you enough to the recommendation.
I just found your channel and immediately subscribed so idk if you've already done this or not, but have you ever thought about making a video compiling movies you think a new horror fan should watch, or what every horror fanatic should watch at least once? Great video btw
I agree about Gonjiam, I saw it recently. Such a tight perfect movie. It is atmospheric with a great believable and likable cast. The scenes of the tent at night blowing were so scary. I expected jump scares and had to cover my eyes everytime I saw that guy alone in that dam tent.
I cant believe you’d pick paranormal activity over Hell House LLC. 😮 paranormal activity is ok (2nd one i like the most) but Hell House’s clown just makes me wanna look at my phone when those scenes come up.
I really enjoyed the video and I have seen a good selection of the movies you mentioned. I liked that fact that you seemed to have actual reactions to the ones you mentioned in the video that tells me that you truly care about the things you say. So many youtubers can seem detached. I'm glad you aren't jaded, yet. ;) Also, still loving the dark nails. You look great don't let anyone tell you different. Much love. Peace OH my 5, in no particular order I'm afraid. Rec1, Quarantine, Blair Witch (saw it in theaters back in the day), The Tunnel, VHS the one with RATMA (sorry I forget the number of that one).
I love Unfriended too! I think people were pretty unfair with it because it was one of the first (at least mainstream) films that focused on modern topics like social media so people thought of it as silly, but I thought it was very well executed!
i know it’s so obvious Blair Witch (1999) would be number 1 but man that movie is AMAZING me personally i love how slow and quiet everything is, the way the forest kinda becomes the antagonist to these people trapped in it’s ever expanding space and the house- dear the house is probably the scariest place I could think a horror movie would take place the marketing too, its just a genius film and rightfully so in number 1
yeah I was definitely gagged lake mungo wasn't in there lmao, my top 5 would be like 1. Lake Mungo 2. Gonjiam 3. Noroi 4. As Above So Below 5. The Tunnel
You should start a re-ranking series where you re-rank the same topics (oldest ranked lists from the past) and compare them after to see how much your opinions have changed over the new horrors released.
Some recent examples I've enjoyed: Host (I love Host!); Horror In The High Desert series; Bad Ben; The Lost Footage of Leah Sullivan; Savageland; Howard's Mill; Death of a Vlogger; Leaving D.C.; Evil Things; Wer.
It's more of a mockumentary than found footage, even more so I'd say it's found photographs, but I highly recommend Savageland 2015 to you! I think it's on tubi and I believe I saw it on yt too 👀 It really got under my skin and has some of my favorite horror imagery of all time. I love your love of Blair witch project, it's one of my faves
Love your top pick. My list would include: The Blair Witch Project (number 1), Lake Mungo (no specific place), Cloverfield (no specific place) The Taking of Deborah Logan (no specific place), REC (might be second place) Skinamarink (might not even be Found Footage), Paranormal Activity franchise. There are so many more, but it would take a long time to finish the comment.
My brother and I came out of the theater after seeing The Blair Witch Project and I said, 'Horror is getting serious again. No more winking at the audience - thank god. Others in my top five: Rec, Butterfly Kisses, Paranormal Activity 2, and one you may not have seen, High Desert Project. As always your lists are fun and spark a lot of good debate.
I was so pleasantly surprised to see Incantation on here! Plus even more pleasantly surprised about As Above So Below's placement. It is probably my most rewatched comfort horror movie as well, always great to just throw on! Seriously great list though! I don't think there's anything I even disagree with haha😆 (Side note, I saw on letterboxd that you watched Paprika recently and rated it 5 stars and I'm literally over the moon that you enjoyed it since it is one of my all time favorite movies!! I'm so glad it ended up suiting your taste!)💚💚
Omg, I love the Devil's Pass! I know the real life event part is a bit iffy, but I think they made the right choice in like adding something in around the event instead of trying to explain it
Afflicted is for free on amazon prime in uk, but I am sorry to tell you that unless you open a amazon account in the country, just using the vpn won’t let you see it. I’ve tried.
🖤🖤👍👍👍 You just significantly increased my TBW list! Love it! Wish that I could give it 3 thumbs up .... Maybe a top tier ranking by "style" (cult, digital, virus, etc.) of found footage (get some more of the favs you were mentioning in there!) 👍👍👍🖤🖤
And agreed the first Blair Witch Project is one of the best movies ever made period. That’s number 1. Number 2 is Gonjiam, number 3 is the VHS series, number 4 is as above so below and number 5 is Hell House LLC.
Thanks for your list, being a found footage fan it gives me a lot of more movies to check out. I even wrote them down so I can compare them with all the other ones I have watched over the many many years. Have so many favorites but my top 2 as of now is Cloverfield and Grave Encounters. Followed closely by the VHS franchise.
Top 5: 5. The Taking of Deborah Logan- I knew it was fake(obviously they all are) cause of the one actress in this movie so I wasn’t immursed but the end of this movie… 4. Grave Encounters-this movie is a bit cheesy in the beginning but the second half of it i’d say is still memorable 3. Hell House LLC- what freaks me out about this movie is that I don’t live too far from the real location of this place and it is supposedly haunted in real life. 2. VHS- classic. The first 2 I liked but I saw one of the newer ones and I thought the beginning was stupid so I turned it off(I don’t remember which one it was but it was newer) 1. Gonjiam: Haunted Aslyum- my husband and I watched it and both of us got so freaked out for a few days after watching it. **this was hard but honorable mentions go to As Above So Below and The Poughkeepsie Tapes. Hot take but I am not a big fan of The Blair Witch Project, however, I liked Blair Witch(2016) a lot more 😂
Found footage connoisseur here I must recommend you check out: Horror in the high desert (only part 1) Savageland Frogman Chad gets the axe Exists Mr Jones Hell house origins The tunnel The houses October built The medium Frankensteins army

The Possession of Michael King is one that goes unnoticed. Deadstream is also really good, genuinely funny. And thank you for not including Lake Mungo. I seriously have no idea why people find that movie so scary. It's not, in my humble opinion. 😎Nice list!
The original Blair Witch freaked me the hell out, and then I was kind of immune to found footage after that lol
To date, "Blair Witch" 2016 & the original "The Blair Witch Project" are still my top 2 favorites. 😱
I found Afflicted on Amazon to purchase for 20 bucks..lol
I will probably have the most controversial movie in my top 5 and that's pretty much the reason i want to share the top 😂
1. Paranormal Activity (whole franchise as well)
2. Blair Witch (2016)
3. Unfriended (2014)
4. Dashcam (Absolutely feel no shame for loving it THAT much)
5. Incantation
Justice for Hell House LLC 🏁
That’s definitely in my top 5. So good!
yeah I agree the clowns in the first llc will always send shivers. the houses that october built is great too, but the sequel is redudant
Most underrated fs
FR!! That movie is good AND SCARY
Hell House LLC is for me what Gonjiam is for her lol
as a found footage lover, this video was made for me
You get me!
Girl, the way I knew your top 2 since the beginning of the video says it all lol. Forever grateful for the Gonjiam recommendation, still one of my fav horror of all time!
Yay!! Love that you guys know me so well I almost didn’t even have to make this video haha
I’ve been so bored with UA-cam. I was waiting patiently for your next drop 😂
This is how I feel all the time :D Nothing hits like a PBH video
Found footage is so PEAK. I love almost all of these. Grave Encounters is so freaking underrated. It is my comfy guilty pleasure movie
As someone who became a fan of Richard Harmon the minute I saw Grave Encounters 2, I'm SO sad we don't have a third movie yet.
Butterfly Kisses is so underrated, I've barely seen anyone talk about it even tho is both pretty creative and scary!
Hell House LLC is the last movie that genuinely made me feel uneasy and scared and I haven't been able to grasp that feeling again with another movie and I've seen pretty much all found footage and horror movies out there is sad
Y'all should see Horror in the high desert (the whole saga). One of the scariest I've seen. So good
Absolutely this! It's become a favorite franchise of mine since I stumbled upon it
The slowest of slow burns.. but it works as a whole - in fact, there are segments within that series that outdoes a lot of huge titles in terms of outright eerieness.
hey y'all! for those who are curious afflicted is streaming in Canada prime video, hope this helps!!
It's an excellent film
Justice for Lake Mungo
That movie has stuck with me since I watched it, something about it just lingers

Bruh poor Hell House LLC done dirty

love for The Dirties, yes!
Sarah, have you watched The Medium?? It’s also found footage one, this is Thailand one and under a South Korean production.
heavily agree this was crazy
My forever favourite horror movie. Every re-watch is a treat and i somehow still scare myself despite having watched it so many times
And honestly, the den was wayyyy underrated as a found footage movie!
The Den is probably my #1 FF. I love that one!!
@catrinag.9262 so good!
honestly you are the only person i trust when it comes to found footage, thank you for making this vid lol :)
You look amazing in this video queen
Milk & Serial was so unexpected, yet so satisfying of a watch. I believe you recommended it on one of your videos more recently and I can't thank you enough to the recommendation.
Too b movie for me
I just found your channel and immediately subscribed so idk if you've already done this or not, but have you ever thought about making a video compiling movies you think a new horror fan should watch, or what every horror fanatic should watch at least once? Great video btw
The Last Exorcism at the top 3 is wild! I love it too.
As Above So Below is SO underrated! Never tire of watching it.
Nicely done.🤘
I really enjoyed the video and I have seen a good selection of the movies you mentioned. I liked that fact that you seemed to have actual reactions to the ones you mentioned in the video that tells me that you truly care about the things you say. So many youtubers can seem detached. I'm glad you aren't jaded, yet. ;) Also, still loving the dark nails. You look great don't let anyone tell you different. Much love. Peace OH my 5, in no particular order I'm afraid. Rec1, Quarantine, Blair Witch (saw it in theaters back in the day), The Tunnel, VHS the one with RATMA (sorry I forget the number of that one).
i love u queen, u are so real for this - thank u for the found footage content
I've seen all but 2 (Afflicted and Incantation), seriously you should check out Horror in The High Desert movies. Shockingly good.
so happy to see Butterfly Kisses so high on this list. Curious as to if you've seen "There Are Monsters"? It's definitely in my top 5 at least
1:Blair Witch Project 2:Blair Witch 2016 3:Rec 4 :Alien Abduction 5: Lake Mungo 6: Bigfoot the lost coast tapes 7: Paranormal Activity- the marked ones
I love Unfriended too! I think people were pretty unfair with it because it was one of the first (at least mainstream) films that focused on modern topics like social media so people thought of it as silly, but I thought it was very well executed!
Delivery: The Beast Within. It's my FAVORITE Found Footage movies and is CRIMINALLY underrated.
i know it’s so obvious Blair Witch (1999) would be number 1 but man that movie is AMAZING
me personally i love how slow and quiet everything is, the way the forest kinda becomes the antagonist to these people trapped in it’s ever expanding space
and the house- dear the house is probably the scariest place I could think a horror movie would take place
the marketing too, its just a genius film and rightfully so in number 1
yeah I was definitely gagged lake mungo wasn't in there lmao, my top 5 would be like
1. Lake Mungo
2. Gonjiam
3. Noroi
4. As Above So Below
5. The Tunnel
Right? A criminal omission.
Is that even found footage though? Isn't it a mockumentary?
afflicted is available in my country ( netherlands) on google play films for 4 Euro's ( i don't know how many dollars that is)
Dude my Pisces moon is my chart ruler and I FEEL YOU on the fever dream movies. They're the absolute best.
Hell yeah you get me haha
You should start a re-ranking series where you re-rank the same topics (oldest ranked lists from the past) and compare them after to see how much your opinions have changed over the new horrors released.
I was a friend of the director of Butterfly Kisses. Such a fun and creative film!
Love found footage movies. Been searching for found footage movues for ages. Thank you for the list
Making my way through the episodes of Creep Tapes rn, it's pretty good. Has that same unsettling tension that the movies did all the way through 👍🏻
I was just watching your past Found Footage rankings and thinking "I really hope she does a new one soon" !
Well spoken as always ! For me “the bay” is a minor masterpiece- happy it made the cut !
Would loooooove to see this with other horror subgenres like slasher, teen horror, body horror, haunted house, possession, etc.
I started getting into found footage because of you Sarah! THANK YOU GIRL!!
Found footage is top tier horror to me! It makes everything seem so much more real
I don't think there's anything I even disagree with haha😆
(Side note, I saw on letterboxd that you watched Paprika recently and rated it 5 stars and I'm literally over the moon that you enjoyed it since it is one of my all time favorite movies!! I'm so glad it ended up suiting your taste!)💚💚
Omg, I love the Devil's Pass! I know the real life event part is a bit iffy, but I think they made the right choice in like adding something in around the event instead of trying to explain it
This comes at the perfect time cause I’m so in the mood for found footage movies. They’re my favorite!
Maybe a top tier ranking by "style" (cult, digital, virus, etc.) of found footage (get some more of the favs you were mentioning in there!) 👍👍👍🖤🖤
Great video with a lot of movies I’ve never heard of im going to check a lot of these out thank you
Thank you so much for this list. I AM OBSESSED with found footage ❤ My top 3: REC, HELL HOUSE, GONJIAM HAUNTED ASYLUM
The Blair Witch Project is my favorite FF horror too!
i wanted a found footage movies video from her again...and here we are❤🎉
heyyy!!! loved this rankings. can u please do another one for supernatural horror movies ,pls!!!!!! :)
Uf...I can't maybe:
1- Butterfly Kisses
2- As above so below
3- Lake mungo
4- Chronicle
5- Spree
6- (cheated) What we do in the shadows
Top 5 ranked found footage for me would be.
1. The Medium
2. The Bay
3. Gonjiam Haunted Asylum
4. Noroi The Curse
5. The Taking of Deborah Logan
And agreed the first Blair Witch Project is one of the best movies ever made period. That’s number 1. Number 2 is Gonjiam, number 3 is the VHS series, number 4 is as above so below and number 5 is Hell House LLC.
Love your videos and I will definitely check these out never miss on some good horror
the backround kills it
Your top 2 are solid IMO, my top 5 are 1. Blair Witch Prodject, 2.Hell House LLC, 3.Rec , 4. Paranormal Activity, 5, Gonjiam Haunted Asylum.
I had no idea that’s a bad idea made a movie. I watch their shorts all time. They are hilarious.
1. Paranormal Activities Series
2. Hell House LLC Series
3. The Levenger Tapes
4. As above do below
5. Cloverfield
Loved this so much!
AFFLICTED is available in UK on multiple platforms
Top 5:
5. The Taking of Deborah Logan- I knew it was fake(obviously they all are) cause of the one actress in this movie so I wasn’t immursed but the end of this movie…
4. Grave Encounters-this movie is a bit cheesy in the beginning but the second half of it i’d say is still memorable
3. Hell House LLC- what freaks me out about this movie is that I don’t live too far from the real location of this place and it is supposedly haunted in real life.
2. VHS- classic. The first 2 I liked but I saw one of the newer ones and I thought the beginning was stupid so I turned it off(I don’t remember which one it was but it was newer)
1. Gonjiam: Haunted Aslyum- my husband and I watched it and both of us got so freaked out for a few days after watching it.
**this was hard but honorable mentions go to As Above So Below and The Poughkeepsie Tapes. Hot take but I am not a big fan of The Blair Witch Project, however, I liked Blair Witch(2016) a lot more 😂
Top 5 for me would be (not in any order)
* Blair Witch
* Grave Encounters
* Paranormal Activity Franchise
* The Last Exorcism
* Cloverfield
1.REC 2.Incantation 3.VHS 2 4. Hell House 5. Unfriended 👻
