Fantastic layouts, I love the Towcester layout, I lived there for many years before moving back home to Wales, I would have loved to have seen the real railway in action :(

All stunning - glad I don’t have to judge between them. Thanks for sharing and, as ever, the interesting and useful commentaries on each layout.

Some lovely layouts but Hornsey Broadway looks so much better than the others In my opinion

Hi, Thanks for your comment. I'm hoping in 2021 that I can get to see Hornsey Broadway again as I think I missed quite a bit of detail. Let's hope shows start again soon. Happy New Year. Andrew

I do like your channel. One fact for trivia, Irrgarten, the rabbit warren layout, would be loosely translated from the German as 'Garden where you lose your way' so the owners have named it well

The bridge at Remagen is beautiful, but I can't help but think that the vertical supporting steels are rather light. But then that's maybe why it collapsed eventually.?

Hi Nigel, I have to take an opposing view. I think the bridge design was remarkable given the amount of munitions that were fired at it. First by the Allies and then by the Germans after the bridgehead was established. Don't forget the bridge was already damaged after all the explosives that were laid failed to topple the bridge. After that the Allies threw massive amounts of armour over the bridge into the bridgehead on the German side. That the bridge failed to collapse after all that is testimony to its design. Andrew

Quick comparison with photos (on wiki) shows that builder of the model made an error. The main arch of the bridge should continue all the way to pillars. On the top of the pillars arch beam, vetical beam and elongated beam from latticed part of the bridge should have met. Builder of the model isn't probably civil or mechanical engineer but the layout still looks gorgeous.

@@kosskrit Hi Blackbird, I agree with you in that the model is a very good representation of the Ludendorf bridge.
You are quite correct in the detail you describe, I also think that close scrutiny reveals the proportions of those steels on the pillars are a too small in section.
What's the old adage? If it looks right, then it probably is right.!

Hi Jim, Yes it was! I had less layouts than 2019 but it didn't make it any easier. Andrew

Allow me one nitpick? EM and OO are both gauges in 4mm scale.
