Most people think of the Substance version as the definitive version of LWTUA, but yeah, I think the Peel version is my fav. They recorded this song four times. The order is:
    1. 2nd Peel Session (November 26, 1979)
    2. This version (January 8, 1980)
    3. The version used for Substance (March 1980)
    4. The ORIGINAL video version, which was recorded live; the "Substance" version was overdubbed for general release, though (April 28, 1980)

I love how this song was used in Marc Johnson's part in Yeah Right.
    Perfect song.

Thanks for the upload and bg info, I heard this version years ago and fell in love but had a hell of a time finding it, great audio, really appreciate the HQ images as well!

According to the H&S notes, both sessions, though separate, were in March.

the peel session one was actually recorded first.

I wish a better job was done on that H&S box set. It's haphazardly sequenced and songs are missing from the same sessions where songs were included. (Like this!)

On the one hand you say it is the B side version from the original single (which, sadly, I lost years ago) which was unlisted on the disc/cover next to 'These Days', but on the other hand you say it is 'Previously unreleased, except on bootleg' - Well which is it? It can't be both! The original single, FAC 23 with 107 different released variations was never a bootleg, at least not to start with.... I think you are more confused than people who try to collect every variation. Great song, great rendition, but your introductory notes make a nonsense of coherence... maybe that was your intention?
