This is a great game
widepeepoHappy i hope you have great day Peon
The mgtow Journey works wonders :)
Hey I saw your black desert nova video. What was the name/code of the customization file you used for the Nova? I can no longer find it on beauty album
IS IT ON MOBILEEEEEE
I was really hoping he would understand how the combat actually works :D The orb system is like a connect 3, you need to stack up multiple orbs and make your best to connect three of the same color.
I know, the combat has a lot more depth than what he shows. This showcase aint it. Surface leveling understanding of the gameplay aint enough.
@@struggler3696 yea barely surface level, that is like the first thing they ever tell you, is to connect 3 of them and thats where it all starts lol.
and then ya discover every character have its own unique passives with orbs on how ya combine them and use them :D
Yes, orbs and other stuff tie in to how you activate the core passives of each character which is why you personally have to know them all. At peak gameplay, youre trying to ping orbs while dodging enemies and reading atk patterns. To add to that, if youre wearing da vinci, that even makes it even more important which slot to put your characters to maximize dmg and you will be incentivized to be mindful of which orbs to ping and manage your character switching. The had eye coordination in this game is next level and no big content creator has ever successfully shown this nuanced side of pgr combat. Like i said, this video aint it, and not even the great mtashed even truly understood this game at least from the video he made about it. Kinda sucks that kuro's genius is not really known and the few videos that try to sell this game has been a$$
not necessarily have to tho, sure you can connect all three for the utmost efficiency of the skill but you can also just use it while connected with 2 or even 1, and entering the matrix make those 2 | 1 orbs counted as 3. just laying it there tho some people might get misinformed and think orb system is some candycrush type shit
not a fan of you doing a "Is it worth playing?" of a game that sponsored you. there is no way we'll get a neutral stance on the pros/cons. this would fit better as a showcase kinda video imo.
Yeah, sadly as much i like this game, the devs doesnt really know how to properly advertise their game but if incase you are interested here is some bossfight gameplay ua-cam.com/video/SnFaDwHm_TE/v-deo.html
Completely agree with that.
Agree. Excatly my thoughts on every LazyPeon sponsored videos. Would be great if they are a showcase video.
I play this game and I really like it but seeing this video it make the game looks bad.
He's upfront about it so I don't see the issue tbh.
@@KineticCalvaria I mean the issue is clear. he doesn't even list things like the predatory gacha mechanics as a con at the end and instead just says "not for anime haters" it's at best a terrible review that's flat out ignorant of the actual game it's reviewing, and at worst it's a review where the sponsor had a say in the script of the video.
This is the kind of game that gets even better with time. The early chapters can be a bit of a slog, but the story, gameplay, music, and difficulty are taken up a notch with each new update. Story missions do get longer later on, but the meat and potatoes of the game lies in the boss fights and other game modes like Warzone and Pain Cage, where you fight hordes of mobs and bosses and the combat really shines. No other action mobile game pumps me up nearly as much as PGR's endgame Norman War and Babel Tower (looking at all of Mihoyo's IPs and ToF as a base for comparison).
Btw, you can turn off 9S's hacking game if you tire of it, it'll just be a nuke.
Man screw Norman revival plan it's annoying to do even if alpha is broken and slaps most of the fights silly
Norman is fcng bullshit. Why are you forced to use one damn character per stage and then its locked? You either habe all characters build or you are forced to use trials that are garbage.
And whole difficulty comes from fact that enemies have bazzilion hp and resistances and you race against time
@@okularnik125 But if you don't have the characters to finish it early you don't need to, do you? The game gives you 10 days for Norman, with each day being substantially easier than the last. By day 10 you have enough buffs in your team that you can reach 9K power with _all_ trial units, if you can't even finish it by then, it's not even a skill issue, it means you aren't even trying. Plus, the rewards for finishing early are hardly better than finishing late, so it's not like you're losing out as a new F2P player compared to long time players either.
The whole point of the design is for players to choose the kind of challenge they want for themselves, with the resources they have. You can skip it entirely and you're not missing anything groundbreaking; same applies to most other event modes.
@@FrizFroz you talking about Norman or Deep Blue Warzone?
@@okularnik125 Norman. What are _you_ referring to? If it’s the latter, I’m with you on that.
Definitely prefer this type of combat over most other things when i want something fast-paced. Found this after looking into Wuthering Waves which looks just as epic, if not more.
PGR is a good game to advertise. Game definitely deserves more attention and advertisement.
It literally gives every new character to the player just for doing dailies consistently which take like 10 to 15 minutes per day. You don't have to skip banner.
For a new character released you can get her 100% every 60 pulls if you pull on the right banner. Those that arent new you can get them, but you only have a 70% chance to do so and 30% chance to get a random s rank character
As for me personally this is the greatest gameplay first impression ever but you need to play the music in this game, so good especially at the boss fight. Your commentary are great and thanks for reviewing this game👍👍👍
Just started this on the ultra 22 its so fun. I definitely want to get the Nier team as 2b seems to be op from what I seen many youtubers shown
will i be able to use my current account on pc when it lunches there
and will we get it on steam
glad you like PGR.
you should try wuthering waves when it released,
it created by the same developer.
To be honest, I don't like anime but I really love this game. The artstyle of it is totally unique compared to any gacha anime game out there, much more toned down and not too over-the-top. Also the combat system is probably one of more technical skill-based gameplays I've ever seen, feels truly rewarding once you get better by for eg. memorizing attack patterns of enemies. And to all that, add a really mature, rich, & engaging storyline, in which your self-insert character actually plays a significant, central role (that's other thing that I find unique in this game compared to other games of that type). Anyways, can't recommend this game enough, such an underrated gem.
As someone else in the comments said, this video doesn't exactly do justice to this game, not showing how really complex the combat really is.
You wanna show how great this game can be gameplaywise? Nothing is better than a babel tower run showcase with all the buffs to the enemies or a no dmg showcase of bosses like the mother structure. Dont forget the music too.
Best part is people trying to figure out how the orb system works, let's say the combat is 10 times more intricate than you've understood so far. Like interactions between core passives memories and qtes
@TheLazyPeon
Decent First Impression review.
If you want to fight hordes of enemies go to Challenge tab, then go into Warzone. (the rotation changes every 4 days)
If you want to fight 3 different bosses with increasing difficulty, Challege > Phantom Pain Cage (changes every Monday)
There are also ultra hard events called Babel Tower and Norman that require being in the zone to finish, and even if you whale on the game, the mobs can 1 shot you if you cant dodge properly.
Some fights can reach 5 or even almost 10 minutes depending on how tanky the boss is.
You can also join guilds and engage in guild battles that change every week.
Hope you can play more of the game and create an in-depth review one day.
I love PGR sm the animations are so smooth and it’s on my list of cool games like Onmyoji and Honkai
Probably the only gacha game that I respect as long as they keep their feet on the ground.
Combat is innovative and extremely satisfying, specifically the 3 ping system, the dodge and parry matrix, as well as the QTEs. Great boss design. Story is dark and good, albeit meandering at earlier chapters, it gets really good though, like the current Lamia quest and the Selena one. Gacha system is probably the fairest I've ever seen in the industry. But still a gacha though. Music is top-tier, specially if you love trance music. The world-building is convincing, but I think attention should be paid while reading the visual novel. Otherwise, it will feel somehow unbelievable. Probably one of the most important factor for me is how communicative the developers are to their players.
I think this review doesn't do it justice, the points of difference aren't highlighted enough, specially the 3 ping system, the fair gacha monetization, and the aforementioned. Cause without emphasizing those, PGR will just look like a generic ARPG.
Now let's wait for the PC client.
What's the meaning of QTE ?
@@4z4n It means "quick time events."
How is the game now? I just found it about it.. is it like a pure gacha like genshin? Does it have pity? Cause that gameplay is FUN.
@@Kaiilayn IIRC it's a hack n' slash gacha far closer to Honkai Impact 3rd (IIRC it and HI3 are the only notable ones atm), though more execution-heavy in comparison (I've seen some people say Honkai 3rd has turned into an "unga bunga" game).
Trust me there are definitely missions that are much longer than those, thosewhoknow.
boy oh boy they do NOT know...
Hopefully when the game comes out GLOBALLY on PC so I can finally play it because it is region locked on my region on mobile :(
Didn't expect you to review this game i had fun playing this game more then genshin impact felt like I'm playing devil may cry
Doesn't even come close to Genshin Impact quality lmao, genshin has beautiful Open World and art direction and more interesting combat :D
@@acreativename2781 You're high as fuck if you think Genshin's combat is more interesting lmao.
Here before this reply section gets toxic
@@acreativename2781 Genshin's weakest aspect Is it's lackluster basic combat so stop lying, yes the world and story is good but that's it
@@acreativename2781 Lol, Genshin has very lackluster combat gameplay.
FINALLY. RAVENS GETTING THE ATTENTION IT DESERVES
Been playing this a year noe and i can tell you this game is incredibly generous with ingame currency including a system in the game itself to aquire units wihtout ever spending a dime by doing challenges to get tokens to trade for construct shards and at 50 shards you unlock that construct. Super F2P and fun game with a high skill ceiling later down the line.
Edit: Forgot to mention the pity system is really good too where at 60 pulls its guaranteed an S rank if you havent rolled one before then. Its pretty on par with arknight's pity system but the generous in game currency plus pity puts a big smile on my face
how long do you need to grind for 60 pulls?
@@clueless7822 depends on how much you play. I dont knoe the exact amount since they give the currency via missions, challenges, login, weekly missions, events, and if you buy the monthly card for like $5. Ofc you dont have to buy it or else it wouldnt be f2p. For me with the card plus everything else I made about 9000 cards at 2500 cards for 10 pulls that puts me at 36 pulls. I could have made more Im not sure since i havent been keeping track but ive only spent like $20 and have all but 3 of the S ranks in the game. The game is extremely fun and challenging so I hope you like it.
@@Yuuki-SJ As I understood it: you've bought 4 cards (I guess these are the currency and this is a pack of cards) each costs 5$ that put you at about 9000 cards which translates into 36 pulls. These prices are outrageous.
@@clueless7822 No sorry lol I didnt explain myself clearly. I spent intotal since o started playing $20 on monthly cards xD. $5 for each month which the cards net about 3300 on its own each month. I also mentioned i havent kept track of my black cards all i know is in 2 months and just the monthly card plus playing I have currently 15k black cards equalling 60 pulls with a guranteed S rank at 60. Unlike most gacha games the pity just gives you a better chance at pity whereas they legit just give it to you and the pity carries over to other banners. The pity resets if you get an s rank early tho. Ive played genshin, fgo, arknights, and azur lane and ill say onky arknights came close to PGR in my opinion. The only thing in this game that gets pricey are cosmetics and s rank weapons. But constructs are just as strong with A rank weapons as well just have to tweak your build for them.
Edit: Sorry you can get A rank(gold) weapons if you roll or get them via the co-op zone. Co-op is fun but its kinda clunky atm
Edit 2: Sorry I just noticed as well. Monthly cards are like the paid login rewards. Rainbow cards are the paid currency. R&D Cards are from juat playing and login events they only roll A ranks. Weapon Research cards are well for weapons. CUB cards are for these little compabions that offer another form of CC or damage outaide your construct. Event cards which are cards specific to premium banners. Last but not least black cards which are the currency offered by all the activities in game that can be converted into any of the cards abive except rainbow cards. Rainbow cards can be converted to black cards as well but i highly recommend against doing that as rainbow cards should be strictly used for discount packs.
@@Yuuki-SJ I see. Honestly, sounds like a fun game.
No way, I can't believe you made a video about this game, ack love you Peon, I've been watching your contents for a long time i just can't believe you'd feature this game. Anyways good video as always 👌🥰
Edit: a highly recommended game, pretty much f2p, cool combat mechanics and boss mechanics, the story is ok it would get interesting until chapter 6 to 8 tho you'd be reading a lot i guess if you care you could read it.
Is it still worth it to start PGR if I'm just about to start today? I have an existing account but I want to restart from scratch this 2023.
If you play as 2B, gather around 12+ orbs and just spam them through, you will get a little bit of an easter egg - a somewhat remarkable outfit change ;)

Can't believe mans turned off the BGM in the Lamia fight smh my head 😔
I like this game. The music is so amazing!
Indeed. I’m blown away
Hope we'll get an anime from A1 Picture for that title too.Preferably without hiatus after three episodes, tho
I wasn't expecting this from you. It's a good game I can tell you that
A con I always had for this game is that there are a overwhelming amount of modes that don't really have a actual use or their use is outdated
Luckily beginner guides for this game are very well made by the community so a quick eyeing of it should give you a very good sense of direction without wasting any of your time. I recommend textual guides but if you are more of a "video person" there are some too in UA-cam that are also very good. Have fun and always roll for your waifus
was this the game he was talking about on twitter a few days ago?

And YES, Alpha deserve a body pillow~
Yes pgr and kuro are known for the music and difficult bossfights
Which u can't wait for in Wuthering waves

PGR a game that was design only for mobile but actually good in PC
the only one i really like is the combat and Music
--- every character have its own core passives (combination of orbs)
--- limited but rewarding(matrix) dodge system
--- repetitive combat but if feels like ya always discover different things :D
im f2p and in the time being im enjoying ma SSS muda muda changyu and ma cannon baby Karenina/blast

You going to show anymore AoC gameplay if your allowed, I remember you saying you thought they were going to open the game this some more for testing. If I am wrong my bad but I am just excited as heck for any gameplay of it love the vids thanks have a good day man!

edit : some grammar
Bruh, why the hell does he have the Tifa memory set on 9S? XD XD XD
I wouldn't say I'm a veteran but, I can't say I haven't played the game a little after it came out for America, I can't be the only one who cringed a bit at his fighting. Each character in the game has its own skill level you kinda have to learn, A ranked characters of course being easier, so when I watched his technique in using vera, kinda died inside but then I got a good chuckle. Nothing against him of course, it was actually kinda interesting to see how new players try the game. For me personally, I play mobile games and read a lot so it was pretty easy for me to catch on and get better, plus I played the training for the characters specifically to get better at them.
does this game have auto combat at some point or skip tickets for the grind?
No auto combat and no tickets to skip, but there's some minors instances when you can skip the fight (like collecting daily shards for f2p characters) and in each update there's an event to farm a currency for the event shop and when lvling up the rank of the mode to a certain point it allows to skip the fight at the start of it, see it as a "reward" to help you gain some time lol
I doN't really like games like this but damn that bossfight is nutty
this games soundtrack is so epic wtf
for the veteran player, i wanna ask if it is to late to play pgr right now ? i like this type of games and wanted to try it, but im affraid that its to late for me

You'll catch up eventually and good thing about this game is, it rewards the long time devoted players.
It's got a banger soundtrack
What about this game is new? Hasn't it been out globally on mobile for well over a year?
It's getting an official PC (non-emulator) release soon. Beta testing started last month I think
Longer missions eh??
Wait till Deep Blue returns XD
This is the first Gacha game I ever bought merch for. The mouse and mouse pad are top tier.

Is this another of those games developed by china that require may too many system permissions to be able to run(i.e. spyware if the devs want it to be) or is it more like a normal app/game that is only be minimally intrusive into your OS?
No special extra permissions + game is has top tier optimization (I played PC beta client + year of playing on different phones)

I'll nitpick a little. It's a shame you turned the BGM off during the Lamia fight showcase. One of the best songs in the game
These people need to start playing PGR before saying "oHh iT's a hOnkAi iMpacT rIp-ofF" and "gEnsHin iMpact iS beTter". PGR's gameplay and OSTs are objectively better than both of those games.
It all comes down to personal preference you can't say any is better. I play all 3 religiously so I can say this with confidence
Honkai is fine coz bosses fights back
Genshin? Nah it’s boring like bosses stands still waiting for you entire time and boring are just Switch/Ult/Spam

I really like the look of this game and combat seems really fun. That said, I would rather pay full price for a game and unlock the characters through in game work rather then an artificially created grind and chance system designed to get me to spend money. After all most of us didn’t get lucky on crypto.
Agree, maybe one day we will get a game with combat as good as PGR but with better monetization system (no p2w, something similar to path of exile as example?). What's good is that this game is designed in a way where you can get eventually every character in game just by playing but sure gacha is still far from perfect.
I'd say to get every, or almost every char, you only need the monthly sub, which is like 6$ per month, and to be diligent about every event.
I dont know when last time i got game like that feel like almost 10 year ago
@@FallenNoir pretty sure all event reward and dailies and weeklies stuff is already enough for guarantee unless you spend it on somewhere else

@@ymw1107 Uhh, he literally stated at the start of the video that it's a sponsored video? It wasn't a secret, dude...
@@allthatishere that's... Not what I meant at all, but OK.
@@ymw1107 *"did u guys not see he is sponsored by the game to make this video?"*
Okay as well, I guess?
I think that's very true in regards to when he covered "League of Maidens". That "game" was complete and utter trash. Having played PGR myself, I can confirm it's really not a bad game and I doubt he'd have to force himself to be positive about it.
The fact that the missions are that short just further shows how it's more for the mobile players...
Only first missions , things get longer
Now we have an event called deep warzone and its grinding asf so it have modes for everyone who like short gameplay and who like long gameplay
literally everything before chapter 9 was very lazy written and aren't really worth of mention as they are.. well.. pretty short in action and more of just story progression and world building. they funneled all the fun parts to the endgame where youre atleast about level80(which is a dick move considering early game is what decides whether players will stay or nah) where gamemodes like warzone and ppc becomes your priorities, not even mentioning babel tower and norman war.
I mean at main version right now it so long that there even option to skip stage and story entirely and you straight get the reward for clearing it
Before Chapter 9 everything was... mehh. After Chap 9 everything starts getting better. It's like FGO where the chapters before Camelot were absolutely mediocre but when Nasu joined to write the story for Camelot things are getting good.
It is a better honkai
In my opinion yes. Combat is good. Gacha system is also good. And it's dark mode doesn't really burn your eyes with flashy ult(?) like Honkai. Oh and the ost is dope🔥
Bro looks like The Stranger from GOW
Is already put in gloval??
Already in global more than a year and soon will available PC version.
@@-Shibbi welp is lock where i love thats why i ws asking
@@accelerator8558 there are ways to get in locked countries like qooapp and other apk installers, you'll have test which works for you
@@ayaya- why not just release it for everybody, this is troublesome
@@accelerator8558 if it was up to kuro they would release it on the moon, sometimes its the country's policy, some countries in Europe don't allow it, also some in south east asia, and its not only pgr, other gachas are also "banned" in them.
this looks incredible
Now this is early.
As much as I love PGR as Kuro Game as a whole
I can't help but I always feel awkward whenever I watch a sponsored video or even a sponsored stream
Like tbh it's not an effective way of marketing anymore
And it's not a genuine
btw tried to watch the whole, Nice video tho
on god, i've lost total believe in pgr's marketing team, making a "is this game worth it" video while being sponsored by said game is like needing to say positive things while offcam you're being held gunpoint
now that wuthering waves is coming, i pray that it becomes successful in many ways including marketing and getting the name out in the surface.
@@officialzzane
I hope the WuWaves Marketing Team will go through Advertisement route(like making ads on UA-cam, Facebook Ads, etc)
Than focusing on sponsoreships
So that it will prevent the game to look dirty
Be out on mobile before the pc version
Wish I could burn away my memory and replay NieR Automata for the first time again instead :(
I'd consider it if it didn't have a mobile UI/ feeling
you can customize the UI to your heart's content, even make the keys invisible, the game has so much stuff that is not covered in the video
@@ayaya- good to know, thnx! ;D
Pc client coming soon and it's beautiful
@@Prodigal450 good to know :)
"As you see i've been given access to all NiEr automata characters, let's test them" => proceed to upgrade to SSS tier (???). i mean yes ok, how are you having all this granted ? does it include whaling or simply they did throw you all that stuff for free because it's sponsored content ?
As a Pgr fan, all I can say to the peeps who have hate on this game is.
"Lol bruv, havin' a Skill Issue bruv."
I've tried it for about 2 weeks and while I can understand the praise for the gameplay, its definitely very fun, I find that it takes forever to actually get anything from the gacha as a f2p. Like the game just barely gives any currency for you to even get your first gacha S unit besides the ticket. That and its just a complete slog to get exp for ranks. You reach a certain point where everything you need to do is locked behind a level restriction and you need to play for like a week to get past said restriction. Idk, it just never clicked with me.
Yeah u shouldn't play this game if ur not good at it
I'm F2P as well. You'll have to save up for a bit if you want S ranks, but it's really satisfying once you get your favorite character... It's a guaranteed pity, so it's not like you can never get an S rank. Just be a bit patient and the game will reward you.
@@Prodigal450 I'm not talking about the combat. I can play the game just fine and I dont find it that hard.
I'm mostly referring to the gacha and some other mechanics.
I couldn't agree more with you. What does not seat well with me is that you MUST spend REAL money to advance at the pace you'd want and get cool weapons and even doing that you'd be gambling on random loot boxes which I refuse despite reaching level 83 by grinding and also spending about USD 80, I refuse to spend any more money. It's morally wrong.
tbf with the game ,every gacha has a limit wall eventually xd. is not just this one. Honkai3 has it too. my only down of the game is skins price is a bit expensive and it dont have EN dub yet and spanish languaje
