Just found your channel and wow does this bring back memories. I was a apartment maintenance man through most of the 1980's and to this day I'm super grateful for all the things I learned that has allowed me to do my own repairs, without paying anyone to come fix an issue ever. Your videos are very entertaining and comical, but yet informative. Love the fart noise you use as a transition haha! 💨🤣I'll be watching!

That clogged drain "should" be a resident charge since they caused the problem. I know it's different in apartments, though.

Do you know what the standard operating temperature is supposed to be for those taco motors?
I have one that feels pretty hot but still feels like it's working.

Same temp as the water heater pretty much. It is only a little psi over normal water pressure. Only the cast iron body ones rust up, then only pull maybe one amp when motor stops turning impeller. I used to work on ones that were 30 year old rust buckets, ceiling mounted. They would replace bronze and stainless body ones with cast iron. Like 50 dollars cheaper.
From your experience, which would be most economical for the landlord...a conventional split ac unit with gas furnace, or a heat pump with electric strip heat? Looking for least cost to buy and least maint/repair cost over lifetime. Thanks for your channel!
Here in Florida where it might dip below 32 degrees for 2 weeks, a heat pump is the best choice. If you live up north where snow builds outside on units, I'd go with gas furnace.

My old boss wouldn't let us use those guns Lex. She thought it would blow apart the drain line. She'd rather that we sucked the line and drop hot water down there. Happy 2024 ! Oh, as far as the grease lady ? If she knowingly kept doing stuff like that that wold cause a problem, my boss would charge her for it. The first time she did it, she'd get a letter saying please do not put grease down the drain, etc. Continued maintenance calls because of this will result in a fine. My boss was a b!tch and the reason I left but she wan't a push over and she didn't suffer fools gladly
