I've been experimenting a lot with Shadow Isles Ethereal and their late game combos can completely overwhelm Dragons/Celestials with Hecarim+Rekindler+Harrowing
Trundle is easily the most well designed hero of the new expansion, but do you think he will ever be tuned down, however that might be? He reminds me of Sejuani/old Hecarim, how back in the day, you could literally add them to any deck, and it still be good. There is nothing about him that is too OP, maybe the HP of the Ice Pillar, he is just super solid.
I don't know why the Runeterra community is so against splashable champs as if general good champs are such a bad thing. I've never seen any other card game like this. It's crazy because the other half of the community is crying about how some champs (i.e. Nautilus, Diana, Leona etc) have tight deck building restrictions. Sejuani and trundle are really cool champs to me BECAUSE they don't require you to perform backflips just to get use out of them. I still enjoy deck restricted champs, but it's nice to have SOME champs that are flexible..
This deck was the scapegoat easy hate target for all the people that dislike the new expansion. It was good for like 3 days and was quickly pushed out after people realised it's too slow to keep up yet trundle and asol still get moaned about non stop to this day
I actually think the format is more aggressive because of ramp aurelion Which is why the format felt unchanged because it brings back a more aggressive decks from pre targon
That is exactly what I was thinking. There was a TON of A Sol right after the expansion hit. Because of that, people started playing aggressive decks to combat all of the A Sol, which then led to more midrange decks to be able to deal with both aggro and control relatively well. We’re essentially in the same meta as we were last expansion, with the best decks being aggressive and midrange decks, whereas control is on the backburner. Because Targon has no aggro tools and only has midrange in the form of Leona, it isn’t really seen in this meta. It just so happens that, because less cards were released this expansion compared to last, the composition of those aggro and midrange decks haven’t really changed all too much. This is especially because the expansion hasn’t introduced new champions and cards to many of those regions.

I cant understand this statement.. Yasuo midrange cannot compete with asol late game. Well it's not supposed to be able to. Midrange shouldn't outvalue control in the late game. If a deck isn't fast enough to beat a control deck by the late game then it should lose. Asol isn't single handedly shutting down other control decks either. We are than left with aurelion, trundle and nocturn. Nocturn is playable in 1 deck in the whole game (even nautilus can go in 2 kinds of decks), which only leaves us with trundle and a sol and it's already stale af. IMO they should've revealed *spoilers* shivana or victor instead of lulu and not lock nocturn in nightfall when there's like 3 good nightfall cards
Why play bjerg when you play dragon clutch and get them both for 3 mana at instant speed as well to be tricky with trundle. Or use it’s +1/+1 to make it asol level
I think that’s a decent card to swap it for, but at the same time, the 3/3 body is very relevant to this deck due to it acting as a bridge from your terrible early game into your late game. But ensuring that you get both mind splitter and Sol off of one card is also very good. I think if you use clutch over bjerg, you might swap out another card to act as the mid-game stabilizer.
If your gonna kick my ass with a nut hand I'd prefer if it was sooner then later. I can board wipe most aggro decks if I build properly. I can't beat a spellshield card generating free casting 10/10 space dragon. If you cant explain to me a way to beating an aul sol deck without rushing my opponent down then we have a serious problem.
Mitchell Davis Sejuani is easy to counter with the amount of Obliterate cards Targon has, plus we have Hush, but I’m expecting some nerf to it tomorrow so I don’t know how is gonna be. IMO, only nerf Hush deserves is stop creating fleeting copies, besides it, all the rest is fine for me.
Keith SI call of the war mother deck easily beats A Sol decks. It’s the only control deck that can beat A Sol just as equal. SI ramp deck have everything to beat destroy it.
@@hsilva0490 deep honestly can do it pretty well too from my experience. It's a bit tougher for sure but if they don't have the obliterate in time for your nautilus then it's gg
Aggro is the least of this deck’s problem lol. They have enough board clears and heal. The decks that are hurt the most by Asol are midrage/slow control deck. You are too slow to pressure their ramp, and your late game will never be as good as their late game.
Is Involius Vox with 3 mana 2 dragon draw good? I really like drawing for Behold cards as well as use spare spell mana effectively. Vox can singlehandedly win midrange match-ups through dragon consistency and pressuring any units under 5 health.
@@f3lcrow And they keep giving noxus more and more tools for aggro. I wish they had improved the self harm archetype and buff/give Vladimir something that could make him viable.
Trundle and Garen both have regeneration and cost 5 mana. But the extra 1 HP for Trundle makes a huge difference, especially when he has regeneration, compared to Garen. How are these two cost the same???
How many times do we have to say that Asol is a midling Tier 2 deck? It is not a problem and people has takes this over the top. P.S: Also, this is only *half of the expansion*, we're getting 2 more mini sets with the rest of the cards coming of November and December respectively
I don’t even think there is really a problem in the meta right now, but the presence of asol is speeding up the game since he destroys other midrange and late-game decks, which leaves only faster strategies to contest it which is why the meta is pretty fast right now.
@@GhostOfAmsterdam69 But after the overwhelming negative reception about the region *as a whole* (seriously I've never seen so much despise and hate for any region as big as Targon) I really expect heavy nerfs accross all Targon just to please the streamers and the reddit hivemind (They are still making rant articles 3 fucking weeks after the release, and they just keep coming). I don't think tiers have anything to do with asol's problem. Targon has access to 2 silences at extreamly low costs, 1 is permanent and costs 1 mana, the other duplicates itself at burst speed, other control decks with high mana cost followers/champions get completely screwed by this and can't compete late game even if they achieve their goals before aurelion is in the board. Remember when karma was hated for hugging control decks to death? Me neither, she got knocked out so hard she transcended space and time and ended up in the elnuck meta.

I thought of this concept as well, tbh it’s very difficult to pull of because you only have 3 (2 reliable) nightfall units in Shadow Isles so you won’t be seeing Nocturne level up very often
Hey Mogwai I got a deck idea for you if you are struggling to keep up with the daily content! What about Anivia - Karma? If u reach 10 mana and karma is leveled up you cast Winters Breath (I believe its called, the 7 mana card that frostbites all units and kills unit with 0 power) to insta- wipe the enemys board with him having 0 counterplay.
Turbo Sejuani can also shut down this deck by reducing all units power to 0
Mitchell Davis Sejuani is easy to counter with the amount of Obliterate cards Targon has, plus we have Hush, but I’m expecting some nerf to it tomorrow so I don’t know how is gonna be.
It's a bit tougher for sure but if they don't have the obliterate in time for your nautilus then it's gg
what really tilts me about this deck it's how easily can outheal agro wtf
I wouldnt worry too much, someone will be built an even more aggressove deck at some point
Aggro is the least of this deck’s problem lol. They have enough board clears and heal. The decks that are hurt the most by Asol are midrage/slow control deck. You are too slow to pressure their ramp, and your late game will never be as good as their late game.
Yeah trundle asol is so good against aggro that it went from top deck to barely existing in a few days because of said aggressive decks...
And yet all the s tier decks are Aggro
Mogwai could you do a Vi and taric deck?
Is Involius Vox with 3 mana 2 dragon draw good? I really like drawing for Behold cards as well as use spare spell mana effectively. Vox can singlehandedly win midrange match-ups through dragon consistency and pressuring any units under 5 health.
"Targon underpowered" this is craziness.
@@f3lcrow I think riot is afraid of aggro decks, nightfall is pretty balanced thou, in a Nightfall deck without Noc leveled up u cannot go face.
@@f3lcrow And they keep giving noxus more and more tools for aggro. I wish they had improved the self harm archetype and buff/give Vladimir something that could make him viable.
I believe targon is underpowered with some few very op cards like hush
Can anyone tell me where i can see my ranked on mobile (iphone), or if anything, a website that shows. Don’t have a pc so i only play on mobile
Could you make a lux leona video? I'd be interested to see how to play that deck and why it is so powerful
Do more decks with ASol there so fun
We'll never see Targon in tier 2 ever again, lat alone tier 1, at least not with call of the mountain.
Jose Echevarria I fear the same. Sucks cuz i like the meta a lot. Many stuff feels viable and nothing feels bad to queu into to me.
@@GhostOfAmsterdam69 Yeah, I pick the worst region to favor into... Guess I'll go back to frostbite i after the 1.11 and remind people the real OP champion of all: Sejuani
You need to make a Legiolas Revitalizing roar control deck with Atrocity and the guy who buff legiolas for +1/+1 Frejlord.
31:25 bro i wanted this deck to win so bad its so unique and away from the meta :( dmn mogwai
This version away from the meta ?! Man, this is the mobalytics version, this is THE meta 😅😅😅.
I built my own version, and my version (without trundle) is away from the meta 😎
great match by u and awsme deck bro.
bdw Is Fiora still be playable as stand alone. if yes can u make a deck focusing on fiora more. c has been always my fav with yasou
#JoiGurugaming
Mogwai, what about a Trundle Demacia deck? Paired maybe w/ Garen or Quinn, a lot of rally, lot of buffs.
I feel like the "Nab" mechanic is just impossible to balance. Taking your cards and playing them for 1 mana less just is just always insane value.
Aurelion in this game : absolute unit
Aurelion in league : *gets bullied by litteraly everyone*
I think Mindsplitter stun should be a skill. Not everytime it resolves, only when he comes down. Thicc and Big as he is, his ability should at least be countereable by deny or bastion.
I thought you are about to upload the Darius Aprehend deck
hey, I'm not saying you're wrong since you know more than me about runeterra and are just better than me in general. from the person I watched, he was saying it was a LITTLE under powered, but the main problem he had was that each champ could play in certain archetypes and were very limited. he actually said targon had an extremely powerful card, being hush. just letting you know from what I watched that it wasn't that the cards were underpowered.
Hey Mogwai ,is there a chance a deck of Nocturne / Swain aggro work?
I thought of this concept as well, tbh it’s very difficult to pull of because you only have 3 (2 reliable) nightfall units in Shadow Isles so you won’t be seeing Nocturne level up very often
Hey Mogwai I got a deck idea for you if you are struggling to keep up with the daily content! What about Anivia - Karma? If u reach 10 mana and karma is leveled up you cast Winters Breath (I believe its called, the 7 mana card that frostbites all units and kills unit with 0 power) to insta- wipe the enemys board with him having 0 counterplay. Could be interesting to say the least :)
i believe he already did it in his previous videos. He called that technique "Raigeki" 😂.
@@marciangarces8426 Its a reference to yugioh, The skies Descend is basically raigeki too.
I love to see this channel have views
German Trundle Voice is pretty nice tbh
Mogwai, could you do a poro deck next? Since with the new spellshield poro I really think it could be helpful in heart of the fluff
I want 1 hour long videos again
I thought you were going to make jinx and lulu deck 🤔😂
What's thoughts on taric zed support
Mogwai, do you plan on returning to MTG when Zendikar Rising drops?
The new zendikar seems fun. Even if I'm hating on mtg for the recent questionable sets, this one i might go for .
Last match against the b and n deck I lost due to a nabbed battlefury
Noc Ashe dosen't have any chance of working?
good insight on seeing past the obvious stat. that targon is "underpowered"
People evaluate decks based purely on how they "feel" to play or go against not taking into account actual stats or how it affects the meta.
( 1:03 ) ah yes my favorite archetype, TRUMP
Was he trying to say Trundle? Haha
Is Spider aggro also good against ramp Mr. Mogwai?
I like mogwai meta. It's refreshing
Me see Mogwai
Me like video cause me big fan
Aurelion sol now has stars and a meta revolving around him...hahaha :3
Yeah everyone suck his stars now haha 😅
THE TROLLS ARE GOING TO WAAAAR
To be fair, I've been playing a lot of GP Sejuani and it's farming Ramp decks. It's not burn but it can go pretty fast if it needs to. (btw I don't think Aurelion is op, I think he's just overrated, cool deck BTW 👍😎)
Huh, so it was you ! I play Aurelion since day one, and Sej/GP is a real nightmare ! I almost cry everytime... 😭
@@yuginohyuginoh9544 sorry man... I really like GP sej... (btw it's really bad vs nightfall but don't tell anyone 😉)
@@saulon3065 ok i believe you 👍
"The cosmos *will* end eventually..."
Do you think that a Lux/Aurelion Sol deck is viable?
17:30 lol our deck now remember???
Like first, comment second, watch third, comment again after video, then rewatch later and read comments for the memes.
Always hated playing against SOL decks late game, they are just too op late game
If they heal twice you can t win anymore
Trundle used to sound like a goblin this new one is way more of a chad
what about Trundle/Garen... both champions level them self and Garen might help Trundle since his Signature spell
