“Jesus Christ - The Exorcist” is a monumental project in Neal Morse’s already impressive discography. A Progressive Rock Opera 10 years in the making, it was written and produced by Morse and includes performances by Neal and an all-star cast of vocalists and musicians. “Jesus Christ the Exorcist” will be released on June 14, 2019 on a double album set featuring about two hours of music that will encompass all the spectrums and genres Neal Morse is known for and will, of course, tell the Story of Stories.
He continues, "These songs and pieces of music were all written for this rock opera specifically. I wrote the first draft in 2008 and 2009, I believe. Then, last year in preparation for a performance at MorseFest I rewrote the whole musical again. I couldn’t be happier with the final outcome and I am thrilled that it is coming out on Frontiers this June."
With a cast of amazing vocalists and musicians like Ted Leonard, Eric Gillette, Nick D’Virgilio, Randy George, Bill Hubauer, Matt Smith, Jake Livgren and others, this progressive rock opera is a landmark event that will leave its mark on every listener. “Let him who has ears to hear…let him hear!”
“Jesus Christ - The Exorcist”, had it’s live world premiere in 2018 and was performed by a Prog Rock all-star cast featuring Neal Morse (keys, guitar), Paul Bielatowicz (lead guitar), Bill Hubauer (keys), Randy George (bass), and Eric Gillette (drums). Featured vocalists included Ted Leonard (Spock's Beard, Enchant), Nick D'Virgilio (Big, Big Train, Spock's Beard), Jake Livgren (Protokaw), Matt Smith (Theocracy), Wil Morse and more. Also, John Schlitt (Petra) and Rick Florian (White Heart) were added to the performance as well.

This is all we need. 50 years after Jesus Christ Superstar, i can hear something better. Neal is the man. As a believer, i am grateful to this great musician called Neal Morse. A man that is allways singing in the name of the Lord.

I'm not a religious person but Neal Morse is my jam. I've seen him live 5 times in 4 different iterations and enjoyed every one! Here's hoping some version of this goes on tour. At least have her on the bill.

That song "The greatest love of all" is amazing. Personally I love the way the record is mixed in this video, the voices of Talon and Ted are blending so well. For me even better than the original cd record. Everything here sounds so good together. Thank you Neal and everyone for this great music.

Neal must have been so pleased with Talon's effort on his somewhat risky creation. She sure added the right stuff to put this story over the top.

I'm another one of those atheists that loves Neal. Ever since T1 I have been a huge fan and I just don't care what he's singing about because the music is so good. This whole album is fantastic! And if you are a fan of NDV you MUST listen to "Hearts Full of Holes" "Gethsemane" and "Judas' Death." Neal has some unreal ability to compose in a key that is right in Nick's sweet spot. Amazing.
I'm not an Atheist. I'm not very religious, though. Having said that, I bought this CD because I am a fan of Neal. I am also a fan of his successors in Spock's Beard(Nick and Ted). So, it's nice to also have them on this cd

If you havent seen the three of them sitting on stools with acoustic guitars sing "Solitary Soul" from the Snow tour a few years ago look it up!

This is great! But it is not cookie cutter feel good Christian music and the masses will have a hard time with it. Neal Morse produces yet another masterpiece.

That’s where you are confused. Jesus was killed by the religious. Should tip us in. It’s about a personal relationship with Jesus. He changes your heart from this inside out. Religion is man made. Relationship is Christianity.

Jesus teaches about having a relationship with Him and loving God and others. There’s nothing evil about that. Also, the Bible states that money is the root of all evil which is true. I hope, that this album gets millions of ... record sales, really. :-> What has happend to the listeners of this album? I'll pray, it touches everyone. I can't count the tears of joy. It's Neal making this true story alive again and music is praying, even for those who can't. Had to stop, it takes me away. Listen and have fun. This music is a blessing.

One of my favourite albums of all time. I cant believe we may never see it live, as it is easily on the same level as TSOAD and TGA. This video is beutiful. I particularly like how it shows Neal's passion for the project as he plays/conducts.
