Thank you so much! Eva takes up a lot of space on my favorite movies list too. I wish I could come up with a solid date for the Thrice video, but I’m not sure because there are so many other ideas I’m looking at for videos, and because it’s going to be much longer than usual. For now, I’ll say I’m targeting to have it by the anniversary of the film’s release next March.

Ah yes...Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. A movie that pretty much divided the Evangelion Fanbase in the same manner as Star Wars: The Last Jedi. A lot of people hated this movie so much that Anno got depressed again, lost interest in the Rebuild Movies, recovered from his depression and it took him only 9 YEARS to finish the Tetralogy with 3.0+1.0.
The Last Jedi is a fantastic comparison! I think both movies try to inflict substantive, meaningful change on their protagonists but were met with disdain. In a lot of ways, the reaction to 3.0 probably foreshadowed what would come to Rian Johnson.
