  • Here's a video of my small arcade I put together since I began collecting Arcade1up cabinets one year ago. I'm showcasing all the aesthetic mods I've added and you'll see two cabinets that have raspberry Pi's with new buttons/joysticks that I added for my first time. I love making these cabs looking original as much as possible. Enjoy!

Such a fun hobby. Do you own original arcade machines or the arcade1ups?

@@FROSTINATOR I have 1 original. It is a cocktail arcade like they used to have in pizza hut. I have a legends ultimate, dragons lair irrcade, and 5 quarter size arcades. The rest are arcade1up. If you like you can watch my video. The channel is EA palpatine. I'm doing another video in September when I finish it up.😁

So awesome!! Where did you get the Star Wars mold around the bezel? I have been looking for something like that for a while. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much! It's 3D printed from a guy I bought from the Facebook group Arcade1up & Modding. His name is George Addona. Reach out to him in that group and see if he's still printing them. It came in 3 pieces, however I went beyond that and added more pieces to them so they covered the control panel like the original cabinet. The original 3 pieces cover the bezel exactly. Hope this helps out!

Sweet porch arcade! I am currently up to well over 30 home arcades in my basement setup.
QUESTION: Where did you get that "Launch Ball" button for the Attack from Mars?! I had the same exact idea to do that.

Thank you! Found it on ebay. $8.00. Depending on your power source i swapped the 6volt led that comes with adding a 12 volt so it wouldn't burn out faster.

I like what you did to the Attack from Mars pinball speakers and dmd area. Is that 3d printed?

Going to make a video on that soon. Not 3D printed. I made it using thick black card stock!

First off I love your arcade. One thing caught my eye like your space invaders cabinet. Where did you get the riser for that? It makes the cabinet pop.

    • @FROSTINATOR

Thanks so much! The riser is a standard arcade1up riser and the graphics were purchased from www.arcadegraphix.com If you haven't purchased from this website yet the graphics are really great quality and easy to apply. They have a couple options for the riser and I chose the best ones that matched pretty well with the side panel art. Orders can take a food 4 to 6 weeks. The trim was done using bright yellow masking tape bought from Walmart. Two layers had to be used to cover up the black trim. Lots of people use color electrical tape but I feel masking tape applies much easier and has a nice texture.

hey few questions for u. How much does it cost to use a rasberry pi in the teenage mutant ninja turtles and was it easy to add buttons?

Hi! You can get a Raspberry pi 4 kit from Amazon for the price of $89. Comes with AC power cord, heat sinks etc. Buy an $8 micro hdmi to regular hdmi cord. Buy the correct lcd convertor board for the monitor. There are specific ones for gen 1 and and gen 3 arcade1up cabinet monitors. Lastly buy a 128gb extreme or ultra sandisk SD card to use for what ever image you want for arcade roms. Check out website arcadepunks.com for free images. The control panel on my turtles cabinet was bought from Arcademodup.com. It came with a pi 4 pre installed with cuttons, joysticks SD card games. I did mod my space invaders cabinet on my own after that and its super easy to do. I I drilled extra holes in my newer space invaders control panel using a small dremel. The dremel does a nice job but takes longer. Its easiest and cleaner using a router to cut extra button holes. I HIGHLY recommend watching youtube channel ETA Prime. He explains and shows everything on how to install a pi into an arcade1up. He also has a ton of videos aboutt arcade rom images etc. It's how I most learned. Hppe this helpd if you have more questions don't hesitate state to ask. I myself am still learning more as I go.

@@FROSTINATOR Thank you for the quick response I want to add Reims to my turtles cabinet and I’m gonna do the same thing you did I just don’t know how much it costs at the end if it was $100 mod or a $300 mod I really appreciate all the info thank you

@@KING_KONK glad to help. In the end it really comes down to how much you want to spend based off what quality of joysticks and buttons you buy etc. The Pi, lcd convertor, sd cards and hdmi cords are all pretty resonable price. If you do end up drilling extra holes in your turtles can though. Go slow. Dremel or router best option. There are some drills that work but could be disastrous if not done right. There's lots of videos in youtube too about drilling holes in a1up control panels. Good luck!
